Arlene married Noel K. "Jack" Alexander on December 16, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri. She owned and operated Arlene's Gifts and Crafts in Cuba, Missouri for several years. She then was bookkeeper for Alexander Muffler and Brake. After retirement, Arlene and Jack enjoyed many years wintering in South Texas. Arlene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Myrtle Holum; son, Jonnie Johnson; daughter, Kyle Gwen Gross; four brothers; two sisters; and brother-in-law, Keith Miller. Carolyn "Carrie" Joan Archer Carolyn "Carrie" Joan Archer (nee Ford) of Sligo, Missouri was born November 19, 1933 in Reed City, Michigan to Wendell and Gaynell Helfrich Ford and passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 11 days. In June of 1954 she married Lt. Col. Bill Archer at West Point. After the military retirement of her husband, she and Bill moved to Sligo, Missouri in 1978. They became members of the Sligo United Methodist Church and spent time taking care of their cattle and bowling. Carrie and her husband traveled all 50 states and Canada with also driving from Panama to the U.S. They were members of the Carriage Travel Club which they enjoyed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Gaynell Ford; husband, Bill Archer, brother-in-law, John Archer; and sister-in-law, Patricia Archer. Barbara June Berry Barbara June Berry (nee Farrar) of Steelville, Missouri was born September 20, 1947 in Waynesville, Missouri to Raymond and Estella Dulany Farrar and passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Sullivan at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 11 days. On September 13, 1975 in Steelville, Missouri Barbara married Stanley Berry. Barbara graduated from Steelville High School in 1965. She was employed at the Division of Family Services retiring after 40 years. Throughout the years, Barbara was involved in the community as a 4-H leader and as a member of the Meramec Extension Club. She attended the Steelville Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed singing and sang in the choir in the Lutheran and Presbyterian Church before joining the Steelville Assembly of God. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and knitting and loved working in her flower garden where she proved to have a green thumb. Barbara was there to help raise her niece and nephew after their mother died. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Estella Farrar; husband, Stanley Berry; one sister, Gail Hutson; and her father and mother-in-law, Carl and Maxine Berry. Joe Mason Bond Joe Mason Bond of St. James, Missouri was born in Smithville, Tennessee to Garrison (G.L). and Gardie Bain Bond and passed away Saturday December 28, 2019 at the age of 68 years. On June 24, 2006 in St. James, Missouri he married Alice Beatrice Maynard. Joe grew up in Smithville, Tennessee and after meeting Bea, they moved to St. James, Missouri. He loved taking care of his farm, mowing and brush hogging his acreage and enjoyed his fishing pond. He was a 34 year career Army Veteran, and was not shy to share his experiences and story of the Army life. Dillon was born April 24, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clara Erhardt and passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at the age of 96 years, 8 months and 10 days. In August 1949 he married Faith Clonts of Steelville, Missouri. He accepted Jesus as a young man and was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church. At the age of 19, Richard served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. After his discharge from his military service, he enrolled in Ag school at the University of Missouri. Upon graduation, he received a position in Steelville, Missouri teaching agriculture to WWII Veterans through a program offered by the University of MO and that is where he met his wife, Faith. Richard spent the majority of his career working for the State of MO Highway Department as an appraiser and negotiator in Jackson County, building new highways and working there until retirement. Richard enjoyed the outdoor life of fly fishing, hunting and gardening. At the age of 89, inspired by his nieces and nephews, he enjoyed bike riding on the Katy Trail. When he turned 90, he celebrated his birthday on an eight mile bike ride with his nieces and nephews and friends. He was known as the oldest bicyclist in Franklin County. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two daughters, Connie Lynn Dillon Lamb and Nancy Lee Dillon Harvey; son-in-law, Jim Harvey; his wife, Faith Dillon; and brothers-in-law, Jim Gladden and Wayne "Jumby" Gladden. Angie worked at Life Care Center, Sullivan, Missouri until 2011 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She had to retire when her health began to decline. Angie enjoyed cooking, shopping, yard sales and going to auctions. She was always looking for something with lots of bling. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her husband David. Angie was a true fighter and she never gave up. James was saved at a young age, he loved the Lord and was very active throughout the years at First Southern Baptist Church in Leasburg, Missouri serving the Lord in many ways. He enjoyed being outside, cutting grass, gardening and taking care of his yard. Feeding the deer, birds and squirrels brought him hours of enjoyment. She attended and graduated from Draughon's Business School in Springfield, Missouri. Joyce married Dorman Mounce. She was employed at Missouri Home Health Care for a few years and also became a Tupperware dealer in later years. Joyce was a faithful member of Steelville First Baptist Church until her health declined. She sang in the choir and always enjoyed all of the church's activities, especially the women's Bible studies. Joyce also loved to visit and talk with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bessie Farrar; three brothers, Ralph, Richard and Jim Farrar; and sister, Betty Rulo. Smith was born March 16, 1934 and passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 4 days. As a young adult, Billy proudly served in the U.S. Air Force based in Japan. Throughout his career as a carpenter, he was an active member of Carpenter's Union Local #5. Later he was a member of the Davisville, Missouri American Legion Post 601. His last few years were spent between homes in Davisville, Missouri and Louisville, Illinois. Billy loved hunting, fishing, football and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Smith (nee Martin).
