MO Local Obituaries for the Week of February 26, 2020 Flay "Lee" Ary Flay "Lee" Ary of St. James, Missouri was born in Thayer, Missouri on September 17, 1941 to Rufus and Mamie (Blackwell) Ary and passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Lee married Violet Radford on May 27, 1972. Lee and Violet owned and operated Tiger Pizza in St. James, Missouri. Lee was very involved in the community and was a member of the St. James Fire Department, American Legion Post #607, lifetime member of the N.R.A., and the St. James Sports Club. He loved children and knew the importance of their role in our future. He was especially proud to be "Santa" for the Christmas activities within the St. James Sports Club. Lee enjoyed tinkering with things in his shop and could fix just about anything. He always helped his friends and neighbors with things they needed fixed as well. He worked for Holsum Bakery for 11 years and then went to work for the Chrysler Corporation where he joined the United Auto Workers of America union. He stayed at Chrysler until he retired. He was a jack of all trades, loved a good joke, loved animals and wildlife in general. He had a strong belief and faith in God, always gave to the less fortunate. He loved St. Louis Cardinal baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Mamie Ary; wife of 28 years, Violet Ary; and step son, Bobby Joe Smith. Kathryn Diane Carr Kathryn Diane Carr, known to all as Kathy, of St. Clair, Missouri, was born in Rolla, Missouri on January 26, 1974 to Edward Kendall and Carol Sue (nee Roper) Carr and passed away on February 1, 2020 at the age of 46 years and 5 days. Kathy was married at a young age. In August of 2015 she began sharing her life with Jesse Black. Kathy was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. She had furthered her education after high school and had obtained her Master's Degree in Non Profit Management. She was currently employed as an Executive Director of The Children's Advocacy Center, working in many area counties. She was also an Assistant Director of the Junior Dogs Girls Basketball Program in St. Clair, Missouri. Kathy was an outgoing person. She had enjoyed running, was an avid basketball fan, especially college basketball, liked doing crafts and bowling. Having her nails and hair done and going shopping were favorite pastimes. She had great organizational skills and often helped others with fundraisers. Jessie "Becky" Rebecca Crow Jessie "Becky" Rebecca (Durbin) Crow of St. Peters, Missouri was born on Wednesday, September 21, 1938 in Cuba, Missouri to Walter and Bessie Durbin and passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age 81 years. Becky grew up in Cuba, Missouri where she was active in both the Cuba Schools and First Baptist Church. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who called her "Nana." Marsha Renee Frye Marsha Renee Frye of Bland, Missouri was born August 27, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to Marshall Johnson and Linda (Chaney) Johnson Holt and passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 53 years. She married Christopher Frye in June of 2004. Marsha was an avid outdoors person. She loved riding 4-wheelers, camping and fishing. She especially loved when they lived at the lake and she was able to catch supper. Marsha also enjoyed planning her little garden each spring and sharing the bounty of her labor with family and friends. She also had a lot of blackberry bushes that she also picked from each summer. She was a people person and a caretaker. She was that person that would give you the shirt off her back if she knew you needed it. She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Johnson. Tommy was raised in St. James, Missouri and graduated from St. James High School. He worked as a dairy farmer for 30 years and at Intercounty Electric as a lineman for 20 years. Tommy volunteered for 20 years at Phelps Health Hospital. He later moved to Cook Station, Missouri. Tommy loved to dance. He enjoyed farming and baling hay. Bradley lived most of his adult life in Alamogordo, New Mexico and married his wife Kolle Marie Freeman in Alamogordo on March 3, 2013. He was an excellent mechanic and paint/body man. He worked several years building custom motorcycles especially Harley Davidson. He was very skilled and took pride in his work. Ricky Lee Ogle Ricky Lee Ogle of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Cherryville, Missouri, was born June 5, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert Wayne Ogle and Ruth Olive Howdeshell and passed away February 1, 2020 at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 24 days. Ricky graduated from Cherryville High School. He was very athletic and involved in several sports during that time. He was employed in the tool and dye trade for many years. Ricky had a third degree Black Belt and was state champion at one time. For a few years, he h ad a studio teaching children karate for free. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ruth Ogle; one sister, Donna Ogle. His brother-in-law, Jim Jones, passed away a few days later. Richard married Norma Jean Sutterfield on February 14, 1954. Richard graduated from Bunker High School. After graduation he attended college in Warrensburg, Missouri. A honored Army veteran, Richard served during the Korean War. Richard taught school and coached basketball at Des Arc, Potosi and Ironton Schools. As time went on, he worked at the St. Louis Post Dispatch as a district manager for many years. He retired and moved back to Salem, Missouri and worked with the Current River Parks Dept. He also owned and operated Mr. Swiss Restaurant in Salem, Missouri for many years. Richard loved fishing in his pond, gardening and staying on his place. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bertha Ludwig Prugh; wife, Norma Jean Prugh on March 9, 2006; daughter, Myra Prugh and brother, Bill Prugh. On October 14, 1988 in Cherryville, Richard married Ellen Garrison. Richard attended the Cherryville Church of God. He had a music minister license and dearly loved music and playing his guitar. Richard enjoyed his time he spent with Ellen in her ministry for over 30 years. He also enjoyed working in his garden. Lee Roy Siegfried Lee Roy Siegfried II of Leasburg, Missouri was born March 2, 1944 in San Louis Obispo, California to Lee Roy and Ethel Lea (Dial) Siegfried and passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the age of 75 years. He attended high school in Lebanon, Illinois. In 1961 Lee joined the United States Army at the age of 17. He retired after 20 years of honorable service. He married Barbara (McCoy) Siegfried on January 26, 1975 in El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Etthel Siegfried; brother, Johnny Siegfried; and step mother, Mary Jane Siegfried. Fern Verlee Smith Fern Verlee Smith of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of St. Clair, Missouri, was born in Belleville, Illinois on May 10, 1929 to William Harmon and Cleonia Sarah Dixon (nee McEwen) and passed a way on February 13, 2020 at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 3 days. As a young woman she married Clarence Leo Cates. She later married James Fischer. On April 14, 1977 she married Roscoe Dean Smith. Fern was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was a machine operator at Wolff Shoe Company in Union, Missouri, retiring after many years of service to the company. Going trout fishing and camping were two of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed embroidering and crocheting. She traded the city life for country life moving to Owensville, Missouri. She received her license of practical nursing on November 22, 1991. She then worked many years as a valued employee at Springfield Rehab and Healthcare Center in Springfield, Missouri. Patricia was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Sullivan, Missouri. It was there she was able to share her love of baking and serving. She felt it was important to give back to the community that had given so graciously years previous.
