Addison was born on November 1, 1921 to Felix and Nellie (Favier) Thielen and passed away on February 11, 2012 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 10 days. She was a long time US Post Office worker until her retirement. She lived in St. Louis, Missouri until moving to St. James, Missouri to live with her daughter and son-in-law in August 2008 after being widowed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Nellie Thielen; her husband, Alfred Addison on April 13, 2008; two brothers, Gilbert Thielen and Don Huels and one sister, Verna Chesney. She is survived by four children, Barbara Pierce of St. James, Missouri, Betty Sturm and husband John of St. James, Missouri, James Addison and wife Vickie of High Ridge, Missouri and Robert Addison and wife Carla of Cuba, Missouri; one brother, Frank Huels and wife Pat of Waterloo, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Jane Huels of Carlyle, Illinois; four grandchildren, Lori Tesson of Anaheim, California, Craig Tesson of Tempe, Arizona, Stephanie Brinkman of Hartland, Wisconsin and Ivy Stevens of Buffalo, Missouri; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; special nephew David Chesney of Clarksville, Tennessee who was very attentive to Catherine; other relatives and friends. No visitation was held. A private, family only, service was held. Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary. Lucille Green Lucille Green of Cuba, Missouri was born October 23, 1942 at Cherryville, Missouri to Emmitt and Eva (nee Callahan) Harris and passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 69 years. Lucille was united in marriage to Glen Green on November 12, 1960 at Cherryville, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born. Lucille spent her life taking care of her family and home. She mowed yards for others, helped all of her family and enjoyed working in the garden and growing flowers. If there was something to do outside, that is where Lucille wanted to be. Lucille helped with the RJ’s float for the parade each year but what Lucille treasured most was spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Eva Harris; two brothers, Dwight and Albert Harris; one sister, Frieda Fierce. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Glen Green of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters, Susie and husband Ralph Prickett of Cuba, Missouri and Judy and husband Tony Lenhardt of Rolla, Missouri; three grandchildren, RJ Prickett and Heather Prickett and fiancé Joshua Chapman of Cuba, Missouri and Brittany Lenhardt and fiancé Wes Martin of Rolla, Missouri; one great grandson, Evan Joshua Chapman of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Mary Ruth and husband Walter Haffer of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Violet Edison of Miami, Florida, June Nash of Salem, Missouri and Charlotte Green of Tipton, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Special music was “How Great Thou Art,” “Amazing Grace,” “Precious Memories” and “What Would I do if Jesus Came to My House.” Interment and prayers followed at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Doris Lea Hubert Doris Lea Hubert of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, was born April 29, 1940 in Crawford County, Missouri to James Logan and Myrtle Lula (Bryant) Harris and passed Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 71 years. Doris was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Republic. She married Harold Kenneth Hubert on January 19, 1957 in Cherryville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle Harris; husband, Harold on August 2, 2004; four sisters, Zelma Smith, Norma Davis, Reba Carter and Flora Harris and one brother, Richard Harris. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Hubert of Hollister, Missouri; five sons, Kenneth Hubert, Steve Hubert and wife Candy, Bob Hubert, David Hubert and wife Rosie, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Jeff Hubert and wife Jennifer of Billings, Missouri; three sisters, Wilma Doyle of Cuba, Missouri, Shirley Henry and Dana Harris of Monett, Missouri; three brothers, Alfred Harris and Albert Harris of Mt. Services were Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Fossett- Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Burial was in the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery. Shackelford of St. James, Missouri was born on November 14, 1934 in Cuba, Missouri to Pearl and Anna Elizabeth (Brooks) Gargus and passed away in Jefferson City, Missouri on February 16, 2012 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 2 days. Katherine was united in marriage to Lewis Lavern Shackelford in 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri. Katherine worked for the James Foundation; was a bus driver for many years; and she and her husband Buck owned and operated the Bucks Lodge and Canoe Rental. She loved to travel and taking trips in their motor home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Lavern Shackelford on January 6, 2011; her parents, Pearl and Anna (Brooks) Gargus; one daughter, Susan Diane Shackelford; six brothers, Donald, Vernon, Orville, Edward, Floyd and Martin Gargus; and one sister, Millie Gargus. She is survived by three sons, Earnest Shackelford of Urbana, Missouri, Dale Allen Shackelford of St. James, Missouri and Lewis (Tiger) Shackelford and wife Mary of Jefferson City, Missouri; two daughters, Janet Gruver and husband Jimmy of Cuba, Missouri and Patricia Delaschmitt of Columbia, Missouri; one sister, Louise (Gargus) Ballard of Illinois; grandchildren, Alicia Ventura, Adam Shackelford, Sara and Steve Green, Katie and Eric Workman, Blake Shackelford, Amy and David Parrott, Josh and Melissa Gruver, Emily and Shannon Moreland, Elizabeth Gruver, Megan Shackelford, Brandon Shackelford, Chelsea White, William White and Shane Faulkner; 11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
