Harry Campbell
Harry Campbell of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday,
January 20, 2009 at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by two children, Lisa Campbell and friend Tim Simonson of
Leasburg, Missouri and Stacy Kellett and husband Terry of Sullivan,
Missouri; sister-in-law, Anita Campbell of Sullivan, Missouri, brother-in-law,
Bob Slone of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Dorena Willig, Justin
Kellett, Alonna Pennock, Nathan Ray, Krystal Kellett, David Ray, and Audreanna
Pennock; four great grandchildren, Kendra Hahn, Steven Starks, Jayden Ray, and
Cash Ray; former wife, Pat Rodgers and husband Jack of Leasburg, Missouri;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 4:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Southside
Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Services were at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Southside Chapel of the
Eaton Funeral Home with interment in Newburg Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home.
Martin L. Engelmeyer
Martin L. Engelmeyer of St. James, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri,
on October 27, 1926, to William and Blanche Edler Engelmeyer and passed away
Wednesday, January 21, 2009, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 82.
He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, where he earned
the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
After returning home he went to work for the telephone company where he stayed
until he retired. Martin was always a communicator and community worker bee.
He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and the VFW Post #5608.
Martin spent many years serving for the Meals on Wheels, Golden Age Center,
Fall Festival, and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
In 1993, Martin and his wife, Frances, were awarded the St. James Chamber of
Commerce Citizen of the Year award.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of the home in St. James, Missouri; children,
Martin Engelmeyer and wife Judy of Moore, Oklahoma, John Engelmeyer and wife
Cathy of Florissant, Missouri, David Engelmeyer and wife Carla of Las Vegas,
Nevada, Linda Taylor and husband Dennis of O’Fallon Missouri, Mary Gallup of
Benton, Missouri, Brenda Hatridge and husband Pacer of Salem, Missouri,
Angela Gibbs of Salem, Missouri Joe Ciaravino of Salem, Missouri and Vincent
Ciaravino of Georgia; brothers, William and Ralph Engelmeyer; sister, Grace
Porter and husband Gene of O’Fallon, Missouri; 18 grandchildren and several
great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A visitation was held Friday night, January 23, 2009 at the James & Gahr
Mortuary, St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the
St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. James, Missouri, with Father David Veit
officiating. Interment in the St. James Cemetery.

Lewis Michael “Bud” Feith
Lewis Michael “Bud” Feith, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri was born on June 25, 1939
in Fort Des Moines, Iowa to Harold Michael and Ruby Ellen (Vanhorn) Feith and
passed on Friday, January 23, 2009 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield,
Missouri at the age of 69.
Lewis was a Navy and Army veteran and a member of the Mt. Vernon American
Legion, was a maintenance employee of the former Country Flame Manufacturing
Company and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Vernon,
Missouri.
On June 18, 1961 he married Viola Jane Sickels in Miami, Oklahoma.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of the home; one daughter, Mary Jane Wallen and
husband, Jim, of Viburnum, Missouri; two sons, Lance Feith and wife, Sandi,
of Stotts City, Missouri and Harold Feith, and wife Kathy of Oronogo,
Missouri; six grandchildren, Autumn, Lindsey, Zachary, Jimmy, Matthew and
Kelsey; three sisters, Mary Feith and Ginger Betts of Des Moines, Iowa, and
Judy Choate and husband, Sonny, of Altoona, Iowa and one brother, Ralph Feith
of Des Moines, Iowa.
Graveside services, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home,
Mt. Vernon, Missouri, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in
the Moore Cemetery, Stotts City, Missouri with full military honors.
Ricky Dean Gibson
Ricky Dean Gibson of Hillsboro, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri to
Bill and Rosemary (Jarvis) Gibson and passed away Friday, January 23, 2009
in Festus, Missouri at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of
55 years.
In 1998, Ricky was united in marriage to Linda Frenzel.
Ricky attended Butler Hill Baptist Church in South County.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to bow hunt, fish, turkey hunt and camping.
He is survived by his wife of Hillsboro, Missouri; his parents of Farmington,
Missouri; three daughters, Lisa Gibson and companion Scott Dietert of
St. Louis, Missouri, Jessica Gibson and Jonna Gibson both of Desoto, Missouri;
one son, Paul Gibson of Desoto, Missouri; two step daughters, Jessica Lamb and
husband Ryan of Hillsboro, Missouri and Jennifer Jung and husband Steve of
St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Charles Gibson and wife Susan of Imperial,
Missouri; one grandson, Daniel Dietert; three step grandchildren, Sckylar
Lamb, Dylan Peters and Koby Harmon; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2009 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Donald Bahr
officiating. Special music of “Go Rest High” and “Amazing Grace” were sung
by Kevin and Kim Abney with Kevin Abney accompanying on guitar.
Casket bearers were Allan Stites, Steve Ogle, Billy Gibson, Kent Lashley,
Jim Gibson, Billy Massing and Paul Matthew Gibson.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Viburnum First Baptist Church
Cemetery in Viburnum, Missouri.

Kimberly Jo Grady
Kimberly Jo Grady of Rolla, Missouri was born Tuesday, September 22, 1959
at Erlanger, Kentucky to the union of James and Patricia (nee Frankum)
Coppage and passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at the age of 49 years,
3 months and 24 days.
Kimberly was united in marriage to Stephen C. Grady and to this union four
children were born.
She was an assistant librarian at the City of Rolla Library for nine years.
In her spare time she enjoyed writing, reading, gardening and music, but what
she enjoyed most was her children and grandchildren and spending time with
them.
She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law, Herschel Grady;
sister-in-law, Mary Welch; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of Rolla, Missouri; two daughters, Erin and
husband Jeff McCormick and Krysta Jo Grady; two sons, Justin and wife Brandy
Grady and Stephen J. Grady, all of Rolla, Missouri; one step-son,
Jason C. Grady of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandchildren, Xander C. and
Rylee N. McCormick; two brothers, Kevin and wife Jonie Coppage and Steven and
wife Amy Coppage; sister, Shelly Sullivan, all of Kentucky; mother-in-law,
Mary Grady of Cuba, Missouri; three brother-in-laws, Jim Grady of Phoenix,

Summers, officiating.

LaDonna Sue Gregory
LaDonna Sue Gregory, nee Rinehart, of Steelville, Missouri was born on
Wednesday, December 29, 1948 to George Rinehart and Myrtle Margaret
Copeland Rinehart. She passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the
University Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri at the age of 60 years
and 18 days.
LaDonna married Arthur Gregory on January 27, 1973 in St. James, Missouri
and to this family two daughters were born.
She had previously worked as a medical technician at Cuba Manor. She was a
former member of Broadway Baptist Church, St. James, Missouri and presently
a member of Straightway Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri. She enjoyed
reading, embroidering, shopping, and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Peggie Weaver.
She is survived by her husband of Steelville, Missouri; daughters, Kendra
Hoffman of Steelville, Missouri and Michelle (Casey) Pippin of Wheatland,
Missouri; her mother of St. James, Missouri; sisters, Linda Watson of
St. James, Missouri and Kathy (Ronnie) Mezeire of Manhattan, Kansas; sisters
and brothers-in-law, David (June) Gregory of Grants Pass, Oregon, Jane (Jim)
Griffith of St. Louis, Missouri, Ruth (Pattie) Moses of Berryman, Missouri
and Doc Weaver of Hawk Pointe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kristin Leeth,
Kenneth Charles Pippin, Jr., Zachary and Hannah Pippin; other relatives and

Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Mike Cooper officiating. Burial at
Straightway Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.

Orin Anderson Key
Orin Anderson Key, born in Steelville, Missouri on September 18, 1924 to
Euel E. and Hallie M. (Anderson) Key, passed away January 21, 2009 at the age
of 84 in Harrison, Arkansas.
Orin was born and raised in Steelville, where he lived over half his life.
It was here where he met and married his life love, Hallie B. Harmon and had
four children.
He served his country as a member of the Army and Air Force during WWII from
1945 until 1948. While living in Steelville he was a faithful member of The
First Assembly of God Church and enjoyed many friendships. In 1972 he moved
his family to Rolla, Missouri where he was a member of The First Assembly of
God Church. He worked for and then retired from the Federal Civil Service
at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri in 1984.
Following retirement Orin spent many hours in his favorite place, his
woodshop. He found his new ministry in crafting ‘Jesus’ signs and gave them
out to many people all over the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Euella Key.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; one son, Jay Key and wife Kathy Key
of Harrison, Arkansas; three daughters, Carolyn (Key) Richards and husband
Ted Richards of Flower Mound, Texas, Rhonda (Key) Burger and husband Darrell
Burger of Belle Chase, Louisiana and Mary Key of Fort Worth, Texas; three
grandsons, Scott Key and wife Tara Key of Justin, Texas, Jeremiah Burger
of Fort Benning, Georgia and Zachariah Burger of Belle Chase, Louisiana;
one granddaughter, Abrianna Burger of Belle Chase, Louisiana, and three
great grandsons, Noah, Jonah and Micah Key of Justin, Texas; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Britton-Bennett
Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Chuck Whitmire
and Pastor Ray Cook officiating. Special music of “We’ll Understand It Better
By and By,” “When We See Christ” and “It is Well” was sang by Rev. Jerry Beers
with Sharon Hardecke on piano. A grandson, Scott Key gave the eulogy and a
read a poem “For Those I Love, For Those Who Love Me.”
Casket bearers were Scott Key, Zak Burger, T.D. Burger, Eugene Harmon, Timmy
Harmon and Darrell Burger.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Lewis “Joe” Jolee Schonfield
Lewis “Joe” Jolee Schonfield of Steelville, Missouri, was born
August 21, 1958 to Doy Lee “Bus” and Barbara Ann “Bobbi” (Bell) Schonfield
in Napa, California and passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Johns
Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 50 years.
On May 21, 1977, he was united in marriage to Donna Hubert in Cuba,
Missouri.
Joe was a previous minister at Community Church in Cherryville, Missouri
and presently was attending Trinity Chapel in Leasburg, Missouri. He was a
very dedicated worker of the church and enjoyed the bus ministry.
He was skilled in many areas as a laborer, welder, concrete layer and a
builder.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gigging, reading his Bible and loved
being with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one infant sister, Edna Jean
Schonfield.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years; one son, Christopher Lewis
Schonfield and wife Melissa Jean of Steelville, Missouri; one daughter,
Melissa Anne Williams and husband Ronald Bryan of Steelville, Missouri;
mother, Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Schonfield of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters,
Deborah Hewkin and husband Mitch and Suda Smith and husband Rick all of
Steelville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Zachary Bryan Lewis Williams,
Cody John Williams and Joseph Lewis Schonfield; mother in-law and
father-in-law, Johnny and Rosetta Hubert of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law,
Randy Hubert and wife Stevfaney and Edward Hubert and wife Mariann, all of
Rolla, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Debbie Harris and husband Steve of Cuba,
Missouri, Sandy Huett and husband Steve of O’Fallon, Missouri, Vicky Thomas
and husband Bud of Columbia, Missouri and Jenny Brown and companion, Eric
Ray of Bixby, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Richard
Martin and Rev. Gene Whittaker officiating. Special music of “Happy Birthday
to Me”, “Consider the Lilies” and “What A Day” were sung and played by Sandy
Martin, Monica Payne and Rick Smith on base guitar. A poem written by Suda
Smith called “My Dear Twin” was read by Sandy Martin.
Casket bearers were Travis Foster, Jeff Williams, Brian Williams, Steve
Harris, Josh Harris, Bud Thomas, Steve Huett and Sonny Eaton.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Eaton-Hanson Cemetery at Cherryville,
Missouri.

Alberta “Bert” Jean Shoemake
Alberta “Bert” Jean Shoemake of Steelville, Missouri was born
November 29, 1929 to Albert and Leona (Schildknecht) Glore in St. Louis,
Missouri and passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at Phelps County Regional
Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 97 years.
On August 23, 1947 in Winfield, Missouri, she was united in marriage to
Cleveland Shoemake who preceded her in death on March 9, 2007.
Alberta attended the North side Full Pentecostal Church in Steelville,
Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Tommy
Shoemake; three daughters, Ruth Ann, Stella Louise and Mary Jane Shoemake;
two brothers, Albert (Junior) Glore II and Thomas Glore and one grandson,
Joseph Shoemake.
She is survived by five sons, Lee Shoemake and wife Lillian of Cuba,
Missouri, Jacob Shoemake and wife Loretta, Monroe Shoemake and wife Carol
and Eddie Shoemake, all of Steelville, Missouri and Bobby Shoemake of
Victorville, California; four daughters, LaDonna Fulliam and Sue Barton and
husband Grover all of Steelville, Missouri, Sherry Blaser and husband Denny
of Potosi, Missouri and Judy Neeley and husband Charlie of Park Hill, Missouri;
one sister, Shirley Lavy and husband Bob of Peoria, Illinois; three
brothers-in-law, Richard, Jimmy and Virgil Shoemake; seven sisters-in-law,

Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Bob Lavy
officiating. Special music of “In the Garden,” “Mama” and “I’ll Fly Away”
were played.
Casket bearers were Monroe Shoemake, Eddie Shoemake, Jacob Shoemake, Butch
Shoemake, Robert Shoemake Jr. and Albert Glore.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery in Steelville,
Missouri.

Rosie Loretta Spurgeon
Rosie Loretta Spurgeon of Owensville, Missouri was born in Owensville on
January 18, 1924 to Burt and Ethel (Dotson) Miller. She passed away Wednesday,
January 21, 2009 at the Gasconade Terrace in Owensville, Owensville, Missouri
at the age of 85 years.
On January 18, 1941 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dail Ellis.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Belle, Past Matron of Order
of Eastern Star in 1966 in Pacific Chapter #129 joining in 1959, mother
advisor for Rainbow Girls for four years, earned the Grand Cross of Color
and was President for the Order of Demolay.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Donald Ellis, Keith
Ellis and David Ellis in infancy; a great granddaughter, Christine Ellis;
brother, Allen Miller; sisters, Alice Ferling and Gladys Nieman and two
sisters in infancy.
She is survived by her children, Larry Ellis and wife Sue of Belle, Missouri,
Ronald Ellis and wife Betty of Wright City, Missouri and Anita Schafer and
husband Don of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; three sisters, Joy Rogers and husband
Chester of Cuba, Missouri, Faith Moore and husband Joe of Clifton, Texas and
Iva Westholtz and husband Walter of Cuba, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and
20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the
Gottenstreoter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri with Pastor Larry
Hendrickson officiating.
Burial in the Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville, Missouri.

David Lawrence Voss
David Lawrence Voss of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, November 10, 1947
at Jefferson City, Missouri to the union of Elmer and Rita (nee Koenig) Voss
and passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of
61 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Dave proudly served in the United States Army from August 17, 1967 until
August 4, 1969. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star,
VSM, RVNCM, ARCOM, and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Medal.
He was united in marriage to Katherine A. Bartel at the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church of Owensville, Missouri on September 26, 1970 and to this
union two children were born.
Dave owned and operated Voss Truck Port in Cuba, Missouri since November of
1971. February of 2005 he purchased the Cuba Lakes Country Club. He was a
member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8920 and the Cuba VFW Post 7147.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, the Dot game and the Wolf game,
but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; infant sister, Ruth Ann Voss; other
relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife of Cuba, Missouri; his mother of Owensville,
Missouri; son, Brad and Renee Voss of Cuba, Missouri; daughter, Wendy and
husband Ed Randell of Cuba, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Tyler,
Ethan, Katherine, Tome, Nate and Eva; one sister, Gloria and husband William
Jackson of Herst, Texas; two brothers, Joseph and wife Rhoda Voss of
Owensville, Missouri and Clements and wife Stefanie Voss of Pacific, Missouri;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic
Church of Cuba, Missouri with Father James Finder as celebrant.
Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military
honors.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
