Geneva Ethel Ivory
Geneva Ethel Ivory nee Pyatt was born Tuesday, June 21, 1932, at
Cherryville, Missouri, a daughter of the late Jesse Roy Pyatt and
Judy Elizabeth (Harris) Pyatt.
She departed this life Monday, February 28, 2005, at the Des
Peres Hospital, Des Peres, Missouri, at the age of 73 years, 8
months and 7 days.
On June 18, 1955, at St. Charles, Missouri, Geneva was united in
marriage to Robert James Ivory. Two daughters, Vernette and Rebecca
and one son, Donny, were born to this union.
Robert preceded her in death, as did one daughter, Vernette Ellis
and brothers-in-law, Patrick English and Donald Ivory.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter,
Rebecca Basso of St. Charles, Missouri; one son, Donny Ivory and
wife Carisa, also of St. Charles, Missouri; one sister, Imogene
English of Fenton, Missouri; one brother, Dwight Pyatt and wife
Norma of St. Louis, Missouri; sister-in-law and brother-in law,
Evelyn and Al Rossi of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren;
eight great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Geneva Ethel Ivory lay in state 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2,
2005, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, in
the Britton Chapel with Rev. Marvin Callahan officiating.
Committal prayers and interment was in Martin Cemetery,
Cherryville, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Donny Ivory,
Matthew Ellis, David English, Greg English, Terry English, Roger
English, Andrew Westermann, Jr. and Andrew Westermann, Sr.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Britton Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri.
Virginia Eunice Sego
Virginia Eunice Sego nee Myers of Cuba, Missouri was born on
September 4, 1909 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Robert Myers and
Ida Brown Myers and passed away on March 3, 2005 at the Cuba Manor,
Cuba, Missouri at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 29 days.
In 1929 Virginia was united in marriage to Leslie E. Sego. Three
sons, George, Peter and Robert, were born to this union. Virginia
and Leslie were happily married until he preceded her in death on
February 28, 1971.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, one son,
George W. Sego, two brothers, Robert Myers and Pete Myers, and two
sisters, Lena Taylor and Mary Billings.
Virginia has been a lifelong resident of the Cuba area and was a
member of the First Baptist Church.
Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her two
sons, Peter M. Sego and wife Marie and Robert "Bob" Sego and wife
Lucille; daughter-in-law Dolores Sego; two grandchildren, Christina
Sego and Peter Sego; step-grandchildren, Kevin and Michael Young,
Deborah Tarnowski, Brad Taylor, Iris Shane and Gail DeBourge; niece
Charlene Black; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and many
friends.
Virginia was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, sister, aunt, good friend to all who knew her and will
be sadly missed.
Graveside services for Virginia Eunice Sego nee Myers was held on
Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri with Gary Mace officiating. Interment was in the Kinder
Cemetery. All arrangements under the direction of the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
