Ralph E. Adams
Ralph E. Adams of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, May 20, 1927 at Desloge,
Missouri to the union of Roy and Grace (nee Pierce) Adams and passed away
Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Steelville, Missouri at the age of 81 years,
9 months and 2 days.
Ralph was united in marriage to Veda Lorene Leslie on February 9, 1952 at
St. Louis, Missouri.
Ralph started working at a very young age. He worked for the railroad, was
a TV repairman, worked as a manger of the laundry department for St. Ann
Hospital, and drove a taxi cab all before retiring from Crown Foods in the
warehouse division. Ralph proudly served in the United States Marine Corp
during the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed reading and watching a good old western in his spare time, but
what he loved most was his family and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother and step father, Grace and
Jim Hoffman; grandson, Daniel Adams; one brother, Carl “Butch” Adams; two
sisters, Marie and Norma Jean; other relatives and friends.
He is survived by six sons, Ralph Adams, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri, Tony and
wife Pat Dixon of St. Louis, Missouri, Gary Adams of Glen Allan, Missouri,
Martin, Michael and Brian Adams, all of Cuba, Missouri; six daughters,
Jackie and husband Melvin Makara of Cuba, Missouri, Carolyn and husband
Donald Bowolak of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara and husband Michael Zobrist
of Cuba, Missouri, Debbie and husband Michael Evans of St. Louis, Missouri,
Sandra and husband James Mendoza and Terri and husband Jim Tyler of Cuba,
Missouri; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister, Bert of
the state of California; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, February 26, 2009 from noon until 3 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. “When I Get To Where I’m Going” and “Believe”
was the special music for the service.
Interment followed at Kinder Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Inez Alice Cox
Inez Alice Cox of Dyer, Indiana, formerly of Cherryville, Missouri was born
January 23, 1923 to Marion and Nora (Morrison) Donal in Cherryville,
Missouri and passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 in Dyer, Indiana at the
age of 86 years.
On March 27, 1953, she was married to William Alfred Cox in Pocahontas,
Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2003.
When growing up in Cherryville, Inez and her sisters played country music on
the local radio station where Inez played the guitar.
She later went to a school of cosmetology in St. Louis and became licensed in
five states and owned her own shop in St. Louis. After getting married her
and her husband moved to Indiana, Ohio and Nebraska eventually moving back to
Dyer, Indiana after her husband passed away in 2003.
She enjoyed playing cards with her family, fishing, quilting, cooking and
embroidering.
Inez had a little Boston terrier, Dixie, whom she loved to spoil and will
miss her.
Inez attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star in
Omaha, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Thomas
Donal and wife Esther; one sister, Carol Eveland and husband Hubert and one
brother-in-law, Arthur Wigger.
She is survived by one son, Alan Cox and wife Nina of Bennington, Nebraska;
two daughters, Patricia Jones and husband Jerry of Dyer, Indiana and Rita
Booth of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Helen Wigger of St. Louis, Missouri;
nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time on Monday, March 2, 2009 at
the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.
Special music of “In the Garden,” “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged
Cross” were played. Granddaughters Lisa Koble and Chrissy Cox and great
granddaughter, Judy Oyama read the poems, The Dash and Precious in the Sight
of the Lord.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery in Steelville,
Missouri.
Casket bearers were Jerry Koble, Joe Wohlgemuth, Jesse Rios, Ted Wills,
Roger Donal and Doug Stone.

Joyce K. Deardeuff
Joyce K. Deardeuff of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of John W. and
Louise M. (Gruver) Copling on Sunday, July 6, 1952 in Cuba, Missouri and
passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 56 years,
7 months and 26 days.
Joyce was an accountant having served the community for many years. She was
involved with many Charitable Organizations, River Valley Rod & Custom Car
Club of Cuba, Historical reenactments and making jewelry. She was also a
member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. But what was most important to her
was looking after her family, neighbors and friends. Her positive outlook
and smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Phinis H. Deardeuff; two step-daughters,
Sheila Deardeuff of Illinois and Cheri Viramontes of Cuba, Missouri; mother,
Louise M. (Gruver) and husband Bill Lause of Cuba, Missouri; one brother,
John and wife Tammy Copling of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters Judy Gunn of
High Ridge, Missouri, Karen and husband Mike Garrison of Cuba, Missouri,
Vicky and husband Allen Potter of High Ridge, Missouri; mother-in-law,
Leona Sutton of St. James, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ella Hughes of Salem,
Missouri, three brothers-in-law, Carl and wife Nancy Deardeuff of Cuba,
Missouri, Sherman and wife Covenly Deardeuff of Ashland, Missouri, Cecil
and wife Shirley Deardeuff of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11 a.m.
at Britton Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Teal officiating. Interment in
Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Dorothy Marie Enloe
Dorothy Marie Enloe of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, March 12, 1924
at Hinch, Missouri to the union of Lester A. and Dora E. (nee Brand) Mitchell
and passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of
84 years, 11 months and 13 days.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard W. Enloe on September 15, 1946 at
Rolla, Missouri and to this union two sons were born.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri and the Disabled
American Veterans Auxiliary. Dorothy served as secretary of the Meramec Baptist
Association and worked in the kitchen at church for many years.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidery, and “As The World
Turns.” But what was always most important to her was taking care of her family
and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lester Mitchell; five
sisters, Ruby Mitchell, Mabel and husband Fred Gorman, Pearl and husband Frank
Tucker, Rose and husband Clarence Stephens and Hazel and husband Jim Webster;
other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years of Cuba, Missouri; two sons, Rick
and wife Becky Enloe of Springfield, Missouri and Nathan and wife Theresa Enloe
of Cuba, Missouri; five granddaughters, Dena and husband Bob Atchley of
Springfield, Missouri, Sara and husband Chris Summers of Cuba, Missouri,
Kellie and husband Justin Soles of Springfield, Missouri, Natalee and husband
Travis Watkins of Washington DC and Suzanne Enloe of Cuba, Missouri; three
great grandchildren, Cheyenne Summers of Cuba, Missouri, Kaitlynne Atchley of
Springfield, Missouri and Chase Summers of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, February 27, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral
Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Bob Knight and Pastor Don Martin
officiating. “In The Garden” and “I’ll Fly Away” were the special music for
the service.
Interment followed at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Dorothy Rosemary Felden
Dorothy Rosemary, nee Henry, Felden was born January 15, 1923 in Chicago,
Illinois to Ralph James Henry and Alice May (Sturges) Henry and passed away
February 20, 2009 in Sedalia, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 1 month and
5 days.
She attended and graduated from Holy Cross School in 1937 and Cuba High
School, Cuba, Missouri in 1941. She also attended St. Joseph Nursing School,
Alton, Illinois.
Dorothy married Navy career pilot, Marvin O’Neil Felden in 1943 and to this
union three children were born.
They settled on a ranch out of Salem, Missouri after retirement and raised
cattle.
Dorothy was active in Sacred Heart Church, the Red Cross, American Legion
Auxiliary and established many charities, Agape House and Crisis Center.
Her motto was, “I shall pass through this world but once any good therefore,
I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being let me do it now. I
will not defer it or neglect it. For I shall not pass this way again.”
She was devoted to her family. She loved trying new recipes from all over
the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years; one son, Marvin;
daughter-in-law, Therese; her parents; sisters, Valear Malnassey, Elizabeth
Warner; brothers, Ralph and Howard Henry; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice Felden of Stover, Missouri and Mary
Ann Poore and husband Robert M. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; grandchildren,
Donald Wayne Poore and wife Trish, Desiree R. Brickey, Robin Slocum and
husband Chris; great grandchildren, Sydney Poore, Samantha Poore, Cody
Melton, Paige Brickey; three sisters, Myra Henry of Cuba, Missouri, Romona
Francis Bigham and Joe, Brownfield, Texas and Carol Breslich of Bourbon,
Missouri; best friend, Freda (Stubblefield) Workman, Cuba, Missouri; Jo
(caretaker), Salem, Missouri, Jeff and Phil (caretaker and foremen of the
ranch); other relatives and friends.
A funeral mass was held February 23, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Church,
Salem, Missouri with Father Dan Hirtz and Deacon Richard Cole officiating.
Music was provided by the Sacred Heart Choir.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Armstrong, Chris Slocum, George Bilbrey,
Phillip Christ, Jeff Christ and Hershel Moser.
Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery, Salem, Missouri.
All arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary, Salem,
Missouri.
Charles Raymond Jones Sr.
Charles “Charlie” Raymond Jones Sr., of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of
Steelville, Missouri was born August 30, 1931 to Chester and Irene (Simmons)
Jones in Benton, Missouri and passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at
the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
On November 22, 1952, he was married to Alyce Stroud who preceded him in
death on November 19, 1991.
Charlie served his country in the U.S. Marines.
In his earlier years, he played Triple A baseball for the Cacti League during
a 1951 season.
Charlie enjoyed fishing, listening to baseball games, woodworking and most
of all his “family.”
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by one son, Charles R. Jones, Jr. and companion Ron Hovis of
St. Louis, Missouri; seven daughters, Pam Steffen and husband Paul of Lebanon,
Tennessee, Barbara Jones Dotson, Sandra Hardin, Robin Stark and husband Bruce,
Karen Jackson and husband Rick and Tracy Greenwalt and husband Rodney, all of
Cuba, Missouri and Teal Turnbough and husband Jerry of Steelville, Missouri;
two brothers, Alvin Backus and wife Rita of Linn, Missouri and Herbert
Holubeck and wife Linda of Salem, Missouri; one sister, Revella Kasprzyk
and husband Joseph of Jacksonville, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Charles Taff
officiating. Special music of “When I Get where I Am Going” and
“How Great Thou Art” were played.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery in Steelville,
Missouri.
Casket bearers were Paul Steffen, Rick Jackson, Rodney Greenwalt, Jerry
Turnbough, Bruce Stark and Ricky Hardin.

Janet A. Moreland
Janet A. Moreland of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Sylvester and
Sylvia (Saunders) Magner on November 6, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky passed
away Friday, February 27, 2009 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 77.
Janet was united in marriage to Eugene Moreland on April 21, 1961 in
Clayton, Missouri.
Janet retired from the H.B.E. Company in Creve Coeur, Missouri after years of
dedicated service. Her family, dogs and friends were the most important part
of her life and she enjoyed all of the times that they shared together. In
her spare time she enjoyed animals, reading books and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Donald “Skip” and wife Patti
Moreland of Union, Missouri, Scott and wife Charlotte Moreland of Rockford,
Illinois; seven grandchildren, Chris and wife Leslie Moreland, Lara and
husband David Rufh, Elizabeth and husband Jim Arras, Tony Moreland, Michael
and Chris Slane, Lisa Moreland; four great grandchildren, Shayley and Gavin
Rufh, Josephine Moreland and Brynna Rufh; one brother, Jack and wife Chris
Magner of Puckeridge, England; other relatives and friends.
Memorial visitation was on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 9 a.m. until time of
Memorial Service at 10 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Melanie
Barbarito, officiating. Inurnment Valhalla Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

Donald W. Millsap
Donald W. Millsap of California, was born September 19, 1932 in Leasburg,
Missouri to Paul and Mollie Millsap and he passed away Monday,
February 2, 2009 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House at the age of 76 years.
Don worked as a grocery clerk for Liberty Market in Turlock, California for
27 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War
and was a member of the VFW Post 5059 in Turlock, California. He enjoyed
fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Audrey “Mickie” Millsap of Denair, California;
children, Debbie (Tim) Caulkins of Ripon, California, Connie (Jay) Randall
of Modesto, California, Sherry (Jim) Frazier of Waterford, California and
John (Teri) Millsap of Denair, California; grandchildren, Stacy King,
Stephanie (Jared) Bylsma, Nicole (Bo) Ecker, Jimmy Frazier, Trent and Blayke
Millsap; great grandchildren, Andrew McClung, Grant, Greg and Garret Ecker;
sisters, Lorena Wissmann of Union, Missouri and Hattie Sue (Warren) Atherton

Jerry “J.T.” Turnbough
Jerry “J.T.” Turnbough of St. Louis, Missouri, was born July 24, 1966 and
passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at the age of 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Turnbough, nee Auer; mother, Linda
(Mitchell) OJile; father, Jerry (Teal) Turnbough of Steelville, Missouri;
siblings, Sherrie (Dave) Wilson, Terry, Tyler and Alycen and Michael
Turnbough and Greg (Kathy) and Michael OJile; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 3-9 p.m. at the Kutis South
County Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Kutis South
County Chapel, St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Kutis Funeral Home, St. Louis,
Missouri.
Patricia Viola Webb
Patricia Viola Webb of Sullivan, Missouri was born on November 25, 1940 to
Lionel and Hazel A. (Clannin) Ayers in Chestnut Ridge, Missouri and passed
away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the age of 68 years.
She married John G. Webb on June 23, 1973. Patricia was a loving and caring
person as evidenced by her many years of working in nursing homes. Even more
than caring for her family and residents in the nursing home, she loved to
take rides in the car with her husband and children. She also enjoyed pets,
especially her dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronald and Donald
Ayers; and a baby sister, Alice.
She is survived by her husband of the family home; four sons, James E.
Gillette of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Donald L. Gillette and wife Ellen of
Anaconda, Missouri, Mark A. Gillette of Florissant, Missouri and Lonnie D.
Gillette of Sullivan, Missouri; four daughters, Ronda Short and husband Jamie
of Gulfport, Mississippi, Patti Thurmond and husband Paul of Bland, Missouri,
Joan Skaggs and husband David of Mineral Point, Missouri and Nancy Scott and
husband Lucas of Rolla, Missouri; three sisters, Joann Woodfin and Lanell
Paoni of Farmington, Missouri and Sandy Michael of California; 30
grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted at noon on Friday, February 27, 2009 in the chapel
of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Scott Perry
officiating.
Burial followed in the Bourbon Cemetery.
All arrangements under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
