A wedding was solemnized at Plattsburg, Clinton county, Missouri, last week, which will be of interest to many Blair countians, the bride having many relatives here and her father being a scion of one of Blair county's oldest families. The bride is a first cousin of J. C. and D. E. Sell of this city. For the following account of the nuptials, the Times is indebted to the Plattsburg Leader: Oliver Perry Williams, jr., and Miss Lucie Sell were married Wednesday evening at 4 o'clock, at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. H. M. Brubaker of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were unusually tactful in keeping their secret until the date of the wedding day and in keeping with the wartime simplicity of these occasions this year in a quiet way were wed, being accompanied only by Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hoover, who were close friends. Miss Lucie is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. D. D. Sell of this city, and has been in the employ of the New York stores for the past three years where she has won many friends and acquaintances throughout the country. She is an accomplished girl in an unusual way, for besides her business ability, she is possessed with practical domestic ideas which go to make a good home maker and housekeeper, as well as being very studious and artistic and will make a most helpful companion for Mr. Williams. The groom is the son of Judge and Mrs. O. P. Williams. He is a most reserved, refined, studious young man with sterling qualities of heart and mind having the most high ideals of life. He has spent much time in college since his graduation from Pittsburgh [sic] schools. They will make their home on the O. P. Williams farm six miles north of Plattsburgh during the winter months, while a house is being removed and remodeled on the building site just opposite Victory school. Many friends of this worthy couple wish for them a bright and prosperous future. Additional Comments: I am not related to this family.
