Bird of Sullivan, Missouri was born at Curryville, Missouri on June 28, 1946 to Floyd and Grace (Hutson) Bird and passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the age of 64 years. He was raised in the St. Louis area later residing in Sullivan, Missouri. Floyd was self-employed as a carpet and flooring installer and worked part-time through Jerry’s RCA.  Early in life, Floyd enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting and boating.  His priority was his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Floyd was baptized in November of 2009 after which he devoted his life to the Lord. On June 22, 1983 he was united in marriage to Marsha Wilson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Crocker and Naomi Kelts. He is survived by his wife, Marsha of the family home; two sons, Scott Bird of the state of Indiana, and Darrel Mesey of the state of New Jersey; three daughters, Cindy Payne of Sullivan, Missouri, Carman Sampson and husband Paul of Jefferson City, Missouri and Amanda Bird-Zelch and husband Deacon of Bourbon, Missouri; two sisters, Dorothy Gable of Sullivan, Missouri and Diane Duncan and husband Ron of DeSoto, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; other relatives and friends. Memorial funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Sullivan. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Judith Ann Bruns Judith “Judy” Ann Bruns of Cuba, Missouri was born October 27, 1941 at Desloge, Missouri to Walter and Edna (nee Roberts) Bridgewater and passed away February 15, 2011 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 18 days. Judy was united in marriage to Robert J. Bruns on December 9, 1983 at St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a packing coordinator for Procter and Gamble in St. Louis for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and raising her dogs Coco and Max. She made several trips to Meadow View Ranch (home for elderly animals) were she would spend hours feeding the animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Bridgewater; mother, Edna Bridgewater Wilson; step father, Charles Wilson; other relatives and friends. She is survived by her husband, Bob Bruns of the home; sister, Peggy and husband Jim Vitali of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph and wife Kathy Bruns and Clarence and wife Terry Bruns, all of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Jackie and husband Jimmy Mace of Rolla, Missouri, Tina and husband Paul Peereboom of Australia, Tammy and husband Mark Downing and Jim M. and wife Kathie Vitali, all of Cuba, Missouri, Keith and wife Robyn Bruns of Atlanta, Georgia, Tim Bruns of San Franciso, California and Stacie and husband Steve Bansbach of Fort Meade, Maryland; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba with Father James Finder as celebrant. Casket bearers were Jimmy Viali, Mark Downing, Chad Downing, Clarence Bruns, Randy Mace and Jim Gilliam. Interment and prayers followed at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Frank “Stoney” Burke Sr. Frank “Stoney” Burke Sr. of St. James, Missouri was born in North St. Louis, Missouri on November 4, 1937 to Durphy and Elna (Staab) Burke and passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 17 days of age. Frank was united in marriage to Brenda on September 19, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. Frank served his country in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1974. He retired from the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Durphy and Elna Burke; one brother, Floyd Burke; one sister, Joan Talley and step mother, Jean Burke. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Burke of St. James, Missouri; two sons, Frank Burke Jr. of the home and Augie Burke and wife Denise of St. James, Missouri; one daughter, Connie Cahill and husband Doug of Vienna, Missouri; one sister, Katherine Hogan of St. Peters, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jacob Cahill and wife Debi, Otto Burke and Nathanial Cahill, Linda Blair and husband James and Seriae Haney; five great grandchildren, Sarah Blair, Connor Cahill, Caleb Horn, Chaelin Horn, Elijah Horn; other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jacob Cahill, Nathanial Cahill, Doug Cahill, Otto Burke, Charles Honse and Michael Anderson. Burial will be in the Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery at Waynesville, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri. Clyde E. Keeney Clyde E. Keeney of Bourbon, Missouri was born near Licking, Missouri on June 10, 1918 to Wilson and Vergolia (Hassell) Keeney and passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at the age of 92 years. As a child, he lived for a time in the St. Louis area and at the age of 10 moved to Bourbon, Missouri. On April 8, 1939 he was united in marriage to Laverna G. Brown at Steelville, Missouri and to this union five children were born. During WWII Clyde aided the war effort stateside by working on a farm at Sturgeon, Missouri, that supplied fresh produce and dairy products to the troops.  He later worked at the Atlas Powder Company at Weldon Spring, Missouri, that produced TNT for the war and at Pevely Dairy at Crescent, Missouri. After the war, Clyde resumed the employment with the Paramount Cap Company that he had begun when Paramount opened in Bourbon, Missouri in 1936. He later became foremen of the cutting room, retiring from this position after 40+ years of full time service and another 18 years of part time “post- retirement” service. Clyde was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bourbon where he was a member and Deacon. His service to the Lord spanned over 60 years as a Sunday school teacher and Director of the Sunday School, Chairman of the Deacons and song leader. His community service included terms on the town council and school board, timekeeper at the high school basketball games and selection with Laverna as Mr. and Mrs. Bourbon.  He and Laverna devotedly cultivated an extensive rose garden and enjoyed vegetable gardening, especially raising tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Vergolia Keeney; son Neil; seven brothers, Calvin, Jake, twin brothers, Heb and Eber, Afton, Marvin and Orville Keeney and by two sisters, Mildred Marr Ogden and Maxine Reigle. He is survived by, his wife, Laverna of the family home; four children, Ronald Keeney and wife Mary Ann of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jerry Keeney and wife Nancy of St. Louis, Missouri, Sonja Moore and husband Ted of Bourbon, Missouri and Pam Seide and husband Rick of Rolling Hills Estates, California; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Burial followed the service in the Hill Cemetery. Lonnie Lee Lonnie Lee of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, November 5, 1926 in Alco, Arkansas to John Monroe and Effie Jane Stanley Lee and passed away at Cuba Manor on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 9 days. Lonnie served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. He married Winnie Marie Mariott in Alco, Arkansas on November 18, 1946 and to this union 13 children were born. He was employed at National Rejectors Co., St. Louis, Missouri which made the vending machine coin parts. He later worked and retired from the Chrysler Corporation, Fenton, Missouri. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening and mechanical work. He loved his family very much, and they especially enjoyed his humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Effie Lee; wife, Winnie; son, Jerry Lee; granddaughter, Kristy Lee; brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Eddie (Carol) Lee of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Donnie (Burdette) Lee of Union, Missouri, Roger Lee of Rolla, Missouri, Connie (Steve) Pittaluga of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Randy (Sharon) Lee and Danny Lee, all of Cuba, Missouri, Kenny (Pam Gilmore) Lee of Potosi, Missouri, Keith Lee of Overland, Missouri, Tim (Sally) Lee of Bourbon, Missourui, Judy (Robert) Schaffer of St. Clair, Missouri, Rita (Doug) Ritter of Springfield, Missouri and Rhonda (Tim) Pitts of Cook Station, Missouri; brother, Thead (Hazel) Lee of Timbo, Arkansas; sister, Wanda Jean Taylor of Wichita, Kansas; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Jessie Mae) Mariott of Springdale, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren; great grand- children; other relatives and friends. Reagan of Bourbon, Missouri was born on March 20, 1925 in Ozawkie, Kansas to Lloyd and Maude (nee Abbott) Jones and passed away Friday, February 11, 2011, at the age of 85 years. She married Leighton Merel Grover in 1941 at Lawrence, Kansas. After his death in 1989, she married Truman Reagan in 1990, who preceded her in death in July of 2009. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school to the teenagers. Theona also enjoyed cooking and traveling with both of her husbands and liked to make jewelry from stones she collected on those trips.  She was a nurse at the John Cochran VA Hospital until she retired to be a full- time homemaker. She moved from Fenton to Bourbon in 1972. She is survived by three children with Leighton, and two step children from Truman, nine grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Dover officiating. Interment followed in the Bourbon Cemetery. Frances “Mae” Taff Frances “Mae” Taff of Jefferson City, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Francis and Hazel (Hicks) Stroud and passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Frances Mae was a life-long member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble to win and also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, which she was an avid fan. For many years, she loved taking care of her cat, Taffy, who now lives with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Hazel Stroud; two daughters, Annette and Amanda Taff; four sisters, Norma Keene, Iris Richter, Alyce Jones and Ellen Redus. She is survived by two sons, Rev. Charles Taff and wife Vicky of Brewster, Kansas and Clayton Taff of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters, Cathy Brandt of St. Louis, Missouri and Carla Eikermann and husband Jerry of Holts Summit, Missouri; one brother, Marvin Stroud and wife Doris of O’Fallon, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was from noon until time of service on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of “Amazing Grace” and “If You Could See Me Now” was played. Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jordan Taff, Les Young, J.W.
