MO Local Obituaries for the Week of March 14, 2012 Myrl Ruth Breen Myrl Ruth Breen of Bourbon, Missouri was born in the Baden area of St. Louis Missouri on January 8, 1931 to Fredrick and Gertrude (Bauer) Block and passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Myrl attended Beaumont High School and after high school married John Breen on June 11, 1949. They were blessed with ten children and lived in the Walnut park area in St. Louis, Missouri until 1971 when the family moved to Bourbon Missouri and continued to reside in the family home for many years. She worked in the Bourbon School lunchroom for several years and then as a nurses aid in the newborn nursery at the Sullivan Community Hospital. She was a member of the Bourbon Quilting Club and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. Myrl enjoyed new babies, gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting and being with her family. She volunteered at the Bourbon Agape Mission and was a regular Crawford County Election Pollster for many years. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Bourbon, Missouri and then transferred to the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gertrude Block; husband, John Breen; daughters, Deborah Breen and Jacqueline Breen; grandson, Eric Breen; great grandson infants, Trevor and Travis Stroup and daughter-in-law, Tracey Breen. She is survived by eight children, John Frederick Breen of Sullivan, Missouri, Patrick Michael Breen and wife Sharon of Cuba, Missouri, Robert Joseph Breen and wife Jane of Columbia, Missouri, Marcia Sue Lovelace and husband Terry of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Denise Marie Dickey and husband Steve of St. Clair, Missouri, Mary Elizabeth Bouse of St. Louis, Missouri, Maureen Chlipala and husband Mike of Sullivan, Missouri and Janice Marie Crews and husband John of Richmond, Virginia; two sisters, Elaine Van Vorn of St. Louis, Missouri and Judy Greer and husband Bill of Seattle, Washington; 26 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 with the Rev. Father Paul Telken officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Christine Inez Clonts Christine Inez Clonts, 82, of St. James, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in St. James. She was born December 19, 1929 in Knobview (Rosati), Missouri to Joe H. Piazza and Nellie Lucille Ramori Piazza. On April 9, 1950 in Rosati, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lindell Earl Clonts who survives. Christine grew up in Knobview (Rosati), Missouri and moved to St. Louis after high school. She later met her future husband, Lindell, who was from Steelville. They married, lived in Steelville for a few months and then moved to St. Louis where they raised their family. After Lindell retired, they moved to St. James in 1994. Christine grew up in the Catholic faith. When she was young, she loved to dance the “Jitterbug.” Reading, especially old mysteries and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles were her favorite pastimes. She was an excellent cook and always took care of her family’s needs. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 61 years, Lindell Clonts; two sons, Grayling Miles Clonts and wife Kathy of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Lance Lendo Clonts and wife Melissa of Troy, Missouri; one daughter, Margo Lynn Clonts of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Lawrence C. Piazza and wife Mary Ann of Cuba, Missouri; brother-in-law, Emery Clonts and wife Marlene of Steelville, Missouri; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister-in-law, Eileen Clonts Cape and husband Gerald; and seven brother-in-laws, Edwin “Buck” Clonts and wife Susie, Estel Clonts, Lester Clonts, Glenn Clonts, Raymond Clonts, Darrell Clonts and wife Donna and Paul Clonts. Evelyn J. Coffman Evelyn J. Coffman, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri was born at St. Louis, Missouri on August 25, 1917 to Kames T. and Pearl (McCrery) Koonce and passed away at Mary Mount Manor at Eureka, Missouri on, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 94 years. On January 16, 1932 she was united in marriage to Otha Coffman at Jonesboro, Illinois and to this marriage eight children were born. Evelyn and Otha came to Sullivan, Missouri to make their home in 1975. Evelyn continued to be a devoted homemaker; she greatly loved her family and grandchildren. She was fond of gardening and flowers, reading and sewing. Evelyn also enjoyed visiting with her many friends. In 2005, ill health caused her to move to Mary Mount Manor in Eureka, Missouri where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kames and Pearl Koonce; husband, Otha in April of 1982; four brothers, James, Richard, Otha, Jr. and Lester Ray Coffman and one grandchild, Phillip. She is survived by two sons, Frank Coffman and wife Betty of the state of Illinois and Greg Coffman and wife Kathy of Leasburg, Missouri; four daughters, Jean Burkett and husband Ron of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Mary Bouleigh and husband Eric of the state of California, Marsha Coffman of Villa Ridge, Missouri, and Pam Miller Satterfield and husband Jeff of Villa Ridge, Missouri; one brother, James T. Dianna Sue Cook Dianna Sue (Stotler) Cook of Rolla, Missouri was born on October 16, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri to Kenneth and Mary L. (Strosnider) Stotler and passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at the age of 49 years. Dianna was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her father, Kenneth L. Fields of Steelville, Missouri was born October 2, 1919 in Bernie, Missouri to Noland G. and Elsie Mae Tanner Williams and passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Gibbs Care Center at the age of 92 years. On May 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to William Orville Fields. Dale was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church. She sang in the choir and was very involved in her church. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and keeping a manicured lawn. For several years she worked at the Crawford County Extension Office and later at First Community National Bank. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noland and Elsie Williams; her husband, Bill Fields in 1993; one daughter, Lois Peggy Wallis; two brothers, Bloyce Williams and Delmar Williams; and one grandson-in-law, Sam Halbert. William Charles “Bill” Glaese William Charles “Bill” Glaese, Sr. of Springfield, Missouri formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born Monday, May 20, 1935 at St. Louis, Missouri to Otto and Ivy M. (nee Glassey) Glaese and passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Texarkana, Texas at the age of 76 years. Bill was united in marriage to Emma Caroline Mullen on January 13, 1960 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Cuba and to this union four children were born. Bill retired as a Sector Field Office Manager in November 1990 from the FAA after 34 years of dedicated service. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from March of 1954 to March of 1958. In his younger years he enjoyed playing golf, coaching his sons’ ball teams, hunting, fishing and working in the yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ivy Glaese and one son, Brian Scott Glaese. Ellis Earl Gray, Sr. Ellis Earl Gray, Sr. was born February 21, 1928 in Keysville, Missouri and passed away March 6, 2012 in Salem, Missouri at the age of 84 years. On May 5, 1949, Ellis Gray, Sr. was united in marriage to Joyce Parrett and to this union three children were born. After her death, Ellis married Betty Lou Summers on January 22, 1994. Ellis enjoyed fishing, baseball, farming, gardening, watching his birds and he loved to travel. Ellis worked many years as a licensed pharmacist. He was a member of the Dry Fork Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Edna Adeline (Warfel) Gray; first wife, Joyce (Parrett) Gray; and sister, Helen Howdeshell. Beth Hamilton Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Hamilton of Sullivan, Missouri was born on March 21, 1936 in Cuba, Missouri, to George Edward and Frances Viola (Hansell) Bayless and passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at the age of 75 years. “Beth” as she was known worked as a waitress all of her life, and worked at the Bobber for over 15 years until it closed.  When not working, she enjoyed camping, watching baseball, basketball, football, and NASCAR. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, George Edward Bayless, Jr., Robert Andrew Bayless, Charles William Bayless, Juanita Hamilton, Leona Kozan and Norma Hamilton. Prior to living at St. John’s Skilled Nursing, he lived at Stubblefield Retirement Center in Cuba, Missouri.
