Hollingsworth, of Clay county, to Miss Margaret Swope, of Parkville. Feb 1, 1856: In St. Louis, on Wednesday 23d ult., at the Cathedral, by the very Rev. Archbishop Kenrick, Mr. Graham L. Hughes, to Mrs. Mary Ann Murphy, all of St. Louis. On the 22nd ult., by Elder N. Flood, Hon. Wade M. Jackson, to Mrs. Hannah A. Conner, of Boone. Feb 8, 1856: In this city, on the 7th inst., by Rev. Jno. G. Fackler, Mr. A.B. Hathaway, of Weston, to Mrs. Elvin A. Flandro, of Liberty. In this county on the 18th inst., by Rev. B. T.F. Cake, Mr. Wm. Osborne, to Miss Leah Darnall. April 18, 1856: In St. Bernard, Clay Co., Mo., on the 3d inst., by the Rev. G. Fackler, Mr. L.F. Jackson to Miss Martha A. Bassitt. On the same evening by the same, Mr. James Mitchell, to Miss M. Donivan, also of St. Bernard. Apr 25, 1856: On the 22d inst., by the Rev. Henry Hitt, Mr. Presly G. Wilhite, of Weston, to Miss Mary L. Price, of this county. May 23, 1856: On the 20th inst., in Platte City Mo., by the Rev. Jno,. G. Fackler, Joseph A. Brown Esq., St. Louis, to Miss Martha, eldest daughter of Hon. George P. Dorriss, of St. Louis county. May 30, 1856: In this county on the 20th, by Rev. Robt. S. Thomas, Mr. W.H. Thatcher, of Westport, to Miss T.J. Sullivan, of this county. On Thursday the 29th inst., at the residence of Wm. Cooper, Esq., by Justice T.S. Dabney, Mr. Fielding Huggins, to Miss Jane Hall, daughter of the late Anderson Hall, all of Clay county. Aug 8, 1856: In this city, on Thursday evening, the 7th inst., by Rev. J.G. Fackler, Mr. William H. Fisher, to Miss Magg Clara, daughter of E.D. Murray, Esq., - all of this city. Aug 29, 1856: At Prairie Park, on Tuesday morning, 26th inst., by Rev. Wm. M. Rush, Fitzhugh Carter Frost to Sarah Catharine, daughter of the Hon. James H. Birch. Sep 5, 1856: In Leavenworth City on the 21st, by Squire Taylor, W.C. Rolings, Esq., to Mrs. Mary Withers, all of Delaware, K.T. On the 21st ult., by Rev. Mr. Woodward, Mr. Jas. E. Harvey, of Parkville, to Miss Mary E. Jacks, of Platte. Oct 3, 1856: In Clinton county, Sept. 30th, Mr. Thos. W. Swope to Miss Margaret D. Long. Dollar received; for which the happy couple have our warmest thanks. May their union prove a happy one, and sorrow and adversity never becloud their matrimonial sky. Oct 31, 1856: In this city, on Thursday evening, the 23rd instant, by Elder M.E. Lard, Mr. James G. Adkins, to Miss Mary Eliza, daughter of James M. Keller, Esq., all of this city. We tender our sincere thanks to “Jim” and “Mollie,” for the beautiful cake and other tricks sent us, and wish them complete happiness. “There’s a bliss beyond all that the minstrel hath told, When two that are linked in one heavenly tie, With heart never changing, and brow never cold, Love on thro’ all ills and live on till they die. Nov 7, 1856: In Lexington, on the 28th ult., by Rev. T.M. Finney, Mr. N.S. Prentiss, to Miss Roxana Bradford. Nov 21, 1856: In this city, on the 6th inst., by Rev. J.G. Fackler, Mr. Thomas Leitch, to Miss A.J. Hall, daughter of John R. Hall, Esq., all of this county. Dec 12, 1856: On the 4th inst., by Rev. John G. Fackler, Mr. Wm. H. Russell, to Miss Ann E., daughter of Wm. Starke, Esq., all of Clay co. On the 10th inst., by Elder Leake, Mr. Joseph Downing, to Miss Louisa, daughter of Col. Jos. Turnham, all of Clay co. In Atchinson, K.T., on 18th ult., by Rev. Mr. Hoagland, Mr. Geo. T. Challiss, to Miss Florence Imogene Bennett, all of the above place. Dec 19, 1856: On the 17th inst., by Rev. Lewis Frankllin, M. John S. Pryor, to Miss Matilda McMillan; both of Liberty. At the residence of Thomas N. Stinson, in Tecumseh, K.T., on Thursday evening Dec 4th, 1856, by Rev. Mr. Rice, Mr. John M. Reed, formerly of Liberty, Mo., to Miss Martha Boshman, of Tecumseh. On Tuesday, 9th inst., by Rev. Z. Quesenbury, Mr. Z.B. Bransford, to Miss Mary, A. Allen, all of Ray county. In this county on the 14th inst., by Rev. Jno. S. Major, Mr. John R. Hall, of this city, to Mrs. Sarah Hull, all of this county. Gold dollar received. We wish our newly married friends a long life, and may they have many little joys to cheer them on. Dec 26, 1856: On the 17th inst., by Rev. John G. Fackler, Mr. John E. Lingenfelter, to Miss Emeline Dimmitt, all of Clay county. On the 18th inst., by Rev. John G. Fackler, Mr. John K. Dougherty, to Miss Irene F., daughter of A.G. Reed, Esq., all of Liberty. From the above it will be seen that our young bachelor friend (J.K.D.) has become irrevocably entangled in the blissful meshes of matrimony.
