He was united in marriage to Wanda Maxine Nelson. Clarence did road construction as foreman of Porter Dwit Road Construction. He was a member of the Operators Union and was the longest living member. Clarence loved to do gardening, yard work, reading the Bible, and was an avid Cardinals fan. He was a member of the Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Jeanné Broccard; his wife, Wanda Maxine; one son, Ronald Edward Broccard; daughter-in-law, Gloria Broccard; six brothers, Charlie, Emile, Ceaser, Albert, Gus and Maurice and five sisters, Hazel Broccard, Marceline Beckmeier, Mary Branson, Jennie Boyer and Amelia Robinson. Clyde was a retired truck driver for Bemac Transport Company. He was a long time member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, playing cards and baking. Lemons of Rolla, Missouri formerly of Cuba, was born Tuesday, September 13, 1938 at St. Louis, Missouri to George E. and Effie May (nee Hicks) DeBeaux and passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 20 days. Sallye retired after 17 years of dedicated service in 2001 from the Viburnum office of the Disabled Citizens Alliance. She was the family historian and tracked her family back to the 1200’s. She was an avid reader, collected elephants, Elvis Presley fan, excellent cook. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing and camping with her children. Helen married Harold G. Murray on May 6, 1937 in Eminence, Missouri and to this union four sons were born. She and Harold moved around when they first were married and lived in Gladden, Missouri; later Hermann, Missouri before settling in Steelville, Missouri in 1965. She and Harold owned and operated the Murray Shell station at Hwy 8 and TT before retiring. Helen enjoyed gardening, tending her plants, yardwork, sewing, old cars, (especially her Chevelle) and auctions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cutch and Mildred Duckworth; husband, Harold G. Murray; son, Harold “Eddie” Murray; one brother, Lloyd Duckworth; one sister, Evelyn (Carl) Compton; and brother-in-law, Berna Murray. Josephine Pingleton Josephine Pearl Pingleton was born August 15, 1924 to Gilbert and Bessie Johnson Parrott and passed away February 2, 1010 at her home in Hollister, Missouri at the age of 85 years. She was united in marriage to Grover Pingleton on September 7, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri. Jo was an inspiration to Reverend Grover as she worked along side of him throughout his ministry. She was faithful to her church, attending Sunday School for 48 years without missing a service. She was a member of the Clifton Free Will Baptist Church for many years and presently attended New Life Temple in Hollister, Missouri. She enjoyed her doll collection, shopping, her vegetable garden and growing beautiful flowers. Anton P. “Tony” Skouby Anton P. “Tony” Skouby of Vichy, Missouri was born November 13, 1025 in Granite City, Illinois to Charles and Margaret (Cassel) Skouby and passed away February 3, 2010 in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 84. Before he graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Illinois, Anton volunteered for service during WWII. Anton was a tail gunner on a B-24. He was stationed in England and made flights into Germany. After the war Anton came home to Missouri and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a few hours short of graduating when he began teaching VA students in Rolla. Anton loved farming and bought a farm in High Gate. He went to work for the ASC office in Vienna, where he was involved in making farming more profitable for the farmers of Maries County. Anton was involved in politics, serving on the school board, fair board and by sponsoring 4-H and FFA. After a short stint driving a truck for North American Van Lines, Anton started working at the Vocational School in Rolla and then entered the University of Missouri to finish his degree and to complete his Masters and Doctorate Degrees. When he graduated he went to Topeka, Kansas, where he worked for a CPA firm. Under contract with the Kansas Energy Office, he did extensive research on ethanol and used the entire process on demonstration farms. Anton returned to High Gate and quickly became a target for boards that knew he had a lot of knowledge and could think “outside the box.’ He was recruited for the PIC board, MRPC board, Farm Bureau Commission, while still being involved in county and state, and federal politics. One of Anton’s proudest moments came when he was selected to attend the Republican National Convention in San Diego. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Skouby; son, Eric Skouby; two brothers and one sister. Clint was a 1980 Sullivan High School graduate, a life-long resident of Sullivan, Missouri and heavy equipment operator for King Contracting. He was known as the “Gentle Giant” and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed motorcycles. He was also a collector of Jack Daniels memorabilia.
