Gamble Floyd Gamble was born April 4, 1924 to Aaron Thomas and Pearl (Clemmons) Gamble. He passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his home in Cherryville, Missouri at the age of 83 years. On September 11, 1945, he was united in marriage to Lola (Lawson) Gamble who survives of the home. Floyd was retired from the Laclede Gas Company in St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Ronald Aaron Gamble and wife Brenda of Hillsboro, Missouri, Mike Gamble of Cherryville, Missouri, Wayne Edward Gamble and wife Judy of Flemington, Missouri and Mark Anthony Gamble of Bourbon, Missouri; two daughters, Rhonda Day and husband Tom of Cherryville, Missouri and Debbie Day and husband Greg of Hillsboro, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Gamble and Webb Gamble both of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Fay Metcalf of Potosi, Missouri; other relatives and friends. There was a Private Family burial. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri. Anna Ruth Koyn Anna Ruth Koyn of Cuba, Missouri was born February 1, 1923 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of William J. and Alice E. (nee Hogan) Pils and passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 25 days. Anna was united in marriage to Emmett “Frank” Koyn on November 20, 1942 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union one son was born. She was the owner/operator of a ceramic studio for several years. She not only enjoyed doing ceramics herself, but she also taught others. She was an oil and china painter and would sew clothes for the china dolls she would make. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Billy and Edward Pils; three brothers-in-law, Harold Koyn, Walter Anderson and Charles Manges. She is survived by her son, Walter and wife Jackie Koyn of Cuba, Missouri; three grandchildren, Tim and wife Debbie Koyn of Cuba, Missouri, Michaele Koyn of Liberty, Missouri and Jennifer Koyn of Liberty, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Zachariah, Elijah and Miranda Koyn of Cuba, Missouri, Caleb and wife April Croquart of St. Louis, Missouri and Jared Croquart of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Bernice A. and husband Lenny Beck of St. Louis, Missouri; five sisters-in-law, Joan Pils of Boerne, Texas, Dorothy Anderson, Betty Manges, Loretta and husband Ronald Slaughter and Marian and husband Charles Rose; two brothers-in-law, Charles and wife Mary and Donald and wife Rosalin Koyn; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Visitation was held Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007 with Pastor Steven Wick officiating at Britton Funeral home of Cuba, Missouri. Pallbearers were Tim Koyn, Zak Koyn, Eli Koyn, Neil Pils, John Pils, Mark Pils and Larry Cate. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Norma J. Mace Norma J. Mace (nee Wilmurth) of Rolla, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 29, 1931 and passed away December 29, 2007 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 76 years. She and her husband, Carroll Mace, enjoyed a happy marriage for nearly 54 years. She was preceded in death by her father, James Wilmurth. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Ruth Wilmurth of St. James, Missouri; five children, Caryn Luetkemeyer and husband Dave of Springfield, Missouri, Steve Mace and wife Dodi of Atlanta, Georgia, Randy Mace and wife Lynn of Cuba, Missouri, Jimmy Mace and wife Jackie of Rolla, Missouri, and Greg Mace of Rolla, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Sommer Luetkemeyer, Heather Luetkemeyer, and Whitney Luetkemeyer Johnson and husband Ben of Springfield, Missouri, Kelly and Cailin Mace of Atlanta, Georgia, Austin and Aaron Mace of Cuba, Missouri and Hannah and Logan Mace of Rolla, Missouri; one brother, Jimmy Wilmurth and wife Jan of Rolla, Missouri; three sisters, Ruth Breuer and husband Bill of Houston, Texas, Sharon Hale and husband Lewis of Winston- Salem, North Carolina and Judy Dixon and husband Roger of Jefferson City, Missouri; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A funeral service celebrating Norma’s life was conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Null and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace officiating. Interment followed at the Ozark Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends was held on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. All arrangements are under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri. Carl H. Pohle Carl H. Pohle was born on November 19, 1937 at Dillon, to his parents Carl A. and Mary (Gay) Pohle. He passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Wednesday December 19, 2007. He was 70 years, 1 month. He lived on a farm in the Dillon community west of St. James. He attended grade school at Dillon and attended High School in Rolla, Missouri where he graduated in 1955. He was united in marriage to Gussie Lupberger on June 7, 1961 at the St. James Christian Church in St. James, Missouri with Brother Fred Barber officiating the ceremony. Carl was a retired Missouri Highway Patrolman. He started with the Missouri Highway Patrol in 1959 as a vehicle inspector. He became a trooper in 1960 and served for 33 1/2 years when he retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing and loved to collect antique tools. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cuba and was a 32 degree mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifford Pohle. He is survived by his wife of the home; one daughter, Gayla Marie Pohle; one son, Dwight Carl Pohle and wife Kris of St. James, Missouri; one sister, Lela Mae Steen of St. James, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Ruth Pohle of Blue Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Samantha and Megan. Visitation was held from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri. Memorial service was conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Steve Barber officiating, with Laura Garver vocalist and Connie Rhea organist. Graveside services with Honors from the Missouri Highway Patrol were at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Steve Barber officiating with burial in the family plot. All arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
