Bock was born on April 27, 1928 in Washington, Missouri to Joseph and Gladys (Cowan) Bock and passed away March 23, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Arlis was raised and attended school in High Gate, Missouri. On December 26, 1947 he and Eileen Moreland were united in marriage at Cuba, Moissouri and to this union three sons were born. Arlis was a life long member of the United Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 864 and 682, retiring from Jefferson Asphalt where he had driven the distributor truck for over 25 years. He had also been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 513. Arlis kept busy after retirement when he owned and operated his own backhoe and dump truck, helping with many volunteer projects in Vichy, Missouri and the surrounding area. Arlis also enjoyed raising cattle and working on his farm. You could find him most Wednesdays at the stockyards in Vienna. Arlis had been baptized earlier in life and had been a long time member of the Vichy Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Bock; brother, Marlin; two great grandchildren, Cody Scott Iten and Kelsey Ann Jensen; and daughter-in-law, Carol Bock. He is survived by his wife, Eileen of the home in Vichy, Missouri; three sons, Larry Douglas (Donna), Gary Dwayne (Susan) and Kevin Darrell (Verlee Foust); seven grandchildren, Carrie, Marcie, Trevor, Travis, Lara, Amy and Lesley; 16 great grandchildren, Cole, Cale, Wesley, Mathew, Megan, Jacy, Tayler, Rydge, Selena, Sophie, Peyton, Kyle, Brandon, Issac, Makayla, and Briley; two great great grandchildren, Lexie and Elaina; three sisters, Kathleen Knichel, Reva Winkle and Frances Happel; other relatives and friends. Chenoweth of Sullivan, Missouri was born on August 16, 1928 in Bourbon, Missouri to Roy Erastus and Rose (Miller) Alexander and passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon, Missouri. Peggy moved to St. Louis and married Kenneth McBride and two sons were born to their union. The family moved to Georgia where they lived for many years relocating back to Missouri in 1972. Peggy was employed with State Farm Insurance in both Georgia and Missouri. She enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls for her collection. The last years of her life were spent listening to Clinton's Blue Grass Band and dancing the night away. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Erastus and Rose Alexander; and three brothers, Max, Dean and Curtis Alexander. Mike lived most of his adult life in the Cassville area and while there worked for Lucky Strike Company. After moving to Cuba, Missouri Mike worked a few years for McGinnis Wood Products until his health failed. His hobbies were woodworking, fishing and camping. Frederick Noel Goodman Frederick Noel Goodman of Sullivan, Missouri was born on July 3, 1936 to James and Katherine (Declue) Goodman and passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 80 years. He grew up and attended Spring Bluff School. After his schooling, Noel worked on the family farm until he left to serve his county in the United States Marine Corp from 1954 to 1957. Upon his return from the military, he worked at various jobs eventually going to work for Pacco, which later became Borg-Warner. He was employed as a supervisor for many years until its closing. He then went to work for Aerofil Technology for several years before his retirement. On June 27, 1972 Noel was married to Shirley Essmeyer and together they blended their families. Noel was a family man who enjoyed his many hunting trips to Colorado. He also enjoyed talking and chatting with people and wheeling and dealing at auctions. He was also an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Goodman; son, Russell Blankenship; two brothers, Alden and Gene Goodman; and two grandsons, Bradley and Shannon Bizzle. He married Delores Stranghoener on April 26, 1952 at Owensville. Donald was a member of St. John's UCC at Bem, Missouri. He served his country in the United States Marines. He was a member of VFW Post 6133 in Owensville, American Legion in Rosebud and a loyal St. Louis Cardinal's fan. He worked as a molder in shoe manufacturing. Donald also delivered Meals on Wheels for 15 years for the Owensville Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rosa Koepke; his wife, Delores Koepke; two brothers, Otto and Chester Koepke; and two sisters, Alma Glaser and Clara Idel. William Anthony Matthews William Anthony Matthews of Vichy, Missouri was born on November 3, 1940 in Rolla, Missouri to William Forest and Agnes Mosher Matthews and passed away on March 15, 2017 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Frank on March 23, 1990 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the Marines Corp. He drove over the road trucking for several years. Billy and his cousin Glendon Klossner formed the first St. James Ambulance District which gave St. James, Missouri the first Paramedic ran ambulance service. He also worked the ambulances at St. Mary's and Capitol Regional Hospitals in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was a life-time member of the Marine Corp League in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Forest and Agnes Mosher Matthews. Esther New Reed Esther New Reed (nee Hendley) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, August 27, 1923 in Malden, Missouri to Sanford Clyde and Jemima B. Strong Hendley and passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 24 days. After Esther graduated from high school and beauty school, she married Rev. Ralph New on April 1, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan and to this union three children were born. Ralph passed away in 1963. Esther married Rev. Donald Reed on November 29, 1964 in Crocker, Missouri and he passed away in 2004. She worked as a beautician in Iberia, Stockton, Jefferson City and Cuba, Missouri. Later on she worked for the Cuba Free Press in Cuba, Missouri and Democrat News of Marshall, Missouri. At one time, she was secretary at Gill Memorial Baptist Church in Marshall, Missouri and later at Riverview Baptist Church, Osage Beach, Missouri. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri. enjoyed quilting, crappie fishing and annual fishing trips to Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Jemima Hendley; brothers, Nathan Hendley, James Hendley, Aaron Hendley, Ezra Hendley and Dees Hendley; sisters, Harriet Prock, Martha Burdette and Mary Miner; husbands, Rev. Donald Roy Tate Jr. Donald Roy Tate Jr. was born September 27, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to Donald Roy and Janice M. Tate Sr. and passed away on March 18, 2017 at the age of 51 years. Donnie moved with his family from Arnold, Missouri to Cuba, Missouri in 1977. He was baptized at a young age and graduated from Cuba High School in 1983. He worked as a radio announcer for KBCC in Cuba, Missouri before joining the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Philippines from 1983-1986. After his military service, Donnie worked in retail sales, for many years as a bartender, as a personal care attendant for people with disabilities and most recently as a Floor Manager for a sheltered workshop with Mers- Goodwill. He was a member of numerous organizations. Donnie was known for his love of his family and friends, being the most fun uncle and his ability to make everyone he met feel instantly at ease and accepted. His love was limitless and his smile and hugs were infectious. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Roy Tate Sr.; grandparents, William and Mae Tate, Frank and Hazel Pearson, and step-grandmother, Marie Tate; uncles, Condy, Clyde, and Carl Tate, John, Kenneth, Howard, and Gary Pearson; and aunts, WillaMae and Sharon Tate.
