RITCHEY (sic), of the County of Cooper, in the State of Missouri, declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, to-wit: I. My daughter, Rhoda Potts, wife of Jeff. (sic) Potts, now residing in the State of California, has received from me her full share of my estate by way of advancements and gifts, which I have made to her, and as I desire my children to share equally in my property, I do not give her in this will anything further than she has already received. II. My son Joshua Ritchey (sic) owes me more than his share in the estate, and I therefore give him nothing in addition to what he has received from me heretofore. III. I give and bequeath FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00) to each of the children of my daughter Nancy, deceased, who first married James Majors, and after his death, married Lon Potts. I have not seen or heard from any of her children for a number of years, but I make this bequest to them to show that they are remembered by me. IV. I give, devise, and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate – real, personal, and mixed, and wheresoever (sic) situated, to my sons: John W.; Andrew J.; Wesley E.; James W.; and Robert E., share and share alike; except I charge Andrew J. with Two Hundred Thirty Dollars ($230.00), with interest from February, 1911; and any notes held by me and signed by any of the benefic-iaries shall be charged against the share of such beneficiary. V. I nominate and appoint E. E. Amick Executor of this, my Last will and testament, and direct him to sell and convey any and all of my real estate for the purpose of making distribution among the parties entitled thereto under this will, and hereby provide that none of the distributees shall in any way attempt to take the land in kind. WITNESS my hand this 19th day of January, 1917. (signed) J R Richey Signed by the above named John R Ritchey (sic), and declared by him to be his last will and testament in our presence, and we, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereto signed our names as witnesses this 19th day of January, 1917.
