She grew up and attended school in the Sullivan area, including Saint Anthony Catholic School and Spring Bluff. Carole raised her children as a single mother, while working full time at the Circle N in Bourbon for 15-20 years. Later in life, Carole married Dean Blankenship, on June 5, 2013, while overlooking the Missouri River in Hermann, Missouri. Together, they shared many special memories and simply enjoyed just being in each other's company. They especially loved to spend time outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. Carole loved to find arrowheads, make dream catchers and playing pool. She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta; sister, Judy Spoon; father-in-law, Bill Blankenship; and brother-in-law, Steve Blankenship. She is survived by her husband, Dean Blankenship of Sullivan, Missouri; two daughters, Aschlea Melton and husband Ronnie of Springfield, Missouri and Jenna Limberopoulos and husband Caleb of Sullivan, Missouri; son, Michael Dean and wife Tiffany of Sullivan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katy Dean, Lucas Dean, Kinnley and Presley Limberopoulos and Maesen Melton; brother, Darrel LaPlant and wife Patty of Sullivan, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Kevin Blankenship and wife Sue, David Blankenship and wife Shelby, and Paul Blankenship and wife Mandy; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Janish and husband John, Diane Moss and husband Bill and Pauline Blankenship; other relatives and friends. Robert Jack "Bob" Cason Robert Jack "Bob" Cason of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, July 25, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Alexander and Leah M. (Worley) Cason and passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 78 years. Bob married Trude Winkler on December 29, 1962 in St. Louis, M issouri. Bob attended Mizzou for one year, but quickly realized college was not for him. He joined the Meat Cutters Union, thanks to a call from his best friend Jim Graves in 1963 and was a butcher for 40 years, retiring in 2003. He loved being a butcher and serving customers at the Kroger and Schnucks stores in St. Louis and later at Mace Supermarket in Cuba, Missouri. After he retired, he and Trude moved from their home in Crestwood, where they raised their four children and made many memories. They would continue making memories at the farm. Being a true Cason, Bob had a quick wit and he could always liven up the party. He enjoyed fishing, riding his side by side on the farm, watching the Price Is Right and a few other shows that you needed to know the time of before you stopped by or gave him a call. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Leah Cason; wife, Trude Cason; one sister-in-law, Judy Miriani; and one brother-in-law, Jack Winkler. Thomas James Fowler Sr. Thomas James Fowler Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, April 23, 1944 in Oran, Missouri to William James and Madonna LaVern Tatum Fowler and passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 3 days. He grew up in the Florissant, Missouri area and graduated from Central High School in 1961. He married his first wife, Joan Blankenship Fowler, in 1961. He worked as a painter for years at Ford Motor Company and was a member of the UAW. He retired from Ford in 1998. He married Doris Lee Hahn on February 14, 2006 in Warrenton, Missouri. They made their home in Cuba, Missouri for 16 years. He loved the outdoors and working on his land. He liked gardening, raising both vegetables and flowers. He enjoyed boating on the Mississippi. He was an avid woodworker, making cabinets, hutches, signs and various other wood items. He had a compu-carver that allowed him to make unique pieces of furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Madonna Fowler; first wife, Joan Blankenship Fowler; parents-in-law, Eugene Glen Hahn and Adele Plate Hahn Meyer; brother, Mike (Veda) Fowler; and sister, Donna Fowler. She married Stanley Jost on September 17, 1955 at Leduc Methodist Church in Bland, Missouri. The couple resided on their farm for 66 years. Edith's career reflects her value upon hard work. She worked as a switchboard operator, dealership clerk and newspaper proofreader before embarking a career in real estate. All while keeping her partnership in Jost Fertilizer and Farms. Edith also volunteered time towards civic and charitable causes that she saw merit in. She was one call away when somebody needed a hand. Edith enjoyed crocheting, gardening and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Alice Hoss; daughter, Cindy Lynne Jost; and brother, Donald Hoss. Blaine graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1965. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from April 1, 1966 to March 4, 1969. Blaine married Julie Schmidt on January 2, 1970. Blaine and Julie had just celebrated 51 years of marriage together this past January. Through the years, Blaine was employed by Meramec Mining Company, Associated Crafts (for 17 years) and the Carpenters Union Local #2298 of Rolla (from 1985 until he retired in 2009). Blaine played Triple-A Baseball and was an awesome pitcher. Blaine enjoyed hunting with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newlyn "Bull" and Thelma Shetley; one brother, Bruce Shetley; father and mother-in-law, Tracy and Vivian (Hill) Schmidt; brothers-in-law, Edwin Schmidt and Don Moss; and one sister-in-law, Christine Nutting. Adam Wallace Tibbetts Adam Wallace Tibbetts of St. James, Missouri was born July 10, 1986 in Independence, Missouri to Tommy L. and Mila Wallace Tibbetts and passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the age of 34 years. Adam graduated high school and attended Drury University where he received a Bachelor's Degree. After college, he entered the United States Army and served his country in high combat in Iraq. He received the Iraq Campaign Medal, Three Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal (3RD Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award,) Combat Action Badge. He was subject to active-duty recall. Upon returning home he was an avid bow hunter and he loved riding his motorcycle. Adam was active in charity work and donated many hours to the Hardcore Ministries. He was tender-hearted but he was also tough as nails. Even though he enjoyed life his military career, it affected his ability to work. Sometimes Adam seemed disinterested or distant, but it was his way of trying not to think or feel in order to block out painful memories. Adam spent many hours with his PTSD doctor in Columbia, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother who passed away in 1998. He is survived by his father; one son; two brothers; two sisters; other relatives and friends. Private graveside service with full military honors was held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the family plot at Liberty Cemetery in Belle, Missouri. Vernon Joseph Voss Sr. Vernon Joseph Voss Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, May 8, 1940 in Sullivan, Missouri to George and Edith (Fortner) Voss and passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Vernon married Karen Thompson on November 27, 1960 in Oxnard, California. After the death of Karen on September 6, 2002, Vernon married Mary (Rush) Widener on September 29, 2007 in Cuba, Missouri. Vernon was the owner/operator of Voss Quarry in Cuba, Missouri for 45 years. Vernon honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was always creating and designing new things, to make his job and life easier. In his sparetime he enjoyed gambling, gold mining, fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edith Voss; first wife, Karen) Voss; one son, Jason Voss; and three sisters, Mary Bernard, Virginia Swab and Debbie Voss.
