MO Local Obituaries for the Week of February 15, 2017 Florence "Flo" Duckworth Florence "Flo" Duckworth of Rolla, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the age of 60 years. Flo moved to St. James, Missouri in 1989 coming from Lebanon, Missouri. After moving to St. James, Flo was employed by California Manufacturing until it closed. After the factory closed she attended Metro Business College; she received her degree in Small Business Management in 1995. She worked in several of the local factories before becoming a caregiver for seniors and the disabled. Flo was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #5608, and one time member of the Honor Guard. She loved her family, her pets, sewing, gardening and helping people. Flo loved to throw a party and her bonfires were a much anticipated summer event. She was preceded in death by her mother, Adele; her father, Wayne; step-father, Willie; sister, Ellen; and brothers, Jay R and James Dee and fiancˇ, Robert. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; daughters, Angela Knab of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Natosha Marcum of Lebanon, Missouri and Christina (Danny) Ellzey of Nevada, Missouri; sisters, Joan Glenn of St. James, Missouri and Sharon (Robert) Steward of Lebanon, Missouri; brother, Bill Grable of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren, Jami (Steven), Wilson, Bradly, Blake, Danielle, and Jayden; great-grandchildren, Dean and Sarah; aunts, Phyllis White of St. James, Missouri and Deena Cole of San Diego, California; other relatives and friends. Mary Elizabeth O'Neail Ivie Mary Elizabeth O'Neail Ivie (nee Reeves) of Cuba, Missouri was born July 18, 1941 in Illinois to Lushes and Truly Davis Reeves and passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 23 days. In 1959 she married Robert Dewaine O'Neail who preceded her in death in 1986 and later married J.R. Ivie who also preceded her in death in 1994. Mary was a faithful and dedicated woman of God as well as to her church at Center Ridge. She always instilled in her children, the love for Jesus and the love for all and proved it in her own Christian life. Mary enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious fried chicken, tea and banana pudding. She enjoyed sewing for her family, planting flowers and having plants in her home. and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lushes and Truly Reeves; two husbands, Robert O'Neail and J.R. Ivie; one son, Bobby O'Neail; and granddaughter, Katrina. Special music of "Thank God for my Christian Home" was sung by her children with accompaniment by Shirley Brown on piano and "I Sure Miss You" was sung and played by Kevin Brown. Other music of "Just Wait til you see my Brand New Home" and "I Want to Stroll over Heaven with you" was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman. Committal prayer and interment were in the Cavaness Cemetery at Licking, Missouri. Mildred Parrett Mildred Parrett (nee Farrar) of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, October 8, 1923 in Keysville, Missouri to William Clark and Lola Ester Oxendine Farrar and passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 29 days. Mildred married Delmar T. Parrett on January 30, 1943 in Cherryville, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri and had attended the Salvation Army Church, St. Louis, Missouri years ago, where she was actively involved in the Home League group. She had enjoyed embroidering, cooking, making crafts, sewing and even making her children's clothing. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lola Farrar; husband, Delmar; parents-in-law, Herman and Golden Parrett; brother, Jim Farrar; sister, Mable Farrar; brothers-in-law, Warren (Argie) Parrett, Sid Parrett, Earl Halbert, Charlie Weaver and Jerry Walls; and sister-in-law, Helen (Norman) Webb. Calvin Paul Snodgrass Calvin Paul Snodgrass of rural Phelps County was born in Maries County, Missouri on March 8, 1945 to E.H. "Tickey" and Naomi (Feeler) Snodgrass and passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Calvin was a successful cattleman who enjoyed working on his farm in rural southeast Phelps County, Missouri. Among his many interests that he enjoyed were horseback riding, riding motorcycles, driving his corvette and dressing sharply in his western fashion. He was a member of the Salem Ave. Baptist Church in Rolla, Missouri where he served as head usher for 13 years. He was an avid supporter of the Days of Hope Ministry and the Machesah Children's Ranch. He was preceded in death by his father, Tickey Snodgrass; and his son, Tony Snodgrass. Stephens of Cuba, Missouri was born to Charles B. and Alice (Jacobsen) Stephens on October 26, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Charles married Edith Warren on June 5, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union seven children were born. Charles honorably served his country in United States Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of St. James VFW Post #5608. He worked as a Bill Poster in St. Louis, Missouri for many years, prior to his retirement and served as the President of the Bill Poster Union, AFL - CIO. He enjoyed fishing, vacations and going on car rides with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Stephens; wife, Edith Stephens; two brothers, Kenneth and Melvin Stephens; and one sister, Shirley Stephens. He was united in marriage to Teresa Parson on August 2, 2003 in St. James, Missouri. He worked in the construction business until his health failed. Deborah Jean Tucker Deborah Jean Tucker was born on July 14, 1952 and passed away on February 1, 2017 at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 15 days. She spent many years living in Bourbon, Missouri. Robert Lee "Bob" Veach Robert Lee "Bob" Veach of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday, September 26, 1936 at Cook Station, Missouri to John and Minnie (nee Williams) Veach and passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Bob married Daisy "Katherine" Doyle on June 21, 1958 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Bob left from Convey Heel of Cuba, Missouri in 1979, after 20 years of dedicated service, to go to work for Bob Wilson doing construction. Bob retired from doing construction in early 2000. Bob was a devout member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri and he spent many hours working at the church taking care of the flowers and the yard work. Bob enjoyed playing the guitar, working in his garden at home and taking care of his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Veach; and brothers-in-law, David Miller and Robert Doyle.
