Sheriff’s Sale
Thomas R. Martin, James Yates, and Catharine his wife, George McConnell, and 
Mary his wife, Mary Ann Martin, Francis Mills and Susan his wife,
Vs. } Partition
Benedick Yates, guardian of James E. Yates, Louis D. Yates, Mary A. Yates, 
Charles W. Yates, Benedick J. Yates, Stephen Yates, Elizabeth Yates, Curran H. 
Yates, William N. Yates and Victoria Yates, minor children of the said Benedick 
Yates and of Elizabeth Yates, formerly Martin, his wife deceased.
By virtue of an order of the Circuit Court of Clay county in the State of 
Missouri, made at the April term thereof, A.D., 1866, and to the directed and 
delivered, I, James M. Jones, sheriff of Clay county, Missouri, will on Monday, 
the 22d day of October, A.D., 1866, between the hours of nine o’clock in the 
forenoon, and five o’clock in the afternoon of said day, and while the Clay 
circuit court is in session, sell at public auction to the highest bidder, at 
the court house door in the city of Liberty, in the county of Clay, in the 
State of Missouri, to-wit:  The east half of the northeast quarter of section 
eight, township fifty-two, of range thirty-one; also the northwest quarter of 
the northeast quarter of the same section township and range, containing one 
hundred and twenty acres, more or less; also a part of the north west quarter 
of section nine, township fifty, range thirty-one containing one and one-half 
acres, more or less.
