Lueretta married Herman Clifford Bilbrey on April 27, 1948 in Cherryville, Missouri and to this union five children were born. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, working with flowers, feeding birds, playing cards and board games. She was a great seamstress and even made dresses for all her daughters. Lueretta always made birthday cakes for all of her childrenÕs birthdays. Robert Elmer "Bud" Blume Robert Elmer ÒBudÓ Blume of Cuba, Missouri was born May 2, 1929 to Elmer F. and Margaret (nee Pfau) Blume and passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 85 years. During 1942, in St. Louis, Bud received his welding certificate at the age of 13. He worked as a welder before enlisting in the United States Army serving from 1948-1952. After the Army, Bud married Pearl Lucille Ellis on October 2, 1952. During 1955 they bought a farm. From the late 1950Õs till the early 1960Õs Bud taught welding in St. Louis, Jefferson City and Rolla, Missouri. Bud went back to school during the 1960Õs at Purdue University where he learned to weld plastic. In 1964 Bud became an apprentice for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #562 in St. Louis and retired from the union in 1991 after 27 years of service. Bud owned Cuba Hardware from 1975 to 1987. He delivered trailers for Cowtown, JimÕs Motors and Flying A. In 1994 Bud went to work for Midwest Sales in Cuba and retired in 2007. After retirement he enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, AMC Channel, the news each day and word search books. Bud was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret Blume; three sisters, Eleanor Stewart, Gloria and husband David Adams and Anita and husband Warren Glassey; one sister-in-law, Betty Blume; and two brothers-in-law, Russell Ellis and John Miller. Connie Sue Dodgen Connie Sue Dodgen (nee Lowder) was born on Tuesday, July 23, 1957 in Belleville, Illinois to Stanley Stewart and Eva Eugenia ÒGeannieÓ (Large) Lowder and passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 27 days. Connie accepted the Lord early in life and enjoyed attending family style churches. She married Jimmy Lee Dodgen on December 15, 1982 on Scott Air Force Base in Champaign, Illinois. She was a military wife for 25 years. Connie enjoyed working with ceramics, and cross-stitching. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Geannie Lowder; and her husband, Jimmie Dodgen on August of 2013. Lloyd Joseph Hawkins Lloyd Joseph Hawkins of St. Clair, Missouri was born in St. Clair, Missouri on September 15, 1920 to Joseph Bird and Grace Mae Hawkins, nee Boyd, and passed away in Rolla, Missouri on February 11, 2015 at the age of 94 years, 4 months and 26 days. As a young man, he was united in marriage and blessed to have two children. On October 15, 1949, he was united in marriage to Beulah Charlotte Taylor and three children were born of this union. Lloyd was a Christian, believing in the Lord as his savior having been baptized at Green Mount Baptist Church in St. Clair, Missouri. He was proud to have served his country during World War II in the Untied States Army, entering July 13, 1942 and receiving his honorable discharge on December 23, 1945. He was a carpenter by trade and had worked through the Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 1839 of Washington, Missouri. In later years, he was a self-employed carpenter, working primarily in residential construction. Lloyd loved listening to Cajun music. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an avid reader and also did some oil painting. Lloyd was talented at woodworking and especially liked working with cedar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Grace Hawkins; wife, Beulah Hawkins; son, Larry Hawkins; one brother, Wilbur Hawkins; and three sisters, Bessie Vaughn, Lennie Hults and Goldie Johnson. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and received his schooling at St. James Greater Parish in Dogtown, Missouri. On June 23, 1990 he was united in marriage to Connie Isgriggs in Villa Ridge, Missouri Ron was a dedicated employee working as a truck driver for over 16 years and was most recently employed at Silgan in Union, Missouri for the past three years. Ron liked to spend time hunting, fishing, playing baseball and soccer with his children. He enjoyed growing vegetables, gardening and was excellent at cross-stitching. As a diehard Blues fan he would take in a game with his friends every chance he could. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Irene Maeirhoffer and Sylvester and Henrietta Bertke. Shaw of Cuba, Missouri was born December 13,1921 to James E. and Ollie (nee Goodson) Shaw and passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Floyd served in the U.S. Army from 1942Ð1945. Floyd was awarded four Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal and the Bronze Star medal for the North France Campaign, Rhineland Campaign, Central Europe Campaign and the Ardennes Campaign.Ê Floyd married Greeba Rains on February 22, 1946 at Marshall, Arkansas. Floyd worked as a transport driver for Ray Oil in Fenton and was the owner/operator of Shaw Skelly Gas Station in Fenton from 1969 till 1979. Also worked at the gas station in Dupo, Illinois and Arnold, Missouri. After retirement they moved to Richwoods and in 1984 Floyd and Greeba moved to Cuba, Missouri. Floyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and planting a large garden. Floyd was on the bowling league in Fenton, Cuba and House Springs, Missouri. Floyd played horseshoes until he was 92 and one year at the fair he sang with Ronnie McDowell, ÒYou Are My SunshineÓ. Richard was saved at a young age at Bible Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri. He then attended Mt. Olive Church as long as he was able. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and in his early life he served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry. He was preceded in death by his father, William West. Dora attended East Prairie High School in Southeast Missouri. On January 29, 1948 she was united in marriage to Ben Tinnon in High Prairie, Missouri. Dora loved being a mom and homemaker. She was employed at White Castle in St. Louis for over 17 years. Dora was a dedicated member of the Belle Faith Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Called Anointed Sent Food Pantry in Belle. Dora liked to raise chickens, gardening, planting flowers, visiting with friends and family.
