Nolting Kermit William Nolting was born on September 3, 1922 in Gerald, MO to John Nolting and Anna Lambrecht Nolting, and passed away at his home in Cuba, MO on March 11, 2000 at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 8 days. On March 15, 1957 Kermit was united in marriage to Emma Marie Mash and to this union one daughter was born. Kermit moved his family to Cuba from St. Louis in 1973. Kermit loved the outdoors, and particularly liked to fish. He was a landscape gardener for University of Missouri in Rolla, until his retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 brothers, George, Arthur, Almond, Floyd, and Lawrence Nolting. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his dear wife Emma Nolting and their daughter Patty Nolting of Cuba, MO; 4 sisters, Alma Vanleer of St. Clair, MO, Eileen Kolling of Leslie, MO, Florence Kellogg and husband Harry of St. Louis, MO, and Viola Sickendick of St. Louis, MO. Two brothers, Roy Nolting and wife Sue of St. Louis, MO, and Olin Nolting and wife marie of Gerald, MO; in-laws, Helen Nolting of Gerald, MO, Gladys Ray and Hazel Twilegar of Cuba, MO, and Wayne and Mariam Mash of the state of Oregon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, all who will sadly miss and fondly remember Kermit Nolting. Visitation was held on Monday, March 13, 2000 at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral Chapel in Cuba, MO with Rev. Norman Heironimus officiating. Pallbearers were Clarence "Pee Wee" Ray Jr., Ronnie Faulkner, Kenny Faulkner, Thomas Mash, Everette Mash, and Robert Robinson. Burial was in the Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn, Cuba, MO. Memorials may be given to Bond Clinic Cancer Center in Rolla, MO. All arrangements were under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO. Myron S. Woodcock Myron S. Woodcock of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2000 at the age of 64 years. Mr. Woodcock was born on August 23, 1935 in Sullivan, Missouri to the late Thomas Isaac and Maud Alice (Nettell) Woodcock. He was raised in Sullivan and graduated from the Sullivan High School. Myron honorably served his country in the United States Army. On January 10, 1960 he was united in marriage to Mary Isgriggs in Sullivan, and to this union three children were born. For several years he worked for the Ramsey Coporation as a supervisor. He also owned and operated the Berwan Theater and the Grande Drive Inn at Sullivan for a number of years. Myron especially enjoyed his work as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service both in Sullivan, and later in his life, in Little Rock, Arkansas. In his spare time he found pleasure in traveling, reading, history, genealogies, and just engaging in conversation with those around him. Those who knew him best describe Myron as very giving, tenderhearted, and yet a strong man who stood up for what he believed. He is survived by two sons, Steven Woodcock and wife, Colleen, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bruce Woodcock of San Jose, California; one daughter, Kimberly Stout of Sullivan; two brothers, Donald Woodcock of Sullivan and Cecil Woodcock of Climax Springs, Missouri; two sisters, Donna Lindaman and Irene Cowan and husband, Elmer, all of Sullivan; three grandchildren, Samantha and Sharon Stout and Kyle Rose all of Sullivan, a very special friend, Sandy Kitchen and husband, Elbert, of Sullivan, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2000 from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Reverend Donald Woodcock officiating. Interment was in Hendrix Cemetery in Stanton, Missouri. Donations may be made to the Hendrix Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund in memory of Myron S. Woodcock. Scotty L. Summers Scotty L. Summers of Bourbon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at the age of 63 years. Mr. Summers was born on November 21, 1936 at St. James, Missouri to the late Howard and Carolyn (Cresswell) Summers. He was raised in Crawford County, near Bourbon, and later graduated from high school there. Scotty married Betty Eaton, who preceded him in death along with two children, Steven and Nancy Summers, in the summer of 1969. In 1972, he was married to Gwendolyn Penninger. They made their home in Georgia, where Scotty was a painting foreman at Six Flags Over Georgia. In 1998 they moved back to the Bourbon area. Scotty enjoyed NASCAR racing, and was a quiet man, who loved his family, and was well respected by his friends. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; beloved friends, Bob and Mary Lee Bock of Bourbon; three sons, John Summers of Hiram, Georgia, Harry Penninger of Marietta, Georgia, and Rudy Muzzarelli of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Donna McDowell of Bourbon; one half-brother, Howard Summers of Bourbon; two sisters, Pat Bartlett of Warner Robins, Georgia and Lois Anderson of Hiram, Georgia; three half-sisters, Hattie Hutchings and Myra Swyers, both of Steelville, Missouri, and Susan Summers of Bourbon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2000 from the Eaton Funeral Chapel in Bourbon with Pastor David Zirpel officiating. Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery. Homer Forster Homer Joseph Forster, of rural Owensville, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his residence. He was 74 years old. He was born Jan. 13, 1926, in Newburg, a son of Charles and Virginia Birdsong Forster. He married Gladyne Spurgeon on April 5, 1946 in Steelville, and she survives. In addition to his wife Gladyne, Mr. Forster is survived by one son, David Forster and his wife Connie, Owensville; three daughters, Nancy Seegraves and her husband Paul of Poplar Bluff, Judy Lewis and her husband Mike and Barbara Barch and her husband Harold, all of Owensville; three brothers, Less Forster, Leasburg, Gene Forster and his wife, Helen, Cuba, John Forster and his wife Judy, Sullivan; one sister, Retha Russell and her husband Floyd, Raytown; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; and two half-sisters. Mr. Forster served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and he was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Services were held March 9, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Roberson officiating. Burial was made in the Licklider Cemetary in Jakes Prairie.
