Walter "Walt" Harry Brickey Walter "Walt" Harry Brickey of Davisville, Missouri was born November 19, 1938 in Berryman, Missouri to Harry and May Fitzwater Brickey and passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 4 days. Walt served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a 50 year member of the Eagles Club in Viburnum, Missouri. Walt had attended the Lost Creek Baptist Church and was baptized in that faith many years ago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, making wine and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and May Brickey; infant brother, Eudell Brickey; and two sisters, Loretta (Donald) Essmyer and Sarah Louise (Otis Ray) Free. Dennis Robert Burchard Dennis Robert Burchard of Davisville, Missouri was born July 21, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Mardel Burchard and passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 70 years. Dennis married Debbie Strathmann on February 11, 1984. Dennis served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Davisville American Legion #601. Dennis became involved in telecommunications during the service and made a career of it until retirement. After moving to the Davisville, Missouri area, he drove a school bus for the Iron County Viburnum Schools. He also owned a gunsmith shop called Davisville Firearms. He and Debbie enjoyed riding their ATV's on his farm and enjoyed raising cattle for a number of years. As a hobby, he spent some of his time as a mechanic working on vintage cars. Dennis also enjoyed reading novels and true stories about Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mardel Berry. Jeremy Wade Cale Jeremy Wade Cale of St. James, Missouri was born in Columbia, Missouri on January 4, 1980 to Floyd and Barbara Fredenall Hayden Cale and passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 40 years. Jeremy was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School in St. James, Missouri the Class of 1997. He was a avid outdoors man, he loved fishing and being around the water. He enjoyed being with friends and sharing life experiences around the bonfire. A natural people person, Jeremy never knew a stranger, and never once, was he not, the first person there when a friend needed a hand. He was an electrician by trade but could work on and repair just about any small engine he could get his hands on. He loved to "tinker" and take apart and fix weedeaters, chainsaws and lawn mowers. He also enjoyed planning and planting a summer garden and his dogs. Darrell Lee Callahan Darrell Lee Callahan of Steelville, Missouri was born Thursday, May 20, 1954 at Steelville, Missouri to Willis and Geraldine (nee Turnbough) Callahan and passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the age of 65 years. Darrell married Barbara Callahan on Friday, April 28, 1972 at Center Ridge Pentecostal Church, Cherryville, Missouri. Darrell loved being outdoors. He spent his life cutting wood, coon hunting, raising coon dogs, taking care of his donkeys and many trips to the creek. He raised a baby squirrel "Punken" and he raised many baby coons. He loved to spend his evenings sitting on his parents back porch and visiting with them about his day. He would listen to the scanner every day and his favorite shows to watch were westerns, Andy Griffith Show, Benny Hill, Three Stooges and The Twilight Zone. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barb Callahan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Ruth Callahan; two nieces, Sherry Callahan and Karen Warren; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Baker and Deloris Warren; and brother-in-law, Gary Callahan. Janet Sue Cunningham Janet Sue (Acker) Cunningham was born on June 13, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert Acker and Joann Acker Rosmanitz and passed away on February 28, 2020 at the age of 58 years, 8 months and 5 days. She married Edward D. Cunningham on September 30, 1995. Janet was an acknowledged Christian and would often have Bible Discussions with her friends for hours at a time. She was a St. Louis, Missouri native, however, she relocated her family to Steelville, Missouri in the mid 90s where she was a stay at home mom and housewife. She enjoyed cooking, camping, floating, and watching her daytime soap stories. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Acker; mother, Joann Acker Rosmanitz; father-in-law, Donald Cunningham; mother-in-law, June Cunningham; three Rainbow babies and a fur baby, Sadie Girl. "Mike" Guess was born June 3, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Leroy "Frank" and Mary (Holland) Guess and passed away on February 22, 2020 at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 19 days. Mike graduated Steelville High School, Class of 1977. He then proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for many years as a school bus driver for Steelville Schools, while serving as a patrolman for the Steelville Police Department, where he retired as Chief of Police. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, and doing security for Bad Boyz fireworks. Mike accepted the Lord as his savior at a young age, but grew closer to the Lord in his later years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy "Frank" Guess, Mary Holland Guess and Frances A. Guess; sister, Beverly Burke; brother, Frankie Guess; son, Kyle Wayne Anderson; and his Rottweiler, Spice Girl. She married Cloyed C. Ketcherside on July 29, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Marita was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Owensville, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, bowling and golfing. In her later years she loved going out to dinner with her group of friends. Karen Julane Williams Karen Julane Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday, November 15, 1941 at Lyons, Kansas to Russell and Martha (nee Anderson) Tappan and passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Karen married Richard Williams on Saturday, September 1, 1962 at Lyons, Kansas. Karen graduated for Wesley School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas in 1962 as a registered nurse. She said that she went into nursing to help people and to take care of people. A profession she did very well, until her health began to decline, and she had to retire in 1998 after 38 years of dedication to others. In her younger years, Karen was a member of the Cuba Tennis League. She loved working in her gardens, both vegetables and flowers. She owned a business called "Paper Dolls" that hung wallpaper and painted. She also owned an ice cream shop called Red Bandana. She never missed a sporting event that her children or grandchildren were part of. She was famous for her Chicken Chow Mein. The last several years, Karen has been fascinated with family history. Traveling to Newbury, Massachusetts to find the cemetery that her ancestors were buried in. She was a devout fan of the Kansas Jayhawk basketball for many years and the last few years she would always listen to St. Louis Cardinal baseball on the radio. And before Karen's health changed, she was a member of the Tri-C Club, Bridge Club and the Cuba United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Martha Tappan; one brother, Arlen Tappan; and grandson, Jeremy Williams. He married Heather Emory on April 24, 2009. Sean enjoyed going to the river and canoeing. He loved the outdoors, whether he was camping or hunting. Sean was a baseball player at younger age on the Lions Club Little League where his parents coached, but in later life he enjoyed watching baseball. Of course, he loved Cardinal baseball and could never get tired of watching them. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Riley Wright.
