MO Local Obituaries for the Week of March 18, 2020 Anna Marie Bonner Anna Marie Bonner (nee Hewkin) was born October 7, 1925 in Davisville, Missouri to Clifford John and Opal Leah Martin Hewkin and passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 94 years, 5 month and 3 days. On November 20, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri Marie married George Henry Bonner. Marie had attended Cherryville First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed entertaining the Pucky Huddle girls. She loved living on the farm and taking care of the cows, gardening, growing beautiful flowers, baking pies, sewing and taking care of her dog. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Opal Hewkin; husband, Henry Bonner; one son, George Ronald "Ronnie" Bonner, two brothers, Herman (Violet) Hewkin and Johnny Eugene Hewkin; brothers-in-law, Loren Bonner, Roy Bonner and Thomas "Earl" (Marchell) Bonner; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Batz (Ralph) Haufle and Lucy (Ben) Pasley; and great grandson, Jacob Bartola Solano. She is survived by her son, John Reed (Kathy) Bonner of Catawissa, Missouri; two daughters, Jo Anna Bonner of Union, Missouri and Deborah Leah Bonner of Davisville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tracy Lynn (Oscar) Tirado, Charles Reed (Kelly) Bonner, Joan Kristin Solano, Sean (Ashley) Bonner, John Michael Bonner, Faith Hickelheim and Hope Lambert; 11 great grandchildren, Lukas Oliver, Aamanda Oliver, Tyler Michael Hyde, Elisabeth Bonner, Landon Bonner, Angel Bonner, Layla Bonner, Casey Smith, Hollie Bone, Sam Davis and Bailey Davis; five great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 with Pastor James Burrus officiating. Special music of "Take my Hand Precious Lord," "In the Garden," "What a Wonderful World" and "Amazing Grace" was played. A poem "I'll be there" was read by Hope Lambert and "To Those Whom I love" was read by Ashley Bonner. Sharing memories was Landon Bonner. Thomas Lee Mull Thomas Lee Mull of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, April 12, 1947 in Granite City, Illinois to Charles Thomas and Helen Evelyn Smith Mull and passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 23 days. Thomas served his country honorably in the United States Army and Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service he returned to Cuba, Missouri where he owned and operated Tom & Sons Towing/Auto Body Repair Company for over 30 years. He was a member for several years at the Cuba VFW Post #7147. He loved to deer hunt, fish and participate in turkey shoots. Thomas was a talented auto body repairman and was also, proud of his military service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Mull; brother-in-law, Rodney Brown; great niece, Alyssa Nicole Brown; and great nephew, Jeffery Dwight Harris. Velita Rose Padgett Velita Rose Padgett (nee Fulliam) of St. Clair, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born July 6, 1959 in Cuba, Missouri to Paul and Carolyn Carey Fulliam and passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 1 day. On September 6, 1988 she married James "Jim" Robert Padgett. Velita attended the Lighthouse Church in Viburnum, Missouri and Rivers of Life in Steelville, Missouri for several years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Carolyn Fulliam. She is survived by her husband of almost 32 years, Jim Padgett of St. Clair, Missouri; one son, Daniel "Danny" (Chris) Sanders of Viburnum, Missouri; two step daughters, Melissa Padgett and Sheri Padgett, both of Eugene, Oregon; two brothers, Matthew Fulliam of Gerald, Missouri and Faron (Dani) Fulliam of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters, Loretta (Jacob) Shoemake and Pauline (Dave) LeBlanc, all of Steelville, Missouri and Cleta (Jim) Hudson of Republic, Misosuri; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. On June 28, 2014 he married Brittany (Fogelman) Smith. Matthew graduated from Drury University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with certification to teach K through 9th grade. He taught middle school and junior high mathematics for the Richland R-4 School District as well as serving as the head high school track coach. The Richland Bear Track Team dedicated this season in his honor. Among his personal interests was being an avid video gamer and enjoying playing with his young daughters. Anna Mae married Eugene "Gene" Vance on July 23, 1955 at Shoal Creek, Missouri. Anna Mae had attended Lookout Assembly at Czar, Missouri for many years. She worked for several years as a cook in Viburnum, Missouri restaurants and at Eagle Hurst. She was known for good cooking and her fried pies and chicken and dumplings were always enjoyed by the family. She enjoyed making a garden and tending to her flowers.
