Willard Belmar
Willard “Willie” Belmar of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday,
October 12, 1935 in Brunot, Missouri to Robert Elno Belmar and Ava Melissa
Sinclair Belmar and passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the age of
74 years, 4 months and 27 days.
Willie married Ethel Irene Meade on December 23, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri
and to this union three daughters were born.
Willie was part-owner of the Mohawk Auto Parts Store in St. Louis, Missouri
and later worked at Arnold Auto Glass Co. before moving to Cuba, Missouri in
1985. He then owned Belmar Glass Co. for 20 years before retiring. His
hobbies were fishing, hunting, and camping. He recently made a profession
of faith in Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ava Belmar; brother,
Robert Belmar; sister, Charlotte Essmuller, son-in-law, Roger Vass;
sisters-in-law, Dorothy Meade and Doris Meade; brother-in-law, Richard
Turnbough and nephew Danny Meade.
He is survived by his wife Ethel of Cuba, Missouri; daughters Patricia (Jeff)
Theros of Leasburg, Missouri, Deanna (Jeff) Bailey of Huntingdon, Tennessee
and Karen Vass of Round Rock, Texas; brothers, Ronald (Laura) Belmar of Des
Arc, Missouri and Tom Belmar of Mokane, Missouri; sisters, Saundra (Bill)
Penovich of Arnold, Missouri and LaDonna Turnbough of Imperial, Missouri;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Orvil (Fern) Meade, Bill Meade, Frank
(Caren) Meade, Alice (Robert) Mendoza, all of Cuba, Missouri, Lois Belmar
of Wildwood, Missouri and Richard Essmuller of Kimmswick, Missouri;
grandchildren, Rachel, Kathryn, Steven, Hannah, Dane, Ian, Joe, Nicole,
and Courtney; great grandchildren, Teryn and Savannah; other relatives and
friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Anna Marie Benz
Anna Marie Benz of Stony Hill, Missouri, was born in Iron Mountain, Missouri
on December 22, 1920 to Walter and Blanche Elizabeth (Snow) Nash and passed
away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at her residence at the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage to Edgar August Benz on May 19, 1956 at Hernando,
Mississippi.
She was a member of St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill. She was a
homemaker and also had her own beauty salon next to her home during the
1980’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Blanche Nash; her
husband, Edgar; five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Jeanette Strosnider and husband Jim of
Bourbon, Missouri, Billie Close and wife Julie of Hermann, Missouri, Maxine
Owens and husband Bill of Russellville, Kentucky, LaVada Sanders of
Owensville, Missouri, Connie Wiles and husband Mark of Sullivan, Missouri,
Susan Czecshin and husband Sonny of Bay, Missouri, Sharon Meyer and husband
Mark of Hermann, Missouri, Judy Fritzemeyer and husband Jerry of Owensville,
Missouri and Sandra Lackman and husband Keith of Hermann, Missouri;
23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at the Toedtmann
& Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.
Funeral services were at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann,
Missouri at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, with Rev. Glenn Hollander
officiating.
Burial was at the St. James Cemetery, Stony Hill, Missouri.

Leo Mario Cardetti
Leo Mario Cardetti of St. James, Missouri was born January 12, 1929 in
Rosati, Missouri, to Ricardo Mario and Maria Secunda (Guidicini) Cardetti
and passed away March 13, 2010 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
Leo grew up in Rosati where his parents owned the local general store, as
he grew, he too found a knack for working in the store and visiting with
the local patrons, mostly immigrants like his own parents. Proud of his
Italian heritage, Leo was also known as the local “historian” among the
community. If you needed information about Rosati and the people that lived
there at one time or another, you would go see Leo, and he was quick to pull
out most any information you might need from cards he kept on file in his
office with names and specific dates, newspaper clippings and a notepad he
carried in his front pocket. Leo attended high school in St. James and was
a graduate of the class of 1947; he then attended The Missouri School of
Mines in Rolla where he graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in
1952. He was a proud member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. Leo was an avid
fan and supporter of St. James High School sports and a fan of the St. Louis
Cardinals. He was one of the founding members of the St. James Sports Club
and a charter member of the St. James Golf Club. Leo was a very successful
entrepreneur, whose portfolio consisted of a furniture and appliance store,
liquor store, restaurants, cleaning supply distributorship, and a flag
company.
Leo was known as the flag expert, you could go into Cardetti’s Flag Store
and he could tell you the exact dimensions, color, how to fly it, when to
fly it, and if he didn’t have it, he would get it. Leo’s flag business
shipped flags all over the country.
In 2002 the St. James Chamber of Commerce presented Leo with the
prestigious Lifetime of Achievement Award.
Although Leo never had children of his own, his step children and his many
nieces and nephews were an important part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Maria Cardetti;
brothers, Joseph (Peno) and Richard Cardetti; sister, Anna Donati and niece,
Marcia Cardetti.
He is survived by his step children, Carmen Englis and Jacqie Greig, both
of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Sophie Bodine of St. James, Missouri; step-
granddaughter, Allie Englis; nieces and nephews, Sara Spencer, Mary Linse,
Rita Esterly, Richard Cardetti, Linda Turner, Joe Cardetti, Janet Taylor,
Susan Brawner, and Carol Berger; special friends, Ed, Kathy, Buddy and
Michelle Pearson; 22 great nieces and nephews; eight great great nieces and
nephews; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the St. James Chapel of the
James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James, Missouri, from 5-8 p.m. with a Prayer
Service at 5 p.m.
Funeral service was Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the St. Anthony Catholic
Church in Rosati, Missouri at 11 a.m. with Father Charles Pardee
officiating.
Interment was in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.

St. James, Missouri.
Etta G. Elkins
Etta G. Elkins of Columbia, Illinois, was born June 20, 1933, in Cadet,
Missouri, to Roy E. and Catherine (Skaggs) Cain and passed away on
March 14, 2010 at Columbia Convalescent Center, Columbia, Illinois at the
age of 76 years.
She was married to Joe H. Elkins on November 21, 1951, in St. Louis,
Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Catherine Cain; a
daughter, Patricia Ann Elkins, five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Clara (Aaron) Arras of Columbia, Illinois,
Joe (Anna) Elkins of St. Louis, Missouri, and Phyllis (Carl) Montgomery of
St. Louis, Missouri, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brothers,
Leroy, Raymond, and Paul Cain; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Lawlor
Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at the
Lawlor Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Melton, officiating.
Interment followed in the St. Trinity Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Lawlor Funeral Home in Columbia,
Illinois.
Noel Kermit England
Noel Kermit England of Fenton, Missouri was born on Friday, December 22, 1922
in Cherryville, Missouri to Lytle Franklin and Tressie Ada Martin England and
passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 14
days.
Kermit served honorably in the United States Army from February 3, 1943 to
March 29, 1946 during WWII.
He married Marie J. Farrar on June 10, 1950 at Tower Grove Baptist Church,
St. Louis, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born.
He retired from Laclede Gas Co. after 33 years as an installation service
foreman. His hobbies were remodeling and making improvements to their home.
He also enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens. He was an avid
fan of the St. Louis Cardinals ball team. He accepted the Lord and was
baptized June 30, 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lytle Franklin and Tressie England;
brothers, Lytle Junior England, Glen England and Jack England; sisters, Ina
Halbert and Nina Waller and brother-in-law Kenneth Otto Farrar.
He is survived by his wife Marie England of Fenton, Missouri; daughter, Diana
(Bruce) Boston of Fenton, Missouri; brothers, Curtis England of Steelville,
Missouri and Loftus England of Fenton, Missouri; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, William Austin Farrar of Orange County, California, Robert
(Virginia) Farrar of Wildwood, Missouri, Rosemary (Robert) Callahan of
Davisville, Missouri, Mary Lou England of Steelville, Missouri and Betty
Farrar of Durant, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral service
11 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson and Elder Robert Farrar officiating.
Burial was at the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri, with full
military honors.

Missouri.
Nicholas “Nick” Christopher Helton
Nicholas “Nick” Christopher Helton, of Rosebud, Missouri, was born on
December 3, 1988 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert L. Helton, Jr. and
Kathleen M. (nee Parker) Helton and passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010,
at the age of 21 years.
He was a 2008 Sullivan High School graduate. Nick enjoyed working in
concrete with his father for Terry Schatz Construction. He was a hard worker
and enjoyed working with others. He was known as a quiet and very likeable
individual. Nick enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting deer and
fishing. He loved to tinker and could fix almost anything.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Betty and Robert
Helton.
He is survived by his father, Robert Helton, Jr. of Sullivan, Missouri; his
mother, Kathleen Helton of Rosebud, Missouri; brother, Bob Helton III and
wife Sarah of Bourbon, Missouri; three sisters, Angie Henderson and husband
Dale of Rosebud, Missouri, Samantha Helton of St. Louis, Missouri and Moriah
Helton of Rosebud, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia
Parker of Rosebud, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at
Sullivan Christian Church with Grady O’Dell officiating.
Interment was in the Holy Martyrs of Japan Cemetery.

Steven Dale Horn
Steven Dale Horn, of St. James, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri, on
November 24, 1958 to Donald and Elise (Moneymaker) Horn and passed away
Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the
age of 51 years.
Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1982-1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elise Horn and his
sister, Susan Horn.
He is survived by his companion of the previous nine years, Mary Anne Greig
of the home; three children, Nicole Marie Horn, Virginia Lee Horn, and
Wesley Dean Horn, all of Rolla, Missouri; one sister, Cathy Steckel of
Foristell, Missouri; three grandchildren; two nieces; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the
Null & Son Funeral Home, Rolla, Missouri, with Military Honors at 2 p.m. at
the funeral home.
Arrangements under the direction of the Null & Son Funeral Home Rolla,
Missouri.
Marsha J. King
Marsha J. King, of St. Clair, Missouri, was born on February 25, 1949, in
Sacramento, California to Marshall and Barbara (nee Sanchez) Feller and
passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the age of 61 years.
She and her husband, the late Timothy King, opened up their home and
adopted a daughter, Rachel King.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Dondero of Sullivan, Missouri;
a daughter, Rachel King of Texas; three brothers, Steve Hughes and wife
Martha of Union, Missouri, Mark Hughes of Leasburg, Missouri and Matthew
Hughes and wife Michelle of St. Clair, Missouri.
Services were private.
Arrangements under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Robert D. Lamb
Robert D. “Bob” Lamb, Sr., of Stover, Missouri, formerly of Rolla, Missouri,
was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 26, 1946 to Albert and Carol
(Fulton) Lamb and passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the St. John’s
Hospital in Springfield at the age of 64 years.
On May 6, 1967 he married Vicki Wagner and they were later blessed with two
children.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he served as a letter carrier
through the St. James Post Office. Bob was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
He had joint memberships at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla and Peace
Lutheran Church in Greenview, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Carol Lamb; his brother,
Terry Lamb and his sister, Barbara Light.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki of the home; daughter, Renee D. Miller
and husband Donnie of St. James, Missouri; son, Robert D. Lamb Jr. of Rolla,
Missouri; one grandson, Ryan D. Miller of St. James, Missouri; two sisters,
Pat Kelly of St. James, Missouri and Kathy Tyler and husband Terry of
Woodruff, South Carolina; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Redeemer
Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Redeemer
Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri with Rev. Stuart Pepper officiating.
Interment followed in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Missouri.
Virginia Helen Pyatt
Virginia Helen Pyatt (nee Hopple) of Steelville, Missouri was born
November 18, 1910 in Jefferson County, Missouri to Emit Hopple and Bertha
(Leonard) Hopple and passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center
in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 99 years.
She was married to Ernest Lloyd Pyatt.
Virginia was a faithful member of the Cherryville Church of God for several
years. In earlier days, she enjoyed quilting and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emit and Bertha Hopple; her
husband, Ernest; one son, Robert Stevenson; three brothers, Emmitt Hopple,
Clyde Hopple and Raymond Hopple; and two sisters, Tilly Marcee and
Myrtle Shoatz.
She is survived by four sons, Lawrence Stevenson and wife Kathryn and
Charles Marcee all of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Archie Rulo of Richmond,
Virginia and Ray Hubbs and wife Virginia of St. Louis, Missouri; two
daughters, Rosemary Hastings of Fruithurst, Alabama and Dorothy Hopple
of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Alice Gannon of Belleville, Illinois;
numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and four great great
grandchildren; special friends, Sandy Martin and Richi Martin of Steelville,
Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville,
Missouri.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. on March 10, 2010 at
the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. James
Callahan officiating. Special music of “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged
Cross” was played.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Luebbering Citizens Community
Cemetery in Grubville, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Wayne Delaney, Scott Marcee, Sam Hogan, Nathan
Schwartze, Richard Martin, Dennis Cox, Jason Payne and Tom Lortz.

Steelville, Missouri.
Clarence Leo Williams
Clarence Leo Williams of House Springs, Missouri was born March 7, 1942 in
Leslie, Missouri, to Oscar W. and Ida Lea (nee Sing) Williams and passed
away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at De Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 68 years and 3 days.
Clarence was an assembler and repairman for Chrysler and a member of UAW
Local 110. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially camping, hunting,
fishing, farming and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ida Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (nee Payne) Williams of House Springs,
Missouri; four children, Walter (Pamela) Williams of Rolla, Missouri,
Janice Williams of House Springs, Missouri, Dennis (Angel) Williams of
High Ridge, Missouri and Michael Williams of House Springs, Missouri; three
grandchildren, Jennifer, Cordell and Ryan; five siblings, Arlean (Cornell)

Interment was Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Steelville Cemetery,
Steelville, Missouri.
