Jerry Wayne Bradshaw
Jerry Wayne Bradshaw was born December 15, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri and
passed away January 9, 2010 at St. James, Missouri at the age of 57 years.
Jerry was interested in building hot rods, race cars, fishing, grandkids,
family, and friends. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsie and Viola (Junkerman)
Bradshaw; two brothers, Bobby and David; one sister, Betty Archer; his wife,
Donna Bradshaw and an infant son, Eric.
He is survived by his fiancée, Andrea Loughridge of St. James, Missouri;
four children, Justin Bradshaw of St. James, Missouri, Kim Garrett and
fiance, Joe Taylor of Licking, Missouri, Danny and Tammy Rowe; two sisters,
Doris Potter of Illinois, Norma Jean Bradshaw of Missouri; three grand-
children, Breanna, Levi and Kaylee Garrett of Licking, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Jerry Bradshaw was January 13, 2010 in the Wilson
Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Bobby Mathis officiating. Special musical
selections were played.
Pallbearers were Leland Ellerman, Bill Lunn, Rick Bullock, Chris Bradshaw,
Eric Ellston and Lauren Newbound.
Interment was in the Anutt Cemetery.

Missouri.
James “Jim’ Brand
James “Jim” Henry Brand of Steelville, Missouri, was born July 29, 1930 in
Anaconda, Missouri to Harold and Margery Mae (Kimberlin) Brand and passed
away January 12, 2010 at the age of 79 years.
On March 2, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri, he married Wanda Williams.
Jim attended Steelville Schools and graduated in 1948. He joined the U.S.
Air Force in 1951 and served his country until he was honorably discharged
in 1955.
After returning to Missouri, Jim worked for United Shipping in St. Louis and
then returned back to Steelville in 1960 where he worked for a local truck-
line. He served as committeeman for the Republican Party and as chairman of
the Republican Central Committee. Jim was an alderman in Steelville for five
years during the 1970’s.
In 1977, he was elected to the Crawford County office of Circuit Clerk and
Ex-Officio Recorder of Deeds and served until January of 1995.
Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Steelville for 50 years and
served as a deacon since 1975.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Margery Brand; one
brother, Harold Eugene Brand; one sister, Fern Christy and husband Bill;
mother-in-law, Goldie Williams; brothers-in-law, Jack Walters, Modell Blair
and Verl Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda of Steelville, Missouri; two sons, Larry
Brand of East Prairie, Missouri and Gary Brand and wife Verna of St. James,
Missouri; two daughters, Shelly Turnbough and husband Rick of Bourbon,
Missouri and LaDonna English and husband Tony of Steelville, Missouri;
12 grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsey and Eric Turnbough, Anna Perona, Candace
Jacobson, Caleb, Jared, Zion, Jacob and Hannah English, Brittany Brand and
Kayla Brand; 10 great grandchildren, Julia, Joy, Kristina, Rachel, Madeline
and Bethany Perona, Kinsley, Sophie and Truxton Jacobson and Taylor
Turnbough; two brothers, Donald Brand and wife Doris of Owensville, Missouri

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Kevin Farr and Rev.
Matt Perona officiating. Special music of “When You Say Nothing At All” and
“I Can Only Imagine” were sung by granddaughter, Brittany Brand.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Pleasant Point Cemetery. Full
military honors were conducted by the U.S. Air Force and St. James VFW.
Casket bearers were Caleb English, Jared English, Zion English, Zion English,
Jacob English, Brandon Turnbough, Eric Turnbough and Gary H. Brand.
Honorary casketbearers were Dan Jacobson and Matt Perona.

Pauline C. Brown
Pauline C. Brown of Ellisville, Missouri was born to James and Maud (Powell)
Cash on October 2, 1919 at Paragould, Arkansas and passed away Saturday,
January 16, 2010 in Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of 90 years.
Pauline was united in marriage to Everett L. Brown on February 28, 1942 in
Old Monroe, Missouri and to this union four children were born.
Pauline was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Wildwood, Missouri.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening. The most
important thing to her was taking care of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cash and Maud Cash; two
brothers, Bill and Robert Cash and other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Everett L. Brown; four children, Barbara
“Jerry” and husband John Held of Potosi, Missouri, Allen Brown of Ellisville,
Missouri, Roger Brown of St. Louis, Missouri and Ken and wife Mary Brown of
St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Jewel “Judy” and husband Warren Rider of
Richmond, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Helen Brown of Cuba, Missouri, Velva
McPherson, Mamie and her husband Phil McCann and Gladys Smart, all of
St. Charles, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 beginning at 10 a.m.
until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wildwood,
Missouri with Pastor Douglas Balzer, officiating.
Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. at Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Oneda Grace Chandler
Oneda Grace Chandler of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, February 1, 1926
at Cuba, Missouri to Lawrence and Florence (nee Carroll) Brewer and passed
away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 83 years,
11 months and 11 days.
Oneda was united in marriage to Thurman Harold Chandler at Steelville in
January of 1942 and to this union six children were born.
Oneda worked at Convy Shoe Supply for many years before becoming the
owner/operator of “The Donut Hole.” She enjoyed cooking, gardening, making
wedding cakes and playing bingo. But what she enjoyed most was babysitting
her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman H. Chandler; parents,
Lawrence and Florence Brewer; daughter, Donna M. Chandler; brother,
Lawrence Brewer; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie and husband Frank Cason of Cuba,
Missouri, Bob and wife Betty Chandler of the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri,
Jim and wife Cathy Chandler, Dennis Chandler and Wanda and husband Geno
Casarroto, all of Cuba, Missouri; brothers, Stanley and wife Mildred Brewer
and Vesper and wife Maxine Brewer, all of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Patsy
Chandler of Cuba, Missouri; sister-in-law, Betty Brewer of Cuba, Missouri;

Julia Mae Dotson
Julia Mae (nee Midyett) Dotson of Steelville, Missouri, was born
October 17, 1920 to Firman Leonard and Virgie Emiline (Mincher) Midyett
in Viburnum, Missouri and passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Gibbs Care
Center in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
On February 14, 1942 in Union, Missouri she was united in marriage to Wilson
Dotson. For several years, she worked at the International Shoe Company in
Salem, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson; two brothers,
Leonard Franklin Midyett and wife Betty and Johnny William Midyett; one sister,
Lula Marie Brakefield and husband Johnny; brothers-in-law, Johnny Brakefield
and Ken Bazzell and sister-in-law, Sue Midyett.
She is survived by her brother, Lawrence Ray Midyett of Davisville, Missouri
and friend, Carol Bays; three sisters, Erma Abney and husband Devon of
Viburnum, Missouri, Beulah Lorene Midyett of Steelville, Missouri and Laura
Esther Bazzell of Cedar Hill, Missouri; sister-in-law, Lavetta Midyett of
Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Winnifred “Winnie” Foust
Winnifred “Winnie” Foust of Cuba, Missouri was born to Charles and Mina N.
(Wilson) Gandy on July 20, 1922 at Linneus, Missouri and passed away Monday,
January 11, 2010 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 87 years.
Winnie was united in marriage to Jewell S. Foust on February 1, 1941 and to
this union nine children were born.
Winnie worked several years for Mid-Way Hotel and Restaurant as a waitress.
She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed walking,
playing the guitar, singing, cooking, baking, traveling, word search books,
the snow and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mina Naomi (Wilson)
Gandy; husband, Jewell S. Foust; infant daughter, Mary Frances Foust; two
brothers, Marion Eugene and Charles J. Gandy; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her eight children, Helen Dunn of Granite City, Illinois,
Eugene and wife Reba Foust of Rolla, Missouri, Anna and husband Frank Hance
of St. James, Missouri, Susan and husband Larry Meatte of Andrews, Texas,
Eunice and husband Sam Bouse, Beverly Miller, Patty and husband Bryan Thorpe
and Larry Foust, all of Cuba, Missouri; two brothers, Francis Gandy of

Ralph Harmon
Ralph Harmon of Berryman, Missouri was born in Butts, Missouri, on Thursday,
May 25, 1933 to Jewell C. and Annie Bell McConell Harmon and passed away
Friday, January 15, 2010 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Ralph served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired carpenter and a multi-talented man. He was a member of
the Local Carpenters Union in St. Louis where he worked for several
companies including Penrod, Inc., Bates Construction and McCarthy.
His talents also, included gardening – flowers to vegetables. He loved his
vehicles. From trucks to volkswagons – with everyone he gave a special name
(“Old Blue, the Gypsy” and tractor “Ferg”). His greatest passion was sharing
his love for Jesus. He was an active volunteer with several nursing homes in
the area. He would sing praises of God’s grace and glory while sharing
scriptures and prayers with the people on a weekly basis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Annie Harmon; sister,
Hallie (Oren) Key; sisters-in-law, Marylou Harmon, Ethel Harmon, Lottie
(Gilbert) Fryman, Carol White and Mary White; brothers-in-law Harold,
Clifford and Virgil White.
He is survived by his wife Annie Bell White Harmon of the home; sons, Carl
(Teresa) Harmon of Crystal City, Missouri; daughters, Connie (Gary) Doss of
Alamogordo, NM, Sherri (Ray) Matchell and Susie (Marty) Evans, all of
Festus, Missouri; stepsons Eugene (Brenda) Landers of Arnold, Missouri,
Bryan (Trisha) Doyle of Clarksville, TN; stepdaughters Pamela (Ronald)

Roselyn Irene “Mickey” Kroenlein
Roselyn Irene “Mickey” Kroenlein of Bourbon, Missouri was born on
July 28, 1920 in Campbell Hill, Illinois to Lewis and Molly Irene
(Boettinger) Benson and passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age
of 89 years.
On September 17, 1937 she married Harry C. Kroenlein. They purchased a
farm in rural Bourbon in 1949.
She was a member of the Sullivan Presbyterian Church, loved to play bingo
and pinochle and loved dogs.
She is survived by one son, Harry J. Kroenlein and wife Terry of Bourbon,
Missouri; two grandchildren, Rebeccah Irene Copeland and husband Ronnie of
Bourbon, Missouri and Harry J. “Budd” Kroenlein Jr., of Bourbon, Missouri;
one sister, Velma Riley of Sullivan; other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Chapel
of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Charles Idleman.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.

Hazel Maxine Mason
Hazel Maxine Mason was born April 19, 1928 at Dillard, Missouri, to Arlie
and Carrie (Turnbough) Cottrell and passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010
at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
She was united in marriage to Lyle Eugene “Gene” Mason by a former school
teacher, Rev. Henry Butts, on October 10, 1947 at Cherryville, Missouri.
She attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri where she
received her teaching certificate. She taught school at what was known as
lower Viburnum. Hazel also taught in other schools in the Dillard area.
After marriage, Hazel worked for the welfare system for Dent and Shannon
Counties for several years while living in Salem. Later she was a
homemaker, gardener and worked full time at the family owned paint store
in Viburnum. She was also involved in the Dillard Homemakers Club.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior, with her very good friend
Mariam Wilhite, sharing in this joyous experience. She has served her Lord
since by always being active in church. Hazel was an Adult Women’s Sunday
school teacher and she read her Bible through, in its entirety, every year
for approximately 25 years. She stated that she always learned something
new each time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; one sister, Bonita Cottrell;
brother-in-law, Vondell Mason; sister-in-law, Thelma Sellers and husband Ed
and special aunt, Lorene Eaton.
She is survived by her two sons, Lyle Mason of Arcadia, Kansas and Paul
Mason and wife Melissa of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Candice Nelson,
Lucas Mason, Eric Mason, Joshua Mason, Phillip Mason, Jonathon Mason and
Sara Mason; great grandchildren, Sidney, Emma and Dean Nelson; brothers,
Darrell Cottrell and wife Sandy of Yorba Linda, California, Glenn Cottrell
and wife Betty of Hixson, Tennessee and Vernon Cottrell and wife Jerrie of
Monroe, Louisiana; other relatives and friends.

Missouri.

Richard V. Nagle
Richard V. Nagle of O’Fallon, Missouri, was born to William Charles and
Anna Augusta Nagle and passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the age
of 88 years.
He was employed as a truck driver before his retirement.
He was well-known around the Steelville area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Nagle; five
brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his children, Donna (Mike) Jankowski and Lola (Ed)
Unterreiner; grandchildren, Angel, Alex, Steven, Tasha and Robert; siblings,
Mary Catherine, Bill Nagle, Denny Nagle and David Nagle; other relatives and
friends.
Services will be held at a later date.

Frederick W. Rueffell III
Frederick W. Rueffel III of Vichy, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri
on February 15, 1914 to Frederick and Margaret (Giesler) Rueffel and passed
away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in Vienna, Missouri at the age of 95 years.
Frederick was united in marriage to Mildred Gorman on March 2, 1935 and to
this union one child was born. Frederick was a member of the First
Pentecostal Church in Vichy, where he taught Sunday School for many years.
He loved to sing and was a Deacon at the Broadway Baptist Church. He was a
farmer but worked as a school bus driver, a janitor at UMR and sold eggs
and cream. He enjoyed being outside on the farm and loved to fish. Frederick
was devoted to his family and lived his life serving the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margaret Rueffel;
wife, Mildred; son-in-law, Darrel Blackwell; two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Janie Blackwell, of Vichy, Missouri; sister,
Betty Lou White, of California; grandchildren, Timothy Curtis Blackwell and
wife Amy; Rachel Faith Dew and husband Chris; great grandchildren, Katie
Marie and Curtis Charles Blackwell, Karsten Brenner and Kayden Quinn Dew;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. in the First
Pentecostal Church in Vichy, Missouri.
Funeral service was Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the First
Pentecostal Church in Vichy, Missouri with Pastor Tim Blackwell officiating.
Interment in the Broadway Baptist Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri.

Olive Katherine Ruetz
Olive Katherine Ruetz of Steelville, Missouri was born May 18, 1915 to
Robert and Thankful (Johnson) Martin in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed
away on Thursday, January 12, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville at
the age of 94 years.
In later years, she was adopted by Dr. George W. Reeves.
On November 16, 1936 in Angora, Indiana, she was united in marriage to
Harold J. Ruetz.
Olive graduated from Steelville High School in 1934.
She was active in the community for many years as her health permitted.
She volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce office, Hoppe Spring Museum,
Golden Echoes and in the school cafeteria.
She was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church since 1928. She held
offices in Martha and Mary Order of Eastern Star #364 including Worthy
Matron and was a member for 75 years. She enjoyed genealogy and even until
recently could tell stories of her life and the history of Steelville.
While living at Gibbs Care, she enjoyed playing bingo, attending musical
programs, church services, parties and outings.
In August of 2005, Olive was crowned Ms. Missouri Nursing Home Queen in
ceremonies held at the Lake. She loved to tell the story of that wonderful
experience which meant so much to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thankful Martin; her
husband, Harold; son, William J. Ruetz and wife Carol; two brothers,
Richard and Robert Martin and brother-in-law, Tom Odatey.
She was joined in death by her sister, Lucy Odatey, who passed away on
Thursday, January 12, 2010 in the state of California.
She is survived by her grandchildren, David Ruetz and wife Julie of Holts
Summit, Missouri and Jennifer Rogers of Jefferson City, Missouri; three
great grandsons, John, Carl and Michael Rogers; one great granddaughter,
Natalie; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, January 16, 2010
at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers
officiating. Memories were shared by a nephew, Bill Reeves. Special music of
“When We All Get to Heaven” was sang and played by Rev. Jerry Beers.
Other music of “My Way” was also played.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Jacqueline Marie Tipton
Jacqueline Marie Tipton of Cherryville, Missouri was born June 11, 1937 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Al and Lillian (Lottman) Rhoades and passed away at
her home on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
On May 16, 1982 in Steelville, Missouri, Jacqueline was united in marriage
to Oren Tipton.
She was of the Catholic faith and baptized in 1937 in the Holy Trinity
Catholic Church of St. Louis.
For several years, she worked at Maritz Travel Company in St. Louis. In
her spare time, she enjoyed watching television and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Lillian Rhoades and one
son, Matthew Eilerman.
She is survived by her husband, Oren of Cherryville, Missouri; two sons,
Mike Eilerman of Steelville, Missouri and Mark Eilerman and wife Jeanie

Visitation was from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday, January 14, 2010
at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Father James
Finder officiating.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in
St. Louis, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Mark Eilerman, Todd Tipton, Don Brinkley, Steve Uzzetta,
Chuck Held, Chris Winchester and Darryl Forrest.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of
Steelville, Missouri.
Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Sr.
Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, October 23, 1932
at Granite City, Illinois and passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at
St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Earl was united in marriage to Betty Louise Forster at Cuba, Missouri on
June 21, 1953 and to this union four children were born.
Earl proudly served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army.
He worked the last 40 years as a “Bonded Livestock Dealer.” He was known
across the country for his ability to buy and sell cattle. He could look at
them and know how much they would weigh and what they would sell for at the
market. In his spare time he enjoyed blue grass music and spending time with
family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Warnhoff; mother, Alehn Warnhoff;
one son, Earl Warnhoff, Jr.; half sister, Diane Jacquin; other relatives and
friends.
He is survived by three children, Debra and husband John Brown, Michael and
wife Cheri Warnhoff and Linda and husband Andrew Shore, all of Cuba,
Missouri; his companion, Nelle Zuroweste; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Harris,
Katie Killeen, Carah Shore, Michelle Warnhoff, Andrew Shore, Michael
Warnhoff, Shelby Schaning, Jacob Warnhoff, Steven Johnson, Joseph Brown,
Justin Ray and Melissa Steele; four great grandchildren, Dayton Harris,
Erykah Harris, Cameron Harris and Adrian Warnhoff; special cousin, Kenneth
Vinson of Brownsville, Minnesota; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with the Rev. Herman Rogers officiating.
Casket bearers were Andrew Shore, Michael Warnhoff, Joseph Brown, John
Brown, Andy Shore and Keith Robertson.
Interment followed at Kinder Cemetery of Cuba, Missouri with full military
honors.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
