Beatt (nee Dudley) of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Wednesday, June 22, 1938 in Cairo, Illinois to Dustin Somerwell and Mary Edith Keller Dudley and passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 79 years and 9 months. Karen married David Beatt on July 26, 1988 in Steelville, Missouri. She worked and retired after several years as a secretary at Disco Distributing in St. Louis, Missouri. Karen enjoyed horseback riding, working in her flower beds, road trips, playing in the creek and most of all family outings. She also liked her faithful companion, beloved dog, Dusty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dustin and Mary Edith Dudley. She is survived by her husband David Beatt of Bourbon, Missouri; children Kevin (Tess) Wideman, Darien (Tina) Wideman, all of Warrenton, Missouri, Craig (Kristy) Wideman of Berea, Kentucky, Jason (Jennifer) Beatt of Florissant, Missouri, Kenya Launius of Boonville, Arkansas, Teresa (Richie Faulkner) Dickmeyer of Warrenton, Missouri, Jeni Wideman of Detroit, Michigan, Alicia (Ray) Teson of St. Charles, Missouri, Anita Branson, Phil (Tara) Orf and Lloyd (Jody) Wideman, all of Warrenton, Missouri and David Wideman of Huntsville, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and friends. Ruthene Marie Kitchen Ruthene Marie Kitchen of Bourbon, Missouri was born Sunday, July 18, 1926 at St. Louis, Missouri to Hugh and Cleo (nee Jack) Shults and passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 91 years. Ruthene married Lawrence Kitchen on September 14, 1946 at Highlandville, Missouri. After graduating high school, Ruthene was a telephone operator during World War II. After she was married, she worked as a librarian in Florissant, Missouri for a few years before moving to Bourbon, Missouri. She worked at the Bourbon Library from the 1950's till retiring in 1996. Ruthene enjoyed crocheting items for her family and friends. She spent hours reading, sewing, putting puzzles together and working crossword puzzles. She was an avid collector of angels, dolls and music boxes. Ruthene was actively involved in Samaritan's Purse "Operation Christmas Child." She filled shoe boxes full of gifts, candy and religious items and these boxes are mailed all over the world. Christmas was Ruthene's favorite time of year. For the last several years Ruthene and Lawrence have been attending the First Baptist Church of Stanton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Cleo Shults; sister, Bernadine and husband Charles Kessinger; and sister-in-law, Bernice Eads. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lawrence Kitchen of the home; three children, Ken and wife Edna Kitchen of Bay, Missouri, Ron and wife Candy Kitchen of Leasburg, Missouri and LaDonna Cain and companion Robert H. Mildred Louise Malone Mildred Louise Malone was born September 1, 1925 in Wesco, Missouri to Oliver Lee and Annie Coppedge Malone and passed away February 13, 2018 at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 12 days. Louise graduated from Escambia County High School, Atmore, Alabama in 1943, then returned to her native Missouri, serving as office manager of Diehl Montgomery Motor Company in Rolla, Missouri. When Louise moved to Augusta to be near family, she became an active member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Annie Malone; brother, Dr. Harold Lee Malone Sr. (Bessie); sister, Deleeta Malone Goldsmith (Roscoe); infant brother, Charles Floyd Malone; and nephew, Dr. Jacob Oliver Malone (Delores). She is survived by nieces, Anita (Dick) Bolin of Pensacola, Florida; Lynne (Dr. Rod) Hester of Buckhead, Georgia; Leigh (Glen) White of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; nephew, Dr. Harold Lee Malone Jr. (Mary Beth) of Johnson City, Tennessee; other relatives and friends. Ralph Edward Miller Ralph Edward Miller of St. James, Missouri was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on September 9, 1945 to Richard and Hazel (Henson) Miller and passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Ralph proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps from 1962-1966 where he served on the Marine Rifle Squad. He was married to Emilla Davalos. He is survived by his wife, Emilla of the home; daughter, Nica Miller; other relatives and friends. Paul Emanuel Mosher Paul Emanuel Mosher of Eldon, Missouri, was born on October 10, 1921 in Safe, Missouri to Grover Cleveland and Elizabeth Salata (Klingsieck) Mosher and passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Paul graduated from St. James High School in 1940. His attendance at the University of Missouri was interrupted by WWII. In 1940 Paul enlisted in the United States Army. He achieved the rank of Sargent in the Army Corp of Engineering. He served approximately 18 months in the Yukon Territory and Canada involved with the construction of the Al-Can Highway, remembered as one of the outstanding feats of WWII. The reminder of his two years service, were spent in the South Pacific, Australia, New Guinea and the invasion of Morati and the Dutch East Indies and the invasion of Luzon in the Philippines. Paul was honorably discharged in December, 1945. Jane Morrison. Paul attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1946-1949. He received a B.S. Degree in Agriculture and Agri-Business. Following graduation, he taught veterans on Farm Training classes. He also worked for America Breeders as a supervisor and technician. Paul proudly worked for Kraft Foods Company for 32 years, serving as Station Manager and Dairy Farm Specialist. He was awarded the J.L. Kraft Jade Ring Award for years of outstanding service to company patrons and company. This was the highest award presented to an employee. He was a charter member of the Association of Missouri Dairymen and Sanitorians. Paul loved working with his producers and others in the milk procurement business. He was a member of VFW Post 2442 of Eldon, MO. The family enjoyed travelling throughout the U.S. and Europe. Paul was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church. Paul moved to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2015 and resided at P rimrose until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Elizabeth Mosher; wife, Rebel on December 23, 2012; four brothers and one sister, Grover Audra (Mary), Henry Daniel (Vinita), Jesse Woodrow (Carmlette), John Bunyon and Emma Elizabeth Rieke (August Rieke) and Mabel Morrison, sister-in-law; son-in-law, Lanny Lea; brothers-in-law, Van Morrison, Rebul and Kenneth Morrison. Thurmond of Sullivan, Missouri was born on December 28, 1940 to William Henry and Blanche (Rogers) Thurmond, in Richwoods, Missouri and passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the age of 77 years. John married Shirley Hendrix on October 26, 1963 in Union, Missouri. He was self-employed and owned and operated John's Mobile Home Service. John was a hard worker and a prankster at heart. John enjoyed spending time at his cabin with family, fishing, four wheeling, hunting, woodworking, blackberry picking and mushroom hunting. John was known for his beautiful Christmas light display, playing Santa and his Spirit of giving to others. He also loved the St. Louis Cardinals, going to auctions and dumpster diving. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Blanche Thurmond; and 10 brothers and sisters, Virginia Barton, Frank, Robert and Alberta Thurmond, Louis, Lester and Oscar Thurmond, Nellie Heads, Oscar Thurmond, Arlene Duncan and Carl Thurmond. Virginia Bell Woods Virginia Bell Woods of Sullivan, Missouri was born on November 3, 1940 to Fred P. and Estora Helen (Collins) Miller in Sullivan, Missouri and passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 77 years. She grew up and attended Sullivan schools and was in the graduating Class of 1957. Virginia married Bennie Woods on September 30, 1961. Virginia was a stay at home mom for many years and then she went to work for Wal-Mart for 20 years, where she stocked shelves and was a door greeter. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, playing board and card games and croquet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Woods; parents, Fred and Estora Miller; two brothers, Charles and Walter Miller; and two sisters, Shirley Miller and Marie Collins. She is survived by one son, Kenny Woods and wife Janet of Union, Missouri; one brother, James Miller and wife Ethel of Sullivan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Corey Woods and wife Randi of Bourbon, Missouri, Tashia Immekus and husband A.J. of Sullivan, Missouri, Chase Woods of Springfield, Missouri, Trevor Woods of Sullivan, Missouri, Trista Woods of Sullivan, Missouri and Alina Brown and Chris Lane of Washington, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Wesley Immekus, Malachi and Jeremiah Lane; other relatives and friends.
