Herman E. “Benny” Benson
Herman E. “Benny” Benson of St. James, Missouri was born on March 16, 1938
in St. James, Missouri to Herman Edward and Ruby Stambaugh (McDonald) Benson
and passed away at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on
Monday, January 2, 2012 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 17 days.
Benny Benson Benny was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Parrish on
November 18, 1961 at the St. James Christian Church in St. James, Missouri.
Benny worked for the St. James Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years; also
for UMR for 24 years; International Shoe Company for 6 years; Bowling
Coachlite in Rolla, Missouri for five years, and also for the Jess Nelson
Bowling Alley and the Movie Theatre in St. James, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Edward Benson; his mother,
Ruby Stambaugh (McDonald) Benson and step-father, Wilbur Stambaugh.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of St. James, Missouri; one son, Bruce
Benson and wife Laura of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Lawrence “Larry”
Braziel and wife Sue of Portland, Maine; three sister-in-laws, Alice Gnemi;
Helen Harris; and Shirley Parrish; one special grandson, Jeremiah; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the
Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at
the Jones Funeral Home with Craig Rippy officiating. Music was furnished
by Avis Rainbolt the vocalist and organist Becky Rippy.
Pallbearers were Randy Ray, Don Licklider, Tom Brown, Bruce Parton, John
Douglas and Scott McWhorter and honorary pallbearers were the St. James
Fire Protection District.
Burial was in the family plot in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens in
Rolla, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home
in St. James, Missouri.
Myrna Kay Blue
Myrna Kay Blue nee Adams, of Robertsville, Missouri, formerly of New Baden,
Illinois, was born February 18, 1937 in Joliet, Illinois to John and
Katherine, nee Lauer, Adams and passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 in
Robertsville, Missouri at the age of 74 years.
On August 12, 1961 she was united in marriage to Edward Blue in East
St. Louis, Illinois.
She was a grade school music teacher for 40 years. Throughout her career
she taught at St. Louis and Illinois public schools until her retirement
at Shaw School. She was the Conductor for The Belleville Philharmonic
Youth Orchestra.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Blue; her parents, John
and Katherine Adams.
She is survived by one son, Brian Blue and wife Patricia of Robertsville,
Missouri; one daughter, Kim Blue and husband Chris Koszalka of Prairie
Farm, Wisconsin; one step-daughter, Sandy Dockins and husband Terry of
Delaware State; one sister, Paula Cason and husband Larry of Owensville,
Missouri; eight grandchildren, Lola, Pearl, Meghan, Thomas, Timothy,
Summer, Lance and Melanie; five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Mariah, Ty,
Kaleo, and Kaden; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Midlawn
Funeral Home, Union, Missouri.

Lisa Christine Bruning
Lisa Christine Bruning (Harmon) of Japan, Missouri, was born to
Walter J. Harmon Jr., and Isabelle M. Harmon (Naro) on July 24, 1964 in
Kirkwood, Missouri and passed away December 23, 2011 at the Missouri
Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lisa was christened on August 16, 1964 at the Immaculate Conception
Church in Arnold, Missouri. Her family moved to Leasburg, Missouri in
1973 and she attended the Bourbon School District. She was baptized
again on August 4, 1996 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Ridgetop,
Tennessee.
Lisa was fond of birds. She was known as the “chicken whisperer.” She
also had two green thumbs. She enjoyed fishing, was a passionate chef
and a disgruntled archeologist and a St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Lisa was first joined in marriage to Kenny Bloodworth and three children
were born to this union.
Lisa returned to her Leasburg home where she met David Paul Bruning.
On February 12, 2000, they were married.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter J. Harmon, Sr.,
Helen M. Harmon (Grueber), Joseph Naro and Isabelle M. Naro (Pino);
mother-in-law, Marcie L. Bruning (Schaefer), father-in-law, Lawrence E.
Bruning and nephew, Keith M. Harmon.
She is survived by her parents, Walter J. and Isabelle M. Harmon of
Leasburg, Missouri; husband, David Paul Bruning of the home; son, Jacob
Hunter Bloodworth of the home; daughters, Rachel Ann Bloodworth and
partner Scott Martin of Whitehouse, Tennessee and Lauren Marie Bloodworth
and partner Casey Hodgin of Franklin, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Mary
Jane Bruning and partner Paul Watson of Leasburg, Missouri; sisters and
brothers, Walter Harmon, Jr. and wife Betty of High Ridge, Missouri,
Steve Harmon and wife Linda of Sullivan, Missouri, Patrick Harmon and

Elmer E. Chew
Elmer E. Chew was born February 14, 1931 in Pacific, Missouri to Harry
and Helen Chew, and passed away January 14, 2012 in Cuba, Missouri at the
age of 80 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Helen Chew; his brothers,
Harry Edward Chew Jr. and Harold Chew; nephew, Ben L. Chew Jr. and
sister-in-law, Dorma Lee Chew.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Chew and significant other Shirley
Beal of Bolivar, Missouri and Ben Chew and wife Arbell of Cuba, Missouri;
sister, Peggy Danley of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.

Richard Warren “Bo” Dildine
Richard Warren “Bo” Dildine of Cuba, Missouri was born November 24, 1950
at St. Louis, Missouri to Cecil Clifton and Thelma Delana (nee Thompson)
Dildine and passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at his home in Cuba,
Missouri at the age of 61 years.
Bo was united in marriage to Connie Taylor on October 7, 1984 at
St. Clair, Missouri.
Bo spent his life serving others. He served in the United States Coast
Guard and then the National Guard during the 1970’s.
He was a police officer for Bourbon before moving to Cuba and becoming
a Cuba Police Officer in the early 1990’s. Bo became the Chief of Police
of Cuba in August of 2008 until present.
He attended the Covenant Praise Church of God, member of the Christian
Motorcycle Association and the Redeemed Riders Chapter 1068. Bo and Connie
were foster parents for Crawford County and the surrounding area for many
years. What Bo truly enjoyed was riding his motorcycle, spending time
with Connie, taking care of his “Boys” on the police department, being
dad and grandpa and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Thelma Dildine; one
son, Lucas Light; three brothers, Arthur Holrath, Cecil E. Dildine and
James Dildine; one sister, Patricia Alvey; other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Dildine; three sons, Christopher
Robert Dildine and Amy Skaggs of Rolla, Missouri, Kenneth “Lee” and wife
Amanda Dildine of Leasburg, Missouri and Patrick Dildine of Cuba, Missouri;
two daughters, Misty and husband Gary Halbert of Steelville, Missouri and
Chelsea Dildine of Steelville, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, Tyler, Robert,
Jordan, Malachi, Makayla, Kegan, Elijah, Ashleigh, Dakota, Sierra, Jada,
Zoe, Elizabeth and Danielle; two brothers, Thomas Dildine of Hermann,
Missouri and Michael and wife Claudia Dildine of St. Clair, Missouri; two
sisters, Sharon and husband Larry Birchfield of St. Louis, Missouri and
Nina and husband Eddie Thompson of Lonedell, Missouri; former wives and
special friends, Deborah Aksoy of Rolla, Missouri and Sue Bonser of
Steelville, Missouri; the entire Cuba Police Department and their families;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Recklein
Auditorium, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2010 at the Recklein
Auditorium in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jim Delacourt and Pastor Terry
King officiating.
Pallbearers were Bo’s children and law enforcement.
Interment, prayers and full military honors followed at the Kinder
Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Ricky “Dylan” English
Ricky “Dylan” English of Steelville, Missouri was born on Saturday,
March 21, 1992 in Rolla, Missouri to Gary and Shanna Grubaugh English and
passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the age of 19 years,
9 months and 21 days.
Dylan had worked a short time as a cook at Sonic drive-in. His hobbies
were camping, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary English; grandparents,
Josephine Grubaugh, Ricky English, Pat and Imogene English; and infant
uncle, John W. Grubaugh.
He is survived by his mother, Shanna English of Steelville, Missouri;
brother, Steven Ryan Volner of Salem, Missouri; sisters, Natasha English
and Tiffany English, all of St. Louis, Missouri; grandfather, William
“Bill” Grubaugh of Steelville, Missouri and grandmother, Karen Daniels
of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts, Sheryl Grubaugh of Springfield, Missouri,
Richana English and Serena English, all of St. Louis, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral service
11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Dale Grubaugh officiating.
Burial was at the Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri. Arrangements
under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri.
Kenneth W. “Bill” Fey
Kenneth W. “Bill” Fey of Cuba, Missouri was born to Paul and Ella (Kuhlmann)
Fey on November 28, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Wednesday,
January 11, 2012 at his home at the age of 75 years.
Bill retired from Bussen Quarries in St. Louis after 32 years of dedicated
service. He was a 45-year member of Local No. 110 and he proudly served his
country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, St. Louis Cardinals,
wood crafts, pinochle, soccer, telling stories to the family, country music,
but most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ella Fey; wife of 51
years, Mary E. Fey; four sisters, Hazel Tempfer, Helen Drinnin, Edna Fendler,
Rosemary Arias; two brothers, Teeter and Paul Fey, Sr.; and great grandson,
Drake Fey.
He is survived by his four children, Kelly and husband Everett Uhl of Cuba,
Missouri, Mike and wife Tammie Fey of Cuba, Missouri, Kurt and wife Michelle
Fey of Barnhart, Missouri, Joe Fey of Cuba, Missouri; nine grandchildren,
Shannon and husband Chad Caron, Michael Uhl and girlfriend Lindsey Verble,
Jennifer and husband Daniel Garbo, Tara and husband Nick Weber, Michael Fey,
Jr., Christina Fey and Fiance Darren Clifford, Ashley Barbey, Joe Fey and
Kasse Fey; 10 great grandchildren, Cameron, Courtney, Naythan, Blaze, Jadelyn,

Terry William Parker
Terry William Parker, son of Bill and Myrtle Parker, was born June 20, 1945,
in Vienna, Missouri and passed away January 1, 2012, in his home near Rolla,
Missouri at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 26 days.
On July 11, 1964, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Whitehead and
to this union two sons and one daughter were born.
He was born and raised in Vienna and graduated from Vienna High School.
After he and Barbara were married, they made their home in Vienna and the
Kansas City area. On June 1, 1967, Terry proudly joined the Missouri Highway
Patrol, beginning his career as a patrolman and the family moved to Festus.
The family would later move to Waynesville, Missouri and eventually settle in
Rolla, Missouri. Terry continued with the Patrol until retiring as a Sergeant
on September 1, 1997.
Terry made his profession of faith in Christ early in his life and was a
member of Rolla Church of Christ where he served a number of years as a
deacon and was serving as an elder at the time of his passing.
Terry enjoyed traveling with Barbara including RV trips to Florida and
Alaska. Family was extremely important to Terry and he spent time with
them hunting, fishing, snow skiing and motorcycling. He was an avid
spectator of the grandchildren’s sporting events. Every summer included
family time on the Gasconade River.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Myrtle Parker and two
sisters, Billie Havens and Louise Roberson.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; son, Shane and his wife
Melissa of Aurora, Missouri; son, Shawn and his wife Tonya of Grain Valley,
Missouri; and daughter, Shannon and her husband Derric Fane of Rolla,
Missouri; nine grandchildren, Andrew Parker, Rachel Parker, Parker Fane,
Emily Parker, Kennedy Fane, Reece Parker, Hayden Fane, Reagan Parker, and
Riley Parker; brother, Jim Parker and wife Mickey of Vienna, Missouri;
sister, Joy Chambers and husband Butch of Rolla, Missouri; sister, Ruth Poor
and husband Sonny of Lawson, Missouri; sister, Nellie Sandbothe and husband
Louis, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at James &
Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri.
Services were held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Rolla
Church of Christ with George Hulett officiating.
Interment at the Vienna City Cemetery.

Lucille Proffer
Lucille Proffer, nee Abney, of Cuba, Missouri, was born November 17, 1930
in Huzzah, Missouri to Earl and Mabel Bays Abney and passed away Wednesday,
January 11, 2012 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 81 years.
She was united in marriage to Herbert Proffer on August 20, 1955 in
St. Louis, Missouri and he passed away December 19, 2009.
Lucille was of the Baptist faith. For many years, she enjoyed camping with
her family, driving through the Huzzah area and watching comedies on TV.
But most of all, she loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mabel Abney; her
husband, Herbert; one sister, Erma Jean Allen; and one grandson, Scott
Kirkendall.
She is survived by her 10 children, Jackie Kirkendall and husband Butch
of Maplewood, Missouri, Sharon Langdon of Fenton, Missouri, JoAnn Moore
of Breckenridge Hills, Missouri, Karen Heibenstriet and husband Paul of
Dallas, Texas, Barb Ort, Chuck Proffer and Steve Proffer and wife Lisa all
of Cuba, Missouri, Kim Dreyer and husband Carlin of Affton, Missouri, David
Proffer and Lisa Copling both of Cuba, Missouri; one brother Richard Abney
and wife Libby of Bourbon, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 19 great
grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Norman
Heironimus officiating. Special music of “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace”
was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Skaggs Cemetery, Huzzah, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Chris Barton, Corey Barton, Brad Ray, John Stuart, Mark
Hebenstreit, Brad Bell, Mark Palmar and Denny Pollard.

Steelville, Missouri.
Eleanore Jean Thorson
Eleanore Jean Thorson of Cuba, Missouri was born to Martin and Lelia
(Wells) Worlie on November 14, 1927 in Little Falls, Minnesota and passed
away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her home at the age of 84 years.
Eleanore was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching
TV, gardening, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lelia Worlie;
husband, Adolph Stewart “Stew” Thorson; son, James Thorson; sister, Ella
Mae Domshot; brothers, Don, Duane, Lyle and Ken Worlie and a granddaughter,
Heather Thorson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy and husband Dennis Hattersley
of Cuba, Missouri, Cindy and husband Jim Hopkins of Boise, Idaho;
five grandchildren, Jason, Travis and Alicia Nefzger, Dennis and Michael
Hattersley; three great grandchildren, Ella and Gavin Nefzger and Chelsea
Hopkins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. until
time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home,
Brainerd, Minnesota.
Interment will follow at the Valle Cemetery, Brainerd, Minnesota.

Doris A. Wenzel
Doris A. Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri was born to George and Kitty (Moore)
Danielson on January 11, 1930 Jericho, Missouri and passed away Thursday,
January 12, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri
at the age of 82 years.
Doris was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Wenzel on July 9, 1945 in Rolla,
Missouri and to this union five daughters were born.
Doris retired from Paramount Apparel Factory in Bourbon after many years of
dedicated service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon,
Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, flowers, playing rummy
and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Kitty Danielson;
step-mother, Kathryn Danielson; one brother, J.C. Danielson; one sister,
Marguerite Shelton-Stroup; one granddaughter, Kelly Jean Elliott.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri;
five daughters, Donna and husband Al Summers of Anutt, Missouri, Jane
Valley of Bourbon, Missouri, Joyce Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri, Ruth and
husband Royce Missey of Leasburg, Missouri and Patty and husband Robert
Mesger of Sullivan, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Elliott, Sheila
Henson, Brett and Damon Summers, George and Jerry Valley, Becky, Ed and
Tim Missey and Amanda Mesger; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Thelma

funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Cook,
officiating.
Interment followed at the Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Pallbearers were Ed Misssey, Jamie Elliott, Jimmy Henson, George Valley,
Damon Summers, Joe Murphy and Ronnie Wenzel.
