MO Local Obituaries for the Week of January 28, 2004 Jamie Lynn Dennis Jamie Lynn Dennis of Cuba, Missouri was born on October 26, 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Joann (Reiner) Dennis and Jerry Dow Dennis and passed away suddenly on January 20, 2004 near Cuba, Missouri at the age of 26 years, 2 months and 24 days. Jamie was preceded in death by her two sons, Kyle and Jordan Peiffer. Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her two children, Blake Charles and Brittany Lynn Raybrook; mother Joann Dennis and fiancé, Dennis Mulligan; father Jerry Dow Dennis; grandmother Helen Reiner; sister Jennifer Dennis; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends. Jamie was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, good friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Jamie Lynn Dennis was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri where funeral services were held on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Terry Mahurin officiating. Joseph Patrick Fagan Joseph Patrick Fagan, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2004, beloved husband of Linda M. Fagan (nee Kurz); dear father of Kevin William Fagan and special friend, Lindsy 'Charlie' Trottler; dear son of Ida and the late Charles Fagan; dear brother of Robert (Judy) and John (Bernadette) Fagan and Mary (Dan) Daigle; dear son-in-law of Frank and Norma Kurz; dear brother-in-law of David, Steve (Karen), Frank (Rosemary), John (Cheryl) and Tom (Nora) Kurz; our dear uncle, nephew, cousin, brothers and sisters in Christ and friend to many. Joseph was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years and was manager of Customer Service Operations in St. Louis, Mo. He also loved the outdoors. For 23 years he was co-owner of Fagan's Canoe & Raft Rental in Steelville, Mo. Joseph finished his life with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, was baptized and was devoted to his wife and church family at Crosshaven Community Church in Eureka, Mo. Haukap nee Thomas of Imperial, Missouri was born on Monday, December 23, 1918 in Festus, Missouri to Albert John Thomas and Nellie Isabel McCracken Thomas. She passed away Sunday, Janaury 18, 2004 at the age of 85 years and 26 days. Audrey was married to Wilfred Henry Haukap in the spring of 1944 and to this union two children were born. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, going shopping and eating out. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred; son Michael Haukap; brothers Virgil and wife Rose Thomas, Lori Thomas, Lamoin Thomas and wife Lorraine; sisters Lillian Hensley, Leona and husband John Lazar, Evoda and husband Robert Cleary. Those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter Patricia Haukap of Imperial, Missouri; sisters Algeria and husband Dr. Remy Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, and Vivian McGhiee of Florida; sister-in-law Emily Thomas of Festus, Missouri. Four grandchildren Anita and Brian Smith of St. Louis, Missouri, Tim and Laura Gahn of Camdenton, Missouri, Dana and Joe Cornejo of Cuba, Missouri and Lisa Haukap of St. Louis, Missouri; seven great grand- children; daughter-in-law; cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was Wednesday, January 21, 2004 from 9-11 a.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Mo. Funeral Mass was Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Cuba, Missouri with Father James Finder officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Clarence Joseph "Tex" Russell Clarence Joseph "Tex" Russell was born Sunday, September 7, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Clarence Ralph Russell and Margaret Alice (Smith) Russell. Mr. Russell entered eternal rest Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 10 days. On January 18, 1947, Tex was united in marriage to Mabel Amelia Luchsinger. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years together until her passing on November 23, 2001. Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving daughter Pat Seifried and husband David of Grass Valley, California and his loving son Ben Gellerman and wife Judy of Sullivan, Missouri; dear sister Alice Diggers and husband David of Florida; nephew Kevin Russell of Chesterfield, Missouri. Very special friend Charlene Sullivan of Leasburg, Missouri; several nieces, grandchildren Sherry Peters and husband Pete, Cletis King Jr., Pam Rosemeyer, Valerie Knutson and Dawn Higby; 11 great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Tex was preceded in death by one brother, Don Russell. Tex honorably served his country in the United States Army in World War II. He worked in the aircraft at McDonald Douglas. He was a member of the Lions Club, a 32 degree member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. Tex was recognized by many people for his talent as an Ozark poet and author. Clarence Joseph "Tex" Russell laid in state from 4-8 p.m. January 19, 2004, in the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Committal prayers and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Ben Gellerman, Kevin Russell, Brian Martin, Scott Marton and J.D. McNett. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
