Bacon, Mr. James Duncan to Miss ---- Wood, daughter of Isaac Wood, Esq., - all of this county. Cake received! We wish them a long and happy life. Jan 18, 1850: On Thursday evening, the 27th ult., by the Rev. T.T. Ashby, Dr. Thomas C. Ready, of Independence, to Miss Ann Maria, daughter of Dr. W.M. Belt, of Independence. Mar 29, 1850: In Independence, on the 15th inst., by the Rev. T.T. Ashby, Robt. V. Kennedy, Editor and Proprietor of this paper, to Mrs. Julia Francis, formerly of Springfield, and daughter of the late Capt. Thomas Constant of Sangamon, county, Ill. (Independence Commonwealth.) Apr 19, 1850: On Tuesday evening the 16th inst., by the Rev. E.S. Dulin, Mr. Richard Evans, merchant, to Miss Mary F. Garten, daughter of Andrew Garten – all of this place. Apr 26, 1850: In this county, on Tuesday the 23rd, inst., by Rev. E.S. Dulin, Judge J.T.V. Thompson, to Miss Emily Drew, - all of this county. On the 9th inst., at 9 o’clock, A.M., by the Rev J.T. Paxton, Dr. Wm. L. Scott of Fredericksburg, Va., to Miss Marion M., daughter of Dr. H.M. Clarkson, of Boone County, Mo. May 24, 1850: On the 14th inst., by Elder T.M. Allen, Mr. John T. Singleton, to Miss Sarah F., daughter of H.H. Ready, all of Columbia. On the 20th ult., near Toms River, N.J., by Benj. L. Irons, Mr. Joseph Grant, to Miss Amanda Irons; and on the 21st, at Dover, J.J., by Benj. L. Irons, Mr. Hendrick B. Irons, to Miss Jedidah Ann Irons. These folks certainly intend going into the Iron business. In Greenwich Conn. by the Rev. Eliphalet Peck, Mr. David Peck, to Miss Deborah Peck. Three Peck’s we find have here begun, To make two different Peck’s but one; But vain their labors we shall see, For let them pass off months a score, Three Peck’s will be increased to four, And then a bushel there will be. Jun 14, 1850: On Tuesday the 11th inst., by the Rev. Mr. Lard, Mr. William T. Duvall, of St. Joseph, to Miss Susan Agnes, daughter of William Thomasson, sr., of this county. Pitts, to Miss Sarah Thomas, daughter of widow Thomas. Jul 5, 1850: In Oregon, Mo., June 30th 1850, by Rev. G.B. Thorpe, Mr. Russell of Clay, to Miss Susan Tipton, of Holt. Jul 19, 1850: In this County on the 16th inst., by the Rev. W.H. Price, Mr. Dan R.J. Kelly, late of Scotland, to Miss Emily F. daughter of Benj. Soper, Esq., of this county. Cake received. We wish them a long and happy life. Aug 16, 1850: On the 10th inst., by the Rev. Z.N. Roberts, Dr. T.M. Bacon, (formerly of this place) to Miss Frances Ann, daughter of Maj. L. Mahony, of this county. Aug 23, 1850: In Plattsburg, August 12th, 1850, by John t. Hughes, Esq., Mr. An. Nunn, to Mrs. Sarah Hale – all of Harrison county. Aug 30, 1850: Near Liberty, August 28th, by Rev. Z.N. Roberts, Mr. E.B. Webb, to Miss Sylvia Utler – all of Clay county. Sep 13, 1850: On the 3d instant, by the Rev. Mr. Price, Mr. Hugh J. Robertson to Miss Elizabeth Chancellor, all of this county. With the above notice we received a delicious slice of the wedding cake, for which we return our hearty thanks, with best wishes for their future happiness. On Thursday, August 29th, by John T. Hughes, Esq., Mr. James Williams to Miss Elizabeth Donagan, all of Clinton county. Sep 27, 1850: In Clay county, September 19th, by Rev. E. S. Dulin, Mr. John D. Wirt, of Livingston county, Mo., to Miss Rebecca K. McWilliams of Clay county. We acknowledge the receipt of a slice of excellent cake, for which the young couple will please accept our thanks. We wish them a long, prosperous and happy life. Oct 4, 1850: In this county, on Thursday evening last, by Rev. W.H. Price, Albert G. Moseby, Esq., to Miss Mary Ann Amanda, daughter of Judge W.V. Hodges – all of Clay county. Cake received! a-n-d e-a-t-e-n! Owens, of Independence. Nov 15, 1850: On the 5th inst., in Christ Church, St. Louis, by the Tr. Rev. Dr. Hawks, Hon, Edward Carrington Cabel, of Florida, to Anna Maria Wilcox, daughter of Mrs. General Ashley. On the 5th inst., by Elder T.M. Allen, Christopher T. Garner, Esq., of Richmond, Ray county, to Miss Elizabeth B., daughter of Capt. James Mosby, of Callaway county. In Boonville, on the evening of the 31st Oct’r., by Rev. J.L. Yantis, Robert L. Spencer, Mr. James T. Hadley, to Miss Mary Catharine Mitchell – all of this place.
