In 1952 she married Charles Eugene Davis. Joyce was a member of the Riverbend Baptist Church in Bristol, Tennessee. She always loved to sew, crochet and could grow most anything in her beautiful garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Laura Campbell; her husband, Gene Davis; three brothers, Harold Campbell, Lawsey Campbell and Ernest Campbell; and one sister, Polly McReynolds. Lawrence Dale Dwyer Lawrence Dale Dwyer of St. James, Missouri was born on September 25, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to Glennon and Bertha Dwyer and passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Lawrence was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Koch Dwyer on June 16, 1962. Lawrence proudly served his County in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1961. He than started his career in Law Enforcement, serving as a Police Officer in St. Louis, Missouri. After he retired Lawrence and Barbara moved to St. James, Missouri where they bought a farm outside of town. They would spend many good years at the farm, planning and planting a garden, when the harvest came they would can and freeze what they could for the winter months ahead. Lawrence was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for many years. He enjoyed fishing, and practicing his shooting abilities. Lawrence was an avid stamp collector, he also enjoyed a good book, always preferring a religious book over anything else. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glennon and Bertha Dwyer; wife, Barbara in 2017; daughter, Careen Dwyer; sister, Jacquelyn; and brother, James Dwyer. Virginia Joan Jones Virginia Joan Jones (nee Slape) of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri,was born on Friday, July 26, 1935 in Illinois to William Shelley and Randa Harriett (Hobbs) Slape and passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 11 days. Virginia moved from Illinois as a young girl and grew up in Steelville, Missouri. She went to Center Point School until eighth grade. She worked at Main Hotel on Main St. in Steelville, Missouri. She married William "Bill" Jones on September 10, 1953 in Steelville, Missouri by Rev. Sam Roper. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked as a waitress at Schnucks Supermarket. Years later they returned to Steelville, Missouri where she worked for Brown Shoe for 16 years until it closed. Virginia was raised Catholic and received the Saint name Patricia. Later in life, she attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Virginia was very crafty. She and Bill used to make candles together. She made wedding flowers, would cross-stitch and do embroidery. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a good cook. Donna Louise Lehnhoff Donna Louise Lehnhoff was born December 12, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to Thomas Lester Hoecker and Louise Bertha Tschannen and passed away February 1, 2018 at the age of 78 years. As a child, Donna loved her family, dolls, gardening and school. As she grew she studied piano and dance briefly, and participated in several school plays and musicals. In her junior year she and her future husband Terry were in the school musical, "Beauty and the Beef." She graduated fourth in her class from Pattonville High School in 1957. In 1960, she graduated with her three year RN degree from Deaconess School of Nursing, and had excellent national board scores. Donna decided to follow Jesus Christ at the age of 11. She married Terry Franklin Lehnhoff on August 27, 1960, in Bridgeton, Missouri. She worked in obstetrical nursing until Mark was born in 1962. She returned to nursing in 1977, in pediatrics at Phelps County Memorial Hospital. She also worked in school nursing and in home assessment of special needs care for three counties. She retired in 1996. Donna loved bird watching, all things nature, and was always taking or teaching classes: piano lessons, quilting classes, painting lessons, Bible studies, several of the Great Courses. She loved cooking, reading, antiquing, shopping, gardening, traveling with family and watching movies. She enjoyed traveling the world with Terry (Korea, India, Europe, Alaska, Hawaii). She had difficulty choosing just one hobby, because she excelled at so many. She planted large vegetable gardens and flowerbeds and her family and friends helped her weed and harvest them. She had fluent command of all five love languages. Donna was an evangelist, sharing Jesus with foster children she and Terry welcomed into their home. She taught English as a second language to Chinese students and their parents, spouses and children, transporting them to and from the study, and providing each one with baby showers as the need arose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Louise Hoecker; brother, Thomas Lester Hoecker Jr.; sister, Debbe Lynn Morris; and her son, Terrel Franklin Lehnhoff. Roberta Corwin "Bobbie" Mace Roberta Corwin "Bobbie" Mace of Rolla, Missouri was born in Dillon, Missouri on June 23, 1929 to Charles David and Thelma Lucille (Ellis) Ray and passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 88 years. On February 4, 1948 in Anutt, Missouri she married Wayne Mace. Bobbie retired from the Rolla Public School System where she worked as a supervisor over the cafeteria at Truman Elementary. She was a member of the Rolla Church of Christ. She was an accomplished cook, her rolls, biscuits and pies were requested often. She was also an accomplished quilter and member of the Norman Valley Busy Bee Quilting Club. She served as superintendent of Adams Sunday School for 43 years. Bobbie was also active in the Democratic Party. She served as an election judge for the North and South Meramec District in Phelps County for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Ray; husband, Wayne on November 17, 1986; brother, Charles E. Ray; and her sister, Shirley R. Ray. James Edward "Jim" Palmer James Edward "Jim" Palmer of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, November 14, 1943 at St. Louis, Missouri to Harry and Marjorie (nee Miller) Palmer and passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War, from 11 September 1961 to 14 October 1964. After returning home from the Navy, Jim went to work for his dad in the refrigeration business. In 1966 Jim met Barbara Hughes. They were married on June 1, 1968 in Steelville, Missouri. In 1972 Jim and Barbara moved from Springfield, Missouri back to Cuba, Missouri and Jim purchased the Cuba Refrigeration business from his dad. Jim owned and operated the Cuba Refrigeration from 1973 till 2004, when he sold the business to his son Chris. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and deer season. Jim's birthday was always celebrated at deer camp. If he was feeding the fish, grilling or listening to the radio his trusty side kick Storm was always right beside him. Jim never met a stranger and he could talk to any one. He listened to the Oldie Station every Saturday morning and he listened to every Cardinals Baseball game. Jim was a member of the Legion Post 522, Masonic Lodge 312, VFW, DAV, Eastern Star 398, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine and the Ozark Shrine Club and Trinity Chapel of Cuba, Missouri. Beverly was united in marriage in April of 1971 to Radis Setzer. Beverly attended the Viburnum Christian Church. She was filled with much love to share and did so by caring for over 130 foster children along with her husband. Beverly enjoyed being outside and doing yard work. She spent many hours cooking big meals for her family and canning many quarts of green beans.
