Charles Alfred Bouchie
Services for Charles Alfred Bouchie, formerly of Cuba, Mo., were held at 10
a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2003 in the St. Patrick Catholic Church,
Montgomery, Louisiana, with the Rev. James Foster and Rev. John Cunningham
officiating.
Altar Servers were Gary Racine and James Cedus, along with great-grandsons,
Ben and Charles Bouchie. Interment was in Alexandria Memorial Gardens,
Alexandria under the direction of Kramer of Colfax.
Charles Alfred Bouchie, 95, of Montgomery, died Monday, February 3, 2003 in
his residence.
His wife, Lena Bouchie, preceded him in death on March 19, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Bouchie of Montgomery and Eugene
Bouchie of Orlando, Florida; three daughters, Veronica Hagene of Cuba, Mo.,
Carleen Ogle of Desoto, Mo., and Donna Brown of South County, Mo.; one
sister, Mary Schmitt of Kansas City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Michael, David, James, and Thomas Bouchie,
Louis Hagene, Christopher and Richard Brown.
Visitation was held from 4 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. until
9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kramer of Colfax.
A Christian Wake service was held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Raymond Paul Calbreath
Raymond Paul Calbreath was born on Sunday, September 11, 1927 to Charles O.
Calbreath and Curtis Hill Douglas Calbreath in Maplewood, Mo. He died on
Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at his home in Cuba, Mo. at the age of 75
years, 5 months and 1 day.
Raymond served his country honorably in the United States Army from April
1946 through October 1947. Following his military service he worked as a
diesel mechanic for the Pacific Intermountain Express trucking company and
was a member of the Machinist Union.
Raymond was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of St.
James, Mo., having a strong faith and love for God. He spent many hours
studying the Bible, especially the book of Ezekiel. He wanted to get his
message out to the world about his Ezekiel Wheel. The wheel, inspired by
his studies, is a design for a power source not dependent on fossil fuels.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Louis Oliver
Calbreath and Cecil Edward Calbreath; and sister Beulah Calbreath.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his soulmate and companion Norma
Bell of Cuba, Mo.; his children Mary Helen Meyers (Grant) of Foley, Mo.,
Carol Ann Borders of Drain, Oregon, Dennis Ray Calbreath of St. Genevieve,
Mo., Paul Joseph Calbreath (Cheri) of Warrenton, Mo., Donna Marie Gittus
(Doug) of Bridgeton, Mo., David Michael Calbreath (Sheri) of St. Charles,
Mo., Patty Ann Morehouse (Doug) of St. James, Mo., Debbie Kay Gebhardt of
Irving, Texas, and Liza Jane Ruggles (Tom) of LaGrange, Georgia; sisters
Izola Shaw of Kingsman, Arizona, and Elva Boling of Butler, Mo.; 23
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives, and many friends.
Visitation was held Friday, February 14, 2003 from 5-8 and Prayer Services
at 6 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Mo.
Funeral Mass was Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross
Catholic Church with Fr. James Finder officiating. Interment at Holy Cross
Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. with pallbearers Tom Ruggles, Grant Meyer, Paul
Calbreath, Dennis Calbreath, David Calbreath, and Doug Gittus.
Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Cuba, Mo.
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Mo.
Elsie Annis Carr
Elsie Annis Carr was born Friday, March 25, 1904, at Cook Station, Mo., and
a daughter of the late James Lorenzo Grayson and Amanda Jane (Martin)
Grayson. She entered eternal rest Friday, February 7, 2003, at the Gibbs
Care Center, Steelville, Mo., at the age of 98 years, 10 months and 12
days.
In 1922 Elsie was united in marriage to Walter I. Carr, together they
raised five sons and four daughters. Walter preceded her in death as did
her parents; three sons, William Glenn Carr and wife Wanda, Kermit Carr and
wife Eleanor and Calvin W. "Chuck" Carr; two daughters, Virginia Ruth
(Carr) and husband Ted Norris and Leota Eunice (Carr) Land; three brothers
and three sisters, Eulah and husband Eugene Martin, Opal and husband
Clayton Housewright, William Grayson and wife Bea, Ethel and husband Arthur
Ball, Jewell Grayson and wife Virginia, Clarence Grayson and wife Jesse,
and sister-in-law Florence Grayson.
Elsie was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Steelville. She was
the Women's Sunday school teacher for many years.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons, Edward K. Carr
and wife Carol, James R. Carr and wife Elizabeth of Steelville, Mo.; two
daughters, Myrna Jane and husband Ralph Luke of Anderson, Indiana and Joyce
Ann and husband Larry Garms, and a son-in-law, Bob Land all of Steelville,
Mo.; one brother Norman Grayson of St. Louis, Mo.; a number of
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Elsie Annis (Grayson) Carr lay in state 5-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2003,
at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were
held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2003, in the Britton Chapel with Dr.
Cardis Bryan officiating. Wanda Ransom provided musical selections.
Committal prayers and interment were in Carr Cemetery, Cook Station, Mo.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons Jon Carr, Jeffrey Land, Keith Luke,
Bruce Luke, Mike Norris, and Larry Garms.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home,
Steelville, Mo.
A. H. "Lonnie" Sellers
Alonzo Herbert "Lonnie" Sellers was born December 25, 1928, at St. Louis,
Mo., a son of the late Alonzo "Lon" Sellers and Overa Chalotte (Brown)
Sellers. He departed this life Wednesday, February 12, 2003, in Viburnum,
Mo., at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 17 days.
His parents; one brother, Everett Campbell, one daughter, Donna Sellers and
mother-in-law, Velma Friedrich, preceded him in death.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing his devoted wife Marilyn Sue
Sellers (nee Friedrich) of the home in Viburnum, Mo.; daughters, Brenda and
Carla Sellers, Tina Hunt and fiancee Randy Parks, also of Viburnum, Mo. and
Linda and husband Jackie Price of Arkansas; father-in-law, Roy Friedrich of
Viburnum, Mo.; special friend and care giver, Pat Barton of Viburnum, Mo.
Three grandchildren, Missy and husband Nick Sutherland of St. Mary's,
Georgia, Lynn Young of Poplar Bluff, Mo., B.J. Northington (in military)
and wife Melissa; three great grandchildren, Bryce Sutherland, Stephen and
Peyton Northington; brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and
many friends.
Lonnie served his country in the United States Navy, joining in St. Louis,
Mo., April 1, 1946 and received an honorable discharge January 13, 1948 at
Alameda, California. He was entitled to wear the Victory Ribbon of World
War II.
He served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Iron County Sheriff's Department and
Chief of Police for the City of Viburnum for many years.
A. H. "Lonnie" Sellers lay in state 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2003, at
the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2003, in the
Britton Chapel with Rev. Cletis Nichols and Rev. George Civey officiating.
Finis Barr provided music selections.
Committal prayers and interment were in Sellers Cemetery, Dillard, Mo.
Serving as pallbearers were Randy Parks, Nick Sutherland, Ronnie Mason,
Kevin Turnbough, Alan Sellers, Bob Gapsch and Kevin Abney. Military honors
were graveside, with presentation of the flag, by U. S. Navy Seaman 2nd
Class, Nick Sutherland.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville,
Mo.
Frankie "Ralph" Thompson
Frankie "Ralph" Thompson was born Saturday, December 5, 1914 in Goodwater,
Mo. to the late Robert Frank Thompson and Louisa Crocker Thompson and
departed this life at the Stonecrest Healthcare Nursing Home in Viburnum,
Mo., Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 25
days. Ralph married Edith Mincher on August 6, 1938 in Goodwater, Mo. and
to this union three children were born.
Ralph worked as a tree trimmer for Shade Tree Services for many years; he
also worked in St. Louis at the Independent Swiss Meatpacking Company.
Ralph began a large horse and mule operation in 1959 in Belgrade, Mo. and
sold and traded throughout the are until retirement.
Ralph accepted the Lord at an early age and rededicated his life to the
Lord in 1989 and attended the Potosi Church of Christ as long as his health
permitted.
Ralph was a member of the Ozark Trail Blazers, and the Washington County
Coon Hunters Association; he enjoyed raising horses, hunting, and spending
time with his family.
Ralph was preceded in death by five brothers, Lloyd, Roy, Cecil, Paul, and
infant George Ray; one sister Glorena Mayberry, two grandsons David and
Raja Thompson, and one great granddaughter Mallory Lee Webster.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving wife Edith Thompson of
Viburnum, Mo.; his children Freda Parrett and husband Paul of Nashville,
Tennessee; Jim Thompson and wife Fern of Davisville, Mo.; and Allen
Thompson and wife Linda of Fenton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great
grandchildren.
One brother, Leonard Thompson, of Salem, Mo.; and one sister, Mae Kline, of
Belle, Mo.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends all
who will fondly remember and sadly miss Frankie "Ralph" Thompson.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2003 at the
Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Mo.
Funeral service was held Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the Hutson Funeral
Chapel in Steelville, Mo. with Pastor George Civey officiating. Pallbearers
were Dan Thompson, Tom Smith, Charlie Kline, Scott Parrett, Eric Thompson,
and Sheldon Webster. Honorary Pallbearer was Jim Thompson, Jr. Burial was
in the Viburnum Cemetery in Viburnum, Mo.
All arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in
Steelville, Mo.
Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Jr.
Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Jr., of Cuba, Mo. was born on February 11, 1957 at
Bourbon, Mo. to the union of Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Sr. and Betty Louise
(Forester) Warnhoff and passed away on February 7, 2003 at the Phelps
County Regional Medical Center of Rolla, Mo. at the age of 45 years, 11
months and 26 days.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother Betty Warnhoff.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving father
Earl W. Warnhoff, Sr.; one brother Michael Warnhoff and wife Cheri; two
sisters Debra Brown and husband John and Linda Shore and husband Andrew;
Shelby who he raised as a daughter; nieces; nephews; cousins; other
relatives and many friends.
Earl was a loving son, brother, uncle, good friend to all who knew him and
will be sadly missed.
Earl Wayne Warnhoff, Jr. was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Mo. where funeral services were held on Monday, February 10, 2003 at 11
a.m. with Rev. Herman Rogers officiating.
Pallbearers were Dan Buckner, Bob Allen, John Hensley, John Hendrix, Randy
Deadrick and Terry Grigsby. Interment was in the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of
Cuba, Mo.
