Della Mae was united in marriage to Stanley L. Baum in1939 and to this union two sons were born. She retired in 1982 from the Shoe Factory in Salem, Missouri after almost 40 years of dedicated service. She was a lifelong member of the Second Baptist Church of Salem, served on the Auxiliary Board for the Salem Memorial Hospital for many years, was the coordinator of the Maledy- Teague reunion for 25 years and always enjoyed gospel music. “Gran” as she has been known for the last many years, treasured the time that she got to spend with her grandchildren. She spent hours and drove many miles to spend time with her “little one” Kayla. Gran was there for dance recitals, softball games, parades, musical concerts and kept her promise and was there for high school graduation. She always dressed to the nine, read her bible daily and believed that family was the most important thing on earth. Paul worked many of his adult years operating heavy equipment building roads and bridges for Oklahoma and Kansas counties. He also, was a rancher in Oklahoma. He had many jobs and seemed to be a jack of all trades. His hobbies were coin collecting, fishing, and hunting. Willard was a logger in the timber industry most of his adult life and worked with Eldon Dunlap for 40 years in the logging business. He also, worked a short time for Woolsey Asphalt. He was a charter member of Ozark Trail Blazers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions, raising horses and horse pulling. She was united in marriage to Pete Mathena and to this union five children were born. Maria was an artist. She loved to paint and draw. She owned and operated Star Kennels and was able to turn this into a profession that she truly enjoyed. She also loved her flower gardens and in particular her rose garden. She and her late husband Pete enjoyed their vegetable gardens. He had a plot of ground and so did Maria. Every summer the competition was on to see who could grow the biggest vegetables and melons. In 1940 she was married to Henry Podoll and to this union, three children were born. Henry preceded her in death. On November 21, 1964, she was married at Hawthorne, California, to Glen Campbell Spotts, who preceded her in death on November 23, 2010. Bernice took great pride in being a Norwegian and of the Lutheran faith all of her life. Family meant so much to her and God had blessed her with three wonderful children. She worked all of her life and retired from Eaton Corporation in 1983. His final venture was the ownership with his wife of Pheasant Acres RV Park in St. James, Missouri where he lived the semi-retirement life of campground host and fisherman as he appreciated the joys of new friendships and daily trout fishing. Throughout his lifetime, Donald was known for the pleasure he found in helping others to experience and love the great outdoors through fishing, hunting, sport shooting, boating and water skiing. On October 27, 1951 in Potosi, Missouri, he married Vivian Taylor and to this union six children were born. Lindell served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He worked for over 19 years in St. Louis, Missouri at the Chevrolet Plant and later retired in July of 1986 from the St. Joe Lead Company. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion in Davisville, Missouri. Lindell liked to fish, hunt, golf or play baseball during his younger days. He also was a bowler and won many trophies for bowling, golfing, playing horseshoes and baseball. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev Perry Lewis officiating. Special music of “I Will Rise” was sung by Cindy Kampeter and other music of “What A Day” and “Old Rugged Cross” was played. Memories were shared by a brother, George Wallen. Committal prayer and interment were in the Shoal Creek Cemetery with full military honors given by the U.S. Army. Casket bearers were Ray Matheny, Bob Brown, Kyle Wallen, Junior Wallen, Cody Wallen, Henry Martin and Terry Martin.
