MO Local Obituaries for the Week of April 6, 2000 William Ackerman William Jasper Ackerman, Cuba Route, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his residence. He was 93 years old. He was born November 26, 1906, a son of Jacob George and Dollie Souders Ackerman. He married Nellie Viola Jenkins on September 1, 1926, and she preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter-in-law, Pearl Irene Ackerman; three grandchildren, Ralph William Ackerman, Kim Henry Ackerman, and Shari J. Ryerson; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie; one son, Ralph Jacob Ackerman; one brother, George H. Ackerman; and one sister, Gladys Ackerman. Mr. Ackerman was a farmer, and he lived on his home place all his life. Services were held March 28 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Pearson officiating. Burial was made in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba. Robert W. Hoener Robert W. "Robby" Hoener, 25, Holts Summit, died March 16, 2000, in Morrison. He was born August 16, 1974, in Sullivan, a son of Donald R. and Bonney Abbas Hoener. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married October 15, 1994, in Jefferson City, to Darla Dellbringge, who survives at the home. A lifelong Mid-Missouri resident, he attended schools in Linn. He was employed with the Joe Nolte Construction Company and, before that, with the G. J. Leimkuehler Construction. Other survivors include: one son, Krutis Hoener, of the home one daughter, Shelby Hoener, of the home; one brother, Donald Ray Hoener, Jr., the state of Arizona; his paternal grandmother, Esther Hoener, Jefferson City; and maternal grandparents, William and Cathern Saunders, Leasburg. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 20, at the Morton Funeral Home, Linn., with the Rev. Vern Williford officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery, Bay, Mo. Memorials are suggested to the Robert W. "Bobby" Hoener Memorial Fund. Robert Lee Lewis Robert Lee Lewis of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, formerly of Steelville, Mo. died Friday, March 24, 2000, in the St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 25 days. He was born Monday, April 29, 1942, in Potosi, Mo., a son of the late Virgil Lee Lewis and Mary Washington Lewis Mowery (nee Fowler). In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Ruth. Among those who remain to mourn his passing are two daughters, Rebecca Thomas of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Christy Adam and husband Russell of Dill City, Oklahoma; one sister, Rosemary Callahan and husband Melvin of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, brother-in-law, John Ruth of Dill City, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert Lee Lewis lay in state 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2000, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2000 , in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Phillip Helms officiating. Musical selections were provided by vocalist/pianist Loretta Marrill. Committal prayers and interment were in Shirley Union Church Cemetery, Shirley, Mo. Serving as pallbearers wee Danny Foster, Steven Fowler, Charles (Bobby) Harrison, Rodney Helms, Ron Long and James Rohan.
