Villages of Crawford County, Missouri - AMANDA At the time the town of Cuba was surveyed there was no house within one-half mile, the nearest one being George M. Jamison's, at which he kept a post office named Amanda, after his wife. For more of the history of Cuba see The History of Cuba.
