MO Local Obituaries for the Week of March 21, 2018 Jacob "Jake" Scott Corson Jacob "Jake" Scott Corson of Bourbon, Missouri was born on October 7, 1987 to Tammy Stough and Rick Miller and passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the age of 30 years. He attended Sullivan schools. Jake was raised by and carried the name of his step-father, Bill Corson. Jake was employed at Meramec Caverns and the Reptile Ranch in Stanton, Missouri. He had fought a long battle with drug addiction. Prior to his passing, Jake was extremely proud to have been sober for eight months, about to start a new job and getting his life back on track. Jake enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid reader. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Stough. Donald "Don" Lee Dillon Donald "Don" Lee Dillon was born May 22, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Mary Louise (Koeberlein) and Maurice Anthony Dillon and passed away on March 3, 2018 at the age of 85 years. He spent his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Leasburg, Missouri in 1946. He graduated from Bourbon High School in 1950. He joined the National Guard and served for 12 years. In 1954 he married Shirley Ann Land. He was always grateful that his work was in his hometown, which allowed for more time and games with all his children.Don purchased the Roedemeier Garage from his employer, Oscar Roedemeier, and operated this garage as Dillon Auto Repair continuously since 1963. He was a AAA road service contractor for 43 years, 24 hours a day and declined additional contracts. He kept his own vehicles in excellent shape, so Shirley would a lways recite this, as one always heard, "The shoe cobbler's kids may go without shoes but our cars were ready to go." In his earlier years, Don loved to horseback ride, to fish from his bass boat or from a canoe with friends, to hunt, and to target shoot. In recent years he has been an ardent bicyclist. He and Shirley have ridden the Katy Trail across the state both ways, have taken their bikes out of state for many rides in Colorado, and have ridden in several other states. He loved studying the behavior of the birds, and they could depend on him to fill the feeders with the many gifts of bird food from his family. Don loved to travel; he and Shirley visited all 50 of the United States. His favorite place to visit was Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise and Maurice Dillon; and two sisters, Agnes Ellen Dillon and Carolyn (Dillon) Lockowitz. She was the tenth out of 14 children and lived most of her childhood years in Portageville, Missouri. She lived in Cuba, Missouri while raising her children and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she lived her remaining years. She attended Twin Rivers Worship Center and worked as a caregiver for Nurses for You, Inc. Her favorite pasttime was being with her children, her grandbabies and her beloved dog, Bailey. She attended Sullivan School District and graduated with the Class of 2005. Nikki worked as a dietary aide at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital and Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, Missouri. Nikki lived life to the fullest, through the simplest pleasures. It didn't take much to put a smile on her face. She enjoyed kicking back and watching Netflix with a bowl of snacks, crafting, hanging out with her family and most importantly, taking care of the kids. She did not have any children of her own but loved making memories with them. Nikki was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others. Patricia, fondly called Patsy, was united in marriage to Billy D. Robinson on Christmas Day, December 25, 1952 in Bourbon, Missouri. They celebrated 65 wonderful years together this past Christmas. She was employed by South Western Bell, currently known as AT&T, as a service representative, for 20 years until she retired. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She loved to paint, research genealogy and tend her gardens. She enjoyed writing and authored two books and numerous poems. Patricia's love for God extended to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always had her arms extended for hugs and kisses. Many years ago, she was baptized, in the name of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alma Halfaker; two brothers, Dwight Halfaker and Terry Halfaker; and son-in-law, Robert Rose. Douglas "Doug" Hillard Thomason Douglas "Doug" Hillard Thomason of Bourbon, Missouri was born on September 11, 1948 to James E. and Marylee Evans Thomason in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 69 years. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Doug was very patriotic and proud of his service to his country. He traveled around the country and lived and worked in nearly every state. He drove a truck for many years, worked as a security guard, on a shrimp boat as a cook in Louisiana and for 20 plus years, lived and worked for J.R. Dunn as a ceiling installer in Paulsbo, Washington. Doug suffered from Post Tramatic Stress Disorder, however he never let it keep him down. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and adult coloring which relieved his stress. Doug had made his home for the past year and a half with his niece, Becky and her husband Steven. He enjoyed the solitude of living in the country. Doug was a lifelong member of the VFW Sullivan Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marylee Thomason Bustler; step-father, Frank Bustler; brother, John E.
