Setzer and Ovie McDermott Setzer and left from this life on Friday, March 10, 2006 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 26 days. Almeda was united in marriage to Kenneth Howdeshell on April 19, 1944 and to this union four children were born: Ron, Steve, Keith and Loretta. Almeda was married to Howard Henry on November 15, 1989 at Lake Tahoe, California. Almeda was married to Willard Campbell on January 2, 1998 at Branson, Missouri. Almeda was a Sunday school teacher, she enjoyed bowling, camping, swimming, word games, reading and writing poetry. Almeda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, step mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Almeda is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ovie Setzer; two husbands, Kenneth Howdeshell and Howard Henry; two brothers, Granville and Bob Setzer and a host of other relatives. Those who survive to mourn her passing is her husband, Willard Campbell; three sons, Ron and wife Melinda Howdeshell of St. Charles, Missouri, Steve and wife Barbara Howdeshell of St Charles, Missouri and Keith and wife Janice Howdeshell of Cuba, Missouri; one daughter, Loretta and husband Joe Doggett of Wentzville, Missouri. Ten step children, Will and wife Jerilyn Campbell, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Anita and husband Ron Fritzmeyer of Eureka, Missouri, Bruce and wife Patti Campbell of Cuba, Missouri, Carla and husband Jim Metzler of Stephenville, Texas, Keith and wife Rita Campbell of St. Louis, Missouri, Marty and wife Terri Campbell of Union, Missouri, Mary Kay and husband Fred Wiesehan of St. Louis, Missouri, Lindel and wife Paula Campbell of Victoria, British Columbia, Howard Nolan Henry of Seattle, Washington and James and wife Cindy Henry. One brother, Bill and wife Pat Setzer; two sisters, Bonnie and husband Gene Bolling and Francis and husband Barney Barnhill; sister-in-law, Gloria Clase. Thirty-seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Sunday, March 12 from 4-8 p.m. at the Britton Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral service was held Monday, March l3 at 2 p.m. at the Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Leroy Bryant officiating. Music was provided by Joe and Shirley Weber. Burial followed in Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri. All arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Warren J. Frazee Warren J. Frazee, age 81, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Gibbs Care Center. He was born Monday, February 2, 1925 in Flora, Illinois, the son of Randolph and Louise Regina Hodde Frazee. In 1946 he married Evahdene Myers who preceded him in death. In 1956 he married Betty Dement. In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his children, Richard Frazee and wife Lori of Creve Coeur, Missouri, Linda Perkins and husband Paul of Steelville, Missouri, Mike Stout and wife Mary of Cuba, Missouri, Donna Stibor and husband Jim of Fenton, Missouri, Gary Frazee and wife Sandy of High Ridge, Missouri, Lisa White and husband Paul of St. Louis, Missouri, Laurie Baumann and husband Junior of Ballwin, Missouri. Eighteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Carney and husband Russell, and Marguerite Conway. He was preceded in death by one daughter Karen Dean Frazee; one granddaughter Melissa White and three sisters Shirley Frazee, Helen Lane and Genevieve Wright. Mr. Frazee served in the U.S. Navy from August 1943 to December 1945. He retired from Brown Shoe Company after 34 years being office manager for 19 years. He was a member of Steelville Presbyterian Church and a member of the VFW. Funeral services for Warren Frazee were held Thursday, March 9, 2006 with the Revs. Jerry Beers and Mary Arnold officiating. Special music was by grandson Mark Perkins singing "How Great Thou Art" and Mary Arnold singing "Amazing Grace" with Delores Bell as organist. Serving as casket bearers were Paul Perkins, Jim Stibor, Paul White, Junior Baumann, Mark Perkins, Scott Perkins, Daniel White and David White with committal prayers and burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy in the Steelville Cemetery. Military Honor Guard for the visitation was provided by the Steelville VFW and the American Legion. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Louisa J. Hoss Louisa J. Hoss of Cuba was born December 7, 1919 at Mansfield, Illinois to the union of Franklin H. Wyatt and Gertie Ann (nee Berry) Wyatt and left from this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 1 day. Louisa was united in marriage to William F. Hoss on September 30, 1942 at St. Charles, Missouri. William passed away April 28, 1985. Louisa enjoyed reading, horses, horseback riding, attending to her garden, loved the outdoors, loved and admired her special animals. Louisa worked during WW II in the small arms factory in St. Louis. She received her hairdresser licenses and was a beautician for over 30 years before her and Bill moved to the country. Louisa truly enjoyed being retired. She was a member of the Cuba Chapter #398 O.E.S. for many years. Louisa was a loving wife, daughter, sister, step mother, aunt, cousin and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Louisa is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Frank and Gertie Wyatt; one sister, Kate Weathers; one brother, James Wyatt; one nephew, Terry Weathers and a host of other relatives. Those who are left to mourn her passing are her step daughter, Wilma Cline; four nieces, Pat Stubblefield, Audrey Nielsen, Mary Lou Wakley and Shirley Morgan and a very special friend Juanita Vaughn. Visitation was held Saturday, March 11 from noon to 2 p.m. with a 1:30 p.m. Eastern Star Service by the Cuba Chapter #398. Darlene Kaemmerer Darlene Kaemmerer was born April 1, 1936 in Wardell, Missouri to the union of William and Mamie Marie (nee Stephenson) Buck and left from this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 7 days. Darlene was united in marriage to Donald A. Kaemmerer, Sr. on May 30, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union seven children were born: Anna Marie, Donald Adrian, Jr., Christopher, Kathryn L., John R., William J. and Barbara J. Darlene enjoyed horses, horseback riding and crocheting. She was a homemaker and after spending many years in South St. Lotus, her and Don retired to the country to enjoy their retirement together. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8920 Ladies Auxiliary. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie; four brothers, Gerald Buck, Verley McCord, Jr., Charles and Vernon McCord; four sisters, Carolyn Leong, Jestel Johnson, Christine Green and Ann McCord. Those who are left to mourn her passing are her husband Donald; seven children, Anna Marie (Tom) Temple, Donald A. (Terri Kaye) Kaemmerer, Jr., Christopher Kaemmerer, Kathryn L. Meek, John R. LaDonna Carol Mitchell LaDonna Carol (nee Akers) Mitchell of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on March 3, 2006 at Belgrade, Missouri, having reached the age of 58 years, 8 months and 26 days. She was born on June 7, 1947 in Belgrade, Missouri, a daughter of Beulah Mae (nee Britton) Akers and the late Charles Fred Akers. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Dean Akers. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. LaDonna gave her heart to the Lord in 1955 at Temple Baptist Church of Belgrade and she spent her life devoted to that journey. She was affiliated with the Gateway Gospel Music Group and a member of the Breton Creek Baptist Church of Potosi. She loved to crochet and sew, she loved painting and traveling, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her daughter, Denise Rene Allen and fiancé Christopher Reed of Potosi, Missouri; her mother, Beulah Akers of Belgrade, Missouri; three brothers, Elmer Akers and his wife Kathy of Potosi, Missouri, Delmer Akers and his wife Donna of Belgrade, Missouri, Glen Akers and his wife Karen of Belgrade, Missouri; sister-in-law, Peggy Akers of St. Louis, Missouri; special nephew, Brad Akers of Belgrade, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Elmer Akers, Delmer Akers, Glen Akers, Danny Joe Dennis, Jeff Akers and Scott Akers. Honorary pallbearers were Cody, Brian, Ryan and Travis Akers. Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri. William "Bill" Scott William "Bill" Scott was born September 17, 1951 and grew up around the St. James, Missouri area and passed away March 4, 2006 at the age of 54 years. Bill was united in marriage to Terry nee Starks September 24, 1992. They made their home in Steelville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Scott nee Kelley; father, Earl Scott and one brother, James Scott. He is survived by his wife, Terry nee Starks; one sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Bob Strothcamp, Union, Missouri; daughter, Sarah Scott, Wood River, Illinois; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Shawn Retzer. One grandson, Shawn and one granddaughter, Amanda, Biloxi, Mississippi. One stepson and wife, Mitch and Christie Starks, Cuba, Missouri. One step daughter and husband, Cindy and Noel Hammock, Leadwood, Missouri; mother-in-law, Liz Long, Steelville, Missouri. Six step grandsons, Ryan, Adam and Jacob Starks, Benjamin, Wesley and Caleb Hammock; many other relatives and friends. Private family viewing was at the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James, Missouri. Funeral services were March 11, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Flat Grove Cemetery, Highway V, St. James, Missouri with Pastor Jack Shepherd officiating. Memorial service was held immediately after at Bible Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri. All arrangements were under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri. James Leslie Smith James Leslie Smith was born December 2, 1935 to the union of Leslie and Ruby Evelyn (Grimitt) Smith at Alderson, West Virginia. He departed this life after a long illness on February 23, 2006 at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 21 days. James was a retired machinist who was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith of Millberry, Ohio; one daughter, Annie Herman of Toledo, Ohio and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles Smith of Chicago, Illinois, John L. Smith and wife Becky of Narrows, Virginia, Mary Pritchard of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Martha Martin and husband Clint of Cherryville, Missouri. He was proceeded in death by his parents; one son, Leslie Smith; a brother, Aaron Smith and a brother-in-law, James Pritchard. James was cremated on February 24, 2006 and interment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery of Alderson, West Virginia at a later date. George M. Turner Jr. George M. Turner Jr., age 59, of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of Granite City, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at St. John's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born June 11, 1946 in Granite City, Illinois, the son of George Melvin Sr. and Thelma Louise Vincent Turner. He is survived by three daughters, Heather Romanick, Chasity Turner and Tonya Turner; one brother Larry D. Turner of Granite City, Illinois; five sisters, Mary Woolsey, Juanita Downing, Anita Miller, Toni Tanner and Wendy White, of Steelville, Missouri, whom George had made his home with over the past four years. George had worked in the St. Louis area before his health prevented him from doing so. Private family burial service will be in Illinois. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri. Dean Martin Waters Dean Martin Waters of Sullivan, Missouri was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1989 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Glenn Edward Waters, Sr. and Sherri Lynn Graddy Waters. He passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006 in Bourbon, Missouri from the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 16 years, 6 months and 4 days. Dean was a student working towards achieving his GED. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Bourbon, Missouri. He enjoyed listening to music and building model cats. Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Velma Waters and a half brother Donnie Waters. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving parents, Glenn and Sherri Waters of Sullivan, Missouri; grandparents, Dean and Pearl Graddy of Bourbon, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Glenn E. Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born March 29, 1920 in Cuba, Missouri to the union of James William and Mary Jane (nee Connell) Adair and left from this life on Friday, March 3, 2006 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 5 days. Virginia was united in marriage to Ernest G. Williams on July 30, 1935 in Rolla, Missouri and to this union four children were born: James, Morris, Florence and Rosemary. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, flowers, plants and her dog Missy. She is preceded in death by her parents, James William and Mary Jane Adair; husband, Ernest G. Williams; four brothers, Joe, Seth, Arthur and Austin and two sisters, Dorothy Bryant and Julie Smith.
