MO Local Obituaries for the Week of February 27, 2008 Deborah Frances Armer Deborah Frances (Green) Armer, 53, of Alexandria, Louisana was born Saturday, November 13, 1954 in Summerville, Massachusetts and passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in Rapides Regional Medical Center. She was a member of The Pentecostals of Alexandria where she worked in the church nursery with the three year old Wonderland Class and was on call for the First Response Team. She was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. After nursing for 25 years with hospitals, public health and was later a Nursing Instructor for eight years with Louisiana Technical College. She was preceded in death by her father, Delmer Green and one sister, Jonie Malott. She is survived by two daughters, Delila Cecil and husband, Richard of Alexandria, Louisiana, Deanna Armer of Alexandria, Louisiana; her mother, Marie Green of Troy, Missouri; one brother, John Green of Troy, Missouri; one sister, Janice Blagg of St. Louis, Missouri. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at The Pentecostals of Alexandria with Rev. Anthony Mangun and Rev. Terry Shock officiating under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home in Alexandria, Louisiana. Funeral services were held in Missouri at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of “Held” and “Remember Me This Way” were played. The Eulogy was read by a niece, Cindy Malott. Committal prayer and burial were in the Davisville Cemetery in Davisville, Missouri. Casketbearers were Harold Green, Joe Green, Eddie Green, Lindell Green, Kevin Smith, Gary Calkins, Thomas Blagg and Josh Hamilton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Audrey E. Bommer Audrey E. Bommer of Bourbon, Missouri, was born July 5, 1926 at St. Louis, Missouri to Edgar and Agnes (Christopher) Sarhage and she passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the age of 81 years. She lived in the St. Louis area until 1986 when she moved to Bourbon, Missouri to make her home. While in St. Louis, Missouri she worked for a time as a beautician and later as a teacher’s clerk with the Hazelwood School District and St. Louis Community College. On March 27, 1958 she married Theodore J. Bommer. She enjoyed her family, flower gardening, yard work and fishing. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bourbon, Missouri. She is survived by two sons, Terry Bommer of Chesterfield, Missouri and Scott Bommer of St. Charles, Missouri; one daughter, Dawn Arrigo of Bourbon, Missouri; step son, Jerry Bommer; brother, Glennon Sarhage of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Lauren, Jesse and Zack Bommer, Ben and Cara Arrigo; other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 from the First United Methodist Church, Bourbon, Missouri with Rev. Leo Shumaker officiating. Interment in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Sylvia Viola Dace Sylvia Viola Dace of Sullivan, Missouri was born at St. James, Missouri on November 26, 1909 to Edward L. and Myrtle E. (Bacon) Steen and she passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 23 days. She was a life-long resident of Sullivan, Missouri and was married to Vernon J. Dace, Sr. on September 27, 1941. Vi worked for a time at the former Hiller Florist in Sullivan, Missouri and later was employed at the former PACCO plant. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play baseball and other sports. In her free time she enjoyed quilting with the ladies at First Assembly where she was a long time member. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, William and Charles Steen. She is survived by a son, Vernon J. Dace, Jr. and wife Sharon of Sullivan, Missouri; two grandsons, Jarrett Dace and wife Sherry and Derek Dace, all of Sullivan, Missouri; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008 from the First Assembly of God in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Kyle Phillips officiating. Interment was in Oddfellow Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Jeannetta Mae Hammerstrom Jeannetta Mae Hammerstrom nee Ray was born November 18, 1923 in Steelville, Missouri and passed away January 15, 2008 in Oakwood, Georgia at age 84 years. Jeannetta was a member of the Ozark Ridge Rider’s Saddle Club, the American Business Women’s Organization, secretary of the Homeowners Association in her Ballwin, Missouri neighborhood and owned her own embossing company. She was a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lula Hester Hanks Ray and James William Ray; brother, William David Parker Ray, and husband, DeWayne H. Hammerstrom. She is survived by sisters, Ava Lee Robinson and Sarah Lou Jones; sister-in-law, Wanda Ray; her daughter, Janet June Bernhardt; three grandchildren, Bambi L. Wright, Richard R. Bernhardt, and Stephanie A. Dierberg; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Services will be held at Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO 63011 on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at noon.
