She grew up and attended school in Scotia, Missouri. Mabel married Adolph Beckett on August 10, 1951. and to this union, three They moved to Bourbon, Missouri where they began to raise their family. Mabel worked at Paramount Apparel for many years. Mabel retired from Paramount in 1994. She loved raising and breeding various dogs for Grammy B's Kennel. Mabel also raised chickens and peacocks and loved her flowers, she was especially fond of her roses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Beckett; son, Tom Beckett; parents, Earl and Tennie Marie (King) Ennis; and two sisters, Edna Downing and Eileen Bryan. Mildred Mae Beckler Mildred Mae Beckler of Owensville, Missouri was born Monday, August 13, 1934 at Belle, Missouri to Harry and Stella (nee Helmig) Robertson and passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Mildred married Michael Leon Beckler on August 15, 1954 at Belle, Missouri. Mildred attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri for two years before transferring to SMS in Springfield, Missouri where she graduated with a teaching degree. Her career started in a one room school house in 1956. She taught in Collins, Abesville, Mansfield, Edgar Springs, Blue Eye and she retired from the Crawford County R-II School District in 1992. After Mildred and Leon moved to Owensville, Mildred substituted for the Owensville School District. Mildred played the piano and the accordion for many years. She loved going to the nursing home where she would play the piano for the residents. She was an avid reader, studied her bible daily and spent part of each day in prayer. There was a special place in Mildred's heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. She enjoyed scrapbooking, before it was popular, and she was a Pen Pal to many around the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Stella Robertson; husband, Leon Beckler; one son, John G. Beckler; great grandson, Daeton Woods; one brother George Robertson; one sister, Patsy Segrest; and one sister-in-law, Virginia and husband John Miller. She is survived by two sons, Michael E. and wife Connie Beckler of Independence, Missouri and Aaron D. Bouse Larry G. Bouse of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, December 31, 1942 at Shirley, Missouri to Harry Paul Sr. and Iva Elizabeth (nee Pharis) Bouse and passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Larry married Rilla Alberta Adair on May 8, 1965 at Cuba, Missouri. Larry worked for Capital Quarry in Sullivan, Missouri for nearly 34 years as a heavy equipment operator. When he was only nine years old, he would ride his bike three miles to the hay field and help drag bales to the trailer. He would give his money to his mom so that she could buy food for his brothers. When Larry wasn't operating heavy equipment, he was working on old cars. Larry had the art of barbequing down to a science. He had a great passion for animals, especially his dog, but Larry didn't like to see any animal hurting. Larry and Alberta went on a deer ride. They would count the deer in the fields. Larry drew out a part for the conveyor belt one day, someone else made it. Soon it was patented and now is sold to other quarries around the world. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie C. Britton; parents, Harry and Iva Bouse Sr.; brothers, Fred Bouse, Russell Bouse and Harry P. Bouse Jr.; sister, Ruth and husband Tom Scholljegerdes; brothers-in-law, Glenn and Ronald Ray Adair; and sister-in-law, Lula Adair. On January 27, 1968 she married James David Brown. He preceded her in death on January 2000. Ellen loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Barbara attended Roosevelt High School, graduating in May 1959. She married James Lewis Massie on December 26, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. They shared 57 years of marriage together. James and Barbara moved to Bourbon, Missouri in 1977. Barbara loved to travel. Barbara was an active church member and enjoyed volunteering at the Bourbon Thrift Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" L. Massie; her parents, Robert and Amelia Allen; five sisters, Amelia Mooney, Laura Verges, Dorothy Madden, Marion Miller and Shirley Mitchell. She married Rodney Nissen on February 22, 1997 in St. Clair, Missouri. Sylvia was employed in housekeeping at Meramec Caverns and as a security guard. But, most recently, she stayed home to care for her husband. Sylvia was a very down to earth person who enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed baking cookies and reading. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Payne; and one sister, Lisa Busse. After serving in the Navy, Roy developed a successful business logging and marketing timber with family. While living in Creve Couer, Missouri, he married Doris (Schmitt) DiVito of Holy Cross, Iowa in November 1979. The couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1982 where he worked for Bell Acura and organized golf tournaments benefitting the Lupus Foundation. He especially enjoyed frequent golf outings, engaging in political discussions and visiting friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nellie Shockley of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Geneva Vonderschmidt of Topeka, Kansas; and brother Glenn Shockley of Roswell, Georgia. Mathew Thomas Smith Mathew Thomas Smith of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, April 25, 1969 in Enterprise, Oregon to Jerome James and Barbara Jean (Rubendall) Smith and passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 49 years, 9 months and 25 days. Mathew joined the Army after he graduated high school, then later married Rachel Donna Reckerd on August 1, 1992. Mathew accepted the Lord early in life. He worked various jobs, including management positions in the restaurant industry; but lastly, he was self employed. He enjoyed gaming and taekwondo. He liked going fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed his horses and to shoot guns. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah Smith, Luke Smith, Caleb Smith and Andrea O'Donnell; grandparents, John and Sarah Smith and Charles and Dorothy Rubendall. In late 1967 she married James Obey Wilson, who preceded her in death in January of 2000. Prior to her retirement, Betty worked for 25 years for the Fashion Shop in Rolla, Missouri. In later years she enjoyed attending the Jerome Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Napoleon and Kitty Bray; husbands, Ben Radcliff and James Wilson; three brothers; and two sisters.
