James Eugene Adams
James Eugene Adams of Sullivan, Mo. was born on August 1, 1926 at Leasburg,
Mo. to the union of William Henry Adams and Stella Mae (Bell) Adams and
passed away on January 13, 2002 at Sullivan, Mo. at the age of 75 years, 5
months and 12 days.
James was a veteran of World War II and honorably served his country during
her time of need. He was united in marriage to Nel Campbell at Pacific, Mo.
They were happily married until Nel preceded him in death.
James was also preceded in death by his father, three brothers Mallard Don
Adams, Paul Adams and William Henry Adams and two sisters, Mildred Fenner
and Pauline Adams.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his mother Stella
Adams; one son James Eugene Adams, Jr.; six daughters, Brenda Ryther and
husband Rick, Linda McGruder and husband Kenny, Donna Aubuchon and husband
Tommy, Janie Lohmey, Karen Edwards and Cindy Goggins; two sisters Dorothy
Pearl Pemberton and husband Riley, Jr. and Betty Jo Parks and husband
Rolla; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other
relatives and many friends.
James was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, good
friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at 11 a.m. at
the Word of Life Worship Center, Sullivan, Mo. with Terry Palmer
officiating. Memorials may be given to a church of your choice. All
arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
Mayme Edith Huffman
Mayme Edith Huffman nee Kreamalmeyer was born Sunday, February 24, 1924 in
Cherryville, Mo. to the late Earnest Kreamalmeyer and Florence Rawlins
Kreamalmeyer and departed this life on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at the
Beverly Health Care Center in Sullivan, Mo. at the age of 77 years, 10
months and 19 days.
Mayme married Louis Huffman on October 5, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo. and to
this union three children were born. Mayme worked at the Steelville Post
Office for over 30 years as a custodian and made many friends there. She
loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting over a cup of
coffee and a cigarette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister-in-law,
Darlene Kreamalmeyer, four brothers-in-law Floyd Turnbough, Wayne
Fleschute, John Cason, and Ralph Luntzer.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving children, Dorothy
Soper of St. James, Mo.; Edna Adams and husband Jack of Sullivan, Mo.;
Richard and Judy Huffman of Rolla, Mo.
Six sisters, Viola Fleschute of Barnhart, Mo.; Dora Cason of Wichita,
Kansas; Jessie Luntzer of Festus, Mo.; Garnith and Bill Turnbough of
Pevely, Mo., Minnie Lamkin of Festus, Mo., Mary and Bill Parker of
Gallatin, Mo.
Four brothers, William and Yvonne Kreamalmeyer of Portage, Michigan, Albert
and Nellie Kreamalmeyer of Wilmer, Alabama, Orville and Carol Kreamalmeyer
of Indiana, Clarence and Bernice Kreamalmeyer of Imperial, Mo.; five
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends, all who will sadly miss and fondly remember Mayme Edith
Huffman.
Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville,
Mo. Funeral service was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at the
Hutson Funeral Chapel in Steelville, Mo. with Rev. Delmar B. Hutson
officiating. Burial was in the Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, Mo.

Mo.
Bobby Newton Lambert
Bobby Newton Lambert of Salem, Mo. was born Saturday, February 18, 1961 in
Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bobby Gene Lambert and the late Melba Loraine Lewis
Lambert Mead and passed away suddenly Monday, January 14, 2002 as the
result of an automobile accident south of Salem, Mo. at the age of 40
years, 10 months and 27 days.
Bobby married Gayle Roberts on September 14, 1977 and to this union one
daughter Kristina was born. Bobby later married Elisabeth Hutchison on
March 20, 1999 and to this union a son, Kaddo, and a daughter, Hope, was
born.
Bobby lived part of his life in Oklahoma, part in Arkansas, and the
remainder in Missouri. He was very talented in wood working, and an artist
in his many drawings. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed hunting and
fishing. He loved his children and his grandson Micah very much.
Bobby accepted the Lord just two weeks ago and he and Elisabeth and two
children attended the New Harmony Baptist Church in Salem, Mo. Bobby was
preceded in death by his mother, Melba Mead.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving wife Liz of the home
in Salem, Mo.; his father Bobby Gene Lambert and wife Earlene of Sand
Spring, Oklahoma; his three children, Kristina Lambert of Steelville, Mo.;
Kaddo, and Hope Lambert of the home in Salem, Mo.; his grandson Micah
Dodson of Steelville, Mo.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Wayne and
Diane Roberts of Hardy, Arkansas.
Brothers and sisters Melba Skelton, Albert Lambert, Onor Pierce, Ruthanne
Scott, Clarence Sisco, Robert Sisco, Tina Porter, Randy Sisco, Gene
Lambert, Chester Lambert, Johnny Lambert, Annafay Cheek, Bonnie Weins,
Janice Horn, Robert Lambert, and Donald Lambert; aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends, all who will sadly miss and fondly remember
Bobby Newton Lambert.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 17, 2002 at the Hutson Funeral
Home in Steelville, Mo. with Rev. David Gidecumb officiating. Visitation
was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Mo.
Burial was in the Eaton Cemetery, Cherryville, Mo. Arrangements under the
direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Mo.
Clarence A. Missey
Clarence A. Missey of Bourbon, Mo. passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2002
at the age of 87 years.
Mr. Missey was born on March 14, 1914 in Bourbon to Albert and Mary Jane
(Stroup) Missey, and remained a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area. On
September 1, 1934 he was united in marriage to Phelma L. Jones at Bourbon.
Clarence honorably served his country as a Seaman First Class in the U.S.
Navy during World War II. He then worked as a maintenance man for the
Ramsey Corporation for over fifteen years. He especially enjoyed raising
bees and watermelons. He will be cherished and remembered as a man who was
stern and strong.
He is survived by three sons, Albert Missey and wife, Karen, of Potosi,
Mo., Ralph Missey and wife, Erma, and Royce Missey and wife, Ruth, all of
Leasburg, Mo.; one daughter, Clara Bell Mercer of Leasburg; two brothers,
Charles Missey and wife, Alma, of Potosi and Lawrence Missey and wife, Jo
Ann, of Victorville, California; two sisters, Laura Drennen of Potosi and
Viola Kincaid of Bourbon.
Twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, four
great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In
addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Missey was preceded in death by two
children, Clyde and Lillie Jo Missey, one stepson, Dean Jones, two
brothers, Preston and Wilburn Missey, and two sisters, Martha Shear and Mae
Jones.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January
16, 2002 at the Bourbon Cemetery with Reverend Calvin Fowler officiating
and concluding with military honors. All arrangements were under the care
of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Kirk Robert Monroe
Kirk Robert Monroe was born Friday, July 28, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, a
son of the late Lyman Robert Monroe and Shirley Faye (Santhuff) Monroe. He
entered eternal life Thursday, January 10, 2002, at Steelville, Missouri,
at the age of 40 years, six months and 13 days.
Kirk served his country in the United States Navy, enlisting May 23, 1980,
at St. Louis, Missouri. During this time he received the Navy Expeditionary
Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He received his discharge at the
Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Illinois, January 27, 1983.
On September 14, 1991, at the Lutheran Church in St. Clair, Missouri, Kirk
was united in marriage to Tammy Asher.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Tammy (Asher)
Monroe of St. Clair, Missouri; two sons, Jeffery and Saxon Monroe of St.
Clair, Missouri; one sister, Rhonda and husband Steve Weeks of St. Louis,
Missouri; one niece, Melissa Weeks, two nephews, Devin and Adam Weeks also
of St. Louis, Missouri; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stu and Dotty
Brockman of Union, Missouri; grandmother, Mary Lacy of Steelville,
Missouri.
Aunts and uncles, Bob and Lelah Santhuff, Joyce and Ron Bouse and Loretta
Anderson, all of Steelville, Missouri, Bill and Pat Santhuff of Piedmont,
Missouri; Dolores and Don Goad of Cedar Hill, Missouri; and Ronnie Santhuff
of Senton, Texas, Lyle and Shirley Monroe of Jerseyville, Illinois, Geneva
(Sis) Werth of Collinsvile, Illinois, Frank (Butch) and Katie Monroe of
Longwood, Florida; great aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives
and many friends.
Kirk Robert Monroe lay in state 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2002 at the
Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2002 in the Britton Chapel with Rev.
Jerry Beers officiating. Musical selections were provided by Joyce Bouse.
Committal prayers and interment were at Jefferson Barracks National
Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Full military honors were presented by
Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
Serving as pallbearers were: Jim Beisner, Robert Holland, Dale Nevills,
Mike Reising, John Santhuff and Steve Weeks. Arrangements were under the
direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Mae Belle Camp Neron
Mae Belle Camp Neron nee Hill of Cuba, Mo. was born on December 3, 1903 at
Dexter, Mo. to the union of John Hill and Cora (Gladden) Hill and passed
away on January 17, 2002 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 98 years, 1 month and
14 days.
In 1921 Mae was united in marriage to Brown Reed Camp. One son, Kenneth,
and two daughters, Reverdy and Revalee were born to this union. Brown
preceded Mae in death on April 20, 1974.
On April 2, 1980 Mae was united in marriage to Charles Neron. They were
happily married until he preceded her in death on January 14, 1991.
Mae was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Paul and Ray
Hill, and one sister, Lois Groves.
Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her son Kenneth
Camp and wife Veronica; two daughters, Reverdy Martellaro and husband Peter
J. and Revalee Camp; one sister Louise West and husband John; 5
grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; nieces;
nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Mae was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, good friend to
all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
Mae Belle Camp Neron nee Hill was in state at the Britton Funeral Home,
Cuba, Mo. on Sunday, January 20, 2002. Graveside services and interment
were held on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Sadlers Chapel
Cemetery, Dexter, Mo. All arrangements were under the direction of the
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
Margaret Marie Roy
Margaret Marie Roy of Steelville, Mo. passed away at her home in
Steelville, Mo., Sunday, January 13, 2002 at the age of 76 years.
Margaret donated her body to Science. No services were held.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Phillip Leroy Dietemann of Lake St.
Louis, Mo. and Kenneth Dietemann of Steelville, Mo.; five grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren and many friends all who will sadly miss and
fondly remember Margaret Marie Roy.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville,
Mo.
Louis Ezro Spurgeon
Louis Ezro Spurgeon of Belle, Mo. was born on June 28, 1918 to the union of
James Spurgeon and Lula Wright Spurgeon at Oak Hill, Mo. and passed away on
January 18, 2002 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 20 days.
On September 25, 1940 he was united in marriage to Goldie Dotson at
Steelville, Mo. They were happily married until she preceded him in death
on June 29, 1996.
On January 14, 1997 he was united in marriage to Loretta Miller Ellis at
Steelville, Mo. They have enjoyed five years of marriage.
Louis was preceded in death by four brothers, Lowell, Ivan, Omar and Estil,
one sister, Mae (Hallie) and two infants that died in infancy. Louis was a
farmer and enjoyed being outdoors.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife
Loretta Spurgeon; one brother Ralph Spurgeon; three stepsons, Larry Ellis
and wife Sue, Donald Ellis and Ronald Ellis and wife, Betty; one
step-daughter, Anita Schafer and husband Don; sister-in-laws;
brothers-in-laws; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews;
other relatives and many friends.
Louis was a loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather,
great-grandfather, uncle, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly
missed.
Louis Ezro Spurgeon was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
where funeral services were held on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at 1 p.m. with
Rev. Leo Roberson officiating. Interment was in the Countryside Memorial
Gardens Cemetery, Owensville, Mo. All arrangements were under the direction
of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
Emily A. Susnic
Emily A. Susnic of Sullivan passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at the
age of 87 years.
Emily was born September 18, 1914 to the late John and Katherine (Izo)
Kucera at St. Louis, Mo. At the age of seven the Kucera family traveled to
their native Czechoslovakia and remained there for about ten years,
returning to St. Louis once again to make their home. On September 17, 1931
Emily was married to Blasé Joseph Susnic at Saint Lucas Evangelical
Lutheran Church in St. Louis. Blasé and Emily were blessed with six
children. In 1960 the Susnic family moved to the Sullivan area. Ms. Susnic
was employed for many years by the former Schulte's Bakery where her
husband was also employed as head baker. Emily was a quiet person, who
enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them. She was a
member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church for over 40 years.
She is survived by four sons, Blasé Susnic, Jr., of Pacific, Mo., David
Susnic and wife, Judith, of Leasburg, James Susnic and wife, Ramona, John
Susnic and wife, Becky, all of Sullivan, two daughters, Carol Squires and
husband, Joseph, of Ballwin, Mo., Susan Staley and husband, Charles, of
Harvester, Mo.
One brother, John Kucera and wife, LaVerne, of Massilon, Ohio, three
sisters, Katherine Shebik of St. Louis, Mo., Marie Fabry of Concordia, Mo.
and Ruth Zipay of St. Louis, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Susnic was preceded in death by her husband,
Blasé Susnic on November 28, 1997 after 66 years of marriage.
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2002 from Saint
Matthews Lutheran Church in Sullivan with Pastor Jeffrey Duncan
officiating. Interment was in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Madge Williams
Madge Williams of Sullivan, Mo. passed away on Monday, January 7, 2002 at
the age of 86 years.
Mrs. Williams was born in the Champion City area near Leslie, Mo. to the
late Herman and Sarah Frances (Blankenship) Weirich. She attended school
there until the 8th grade. She then came to Sullivan and became a waitress
at the restaurant at the former Northside Hotel. She met her future
husband, Reid Williams, in Sullivan and then on June 22, 1935 was married
to him in Illinois. Madge and Reid made their home in Sullivan where Madge
then became employed at the former Midwest Footwear Company and later
retired from there. She was known as a loving mother and grandmother. She
was a fun loving person who never knew a stranger. She was also an avid St.
Louis Cardinals Baseball fan and a member of First Baptist Church in
Sullivan.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Williams and wife Karen of Cuba, Mo.
and James Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; other relatives and friends. Along
with her parents and husband, a brother, Virgil Weirich preceded her in
death.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2002
from the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Paul Gray
officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery. Those who desire
may make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church in memory of Madge
Williams.
