Jerry Allen Bourne Jr.
Jerry Allen Bourne Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to Jerry A.
and Ariane M. (Staryak) Bourne on October 24, 1980 in Florissant,
Missouri and passed away suddenly Friday, April 4, 2014 at the age
of 33 years.
Jerry worked as an installer for Dish Network. He enjoyed being with
his family and friends, being outdoors, watching Dragon Ballz,
reading comic and fact books.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie (Morse) Bourne of Cuba, Missouri;
parents, Ariane Bourne of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry and wife Marcia
Bourne of Fletcher, North Carolina; two sisters, Cristina Bourne
and husband Jason Kegley of Portage, Indiana, Jamie Bourne of
Hendersonville, North Carolina; grandparents, Lawrence and Betty
Bourne of Cuba, Missouri; one niece and three nephews, Miranda,
Alec, Brody and Brady; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell
Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at
Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating.
Interment followed at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home in
Cuba, Missouri.
Cheryl Ann Hartman
Cheryl Ann Hartman of Bourbon, Missouri was born January 19, 1969
to Robert and Patricia (Brown) Watson at Peoria, Illinois and passed
away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the age of 45 years.
She attended school in Illinois but graduated from Orchard Farm High
School in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduation Cheryl attended
Sanford Brown College and became a Paralegal. She enjoyed the
outdoors, gardening and hanging out at the river. Cheryl was of the
Christian faith.
She is survived by her husband, James Hartman of Bourbon, Missouri;
two sons, Mathew Charleville of Kemah, Texas and Jesse Charleville
of Bonne Terre, Missouri; four daughters, Sarah Charleville of
Roanoke, Virginia, Abby Charleville, Jamie Hartman and Madisyn
Hartman, all of Bourbon, Missouri; her parents, Robert and Patricia
Watson of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; four grandchildren, Taylin
Castorena, Destiny McDorman, Skylar McDorman and Gracelyn Bond; one
brother, Rob Watson and wife Jennifer of Barnhart, Missouri; two
sisters, Bonnie Aye and husband Craig of Arnold, Missouri and Amanda
Farmer of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the
Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014
from the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri
with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.
Interment was in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home,
Sullivan, Missouri.
Marilynn Ann Krenning
Marilynn Ann Krenning of Rolla, Missouri, formerly of St. James,
Missouri, was born January 28, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Herbert
and Ann (Dorsey) Wallis and passed away March 28, 2014 at the age
of 84 years.
After graduating high school Marilynn attended nursing school where
she received her LPN license.
She was united in marriage to Robert Reese and to this union six
children were born.
After their children were born, Marilynn decided to give up her
nursing career and stay home to be with her family. She also taught
Sunday school at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellisville,
Missouri where she was also in charge of the Sunday School Department.
On September 20, 1979 she married Richard Glenn Krenning, who brought
three children to the marriage.
Marilynn enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an amazing cook. She had
great faith in God and was very appreciative of Pastor David Peter
coming to her home to share a scripture or two with her when she
could no longer attend regular service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ann Wallis
husbands, Robert Reese, and Richard Krenning; and one sister, Nancy
Knickmeyer.
She is survived by her children, Steven Reese and wife Carol of
St. Louis, Missouri, David Reese of Los Angeles, California, Mary
Maris and husband Steve of Lone Star, Texas, Jim Reese and wife
Cindy of Springfield, Missouri, John Reese of Miami, Florida, Julie
Newell and husband Jim of Morton, Illinois, Dan Krenning and wife
Merry Ann of Newalla, Oklahoma, Mark Krenning of Highland, Illinois,
and Mike Krenning and wife Chris of St. Louis, Missouri; brother,
Michael Wallis and wife Suzanne of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 29 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 11:30 until time of
service at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the
St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. James, Missouri with Dr. David
Peter officiating. Music was provided by Delores Bell and Lori
Garver.
Interment followed at the St. James Cemetery with grandsons, Steve
Reese, Scotty Reese, Justin Blackwell, Dan Reese, Spencer Reese,
Josh Newell, and Adam Newell serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Stanley Ray Shiner
Stanley Ray Shiner of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Tacoma,
Washington on August 12, 1950 to Maurice Samuel and Eula Merle (Isler)
Shiner and passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the age of 63 years,
7 months and 19 days.
Because of his father’s career in the military, the family lived
in various places throughout the country. They eventually lived at
Orlando, Florida where Stan graduated from Colonial High School in
1969. He then entered the military and honorably served his country
with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
After his discharge, Stan earned college credits in Design and
Building and eventually became self-employed in fire suppression
systems. He owned and operated his company, which was known as Fire
Protection Systems and later retired from there. Stan also owned
Gasoline Alley in Bourbon, Missouri. He enjoyed restoring old cars,
golfing and fishing, relaxing at his lake and vacations at Cocoa
Beach.
Stan was honored in 2007 as the ASA Midwest Council Best MEP nominee
and in 2009 ASA Midwest Council Best MEP Subcontractor nominee, and
was conferred the American Business Defense and Advisory Council
2009 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Stan also was inducted into the National Fresh Water Hall of Fame
for a world record catch and release angling achievement for lake
trout, 47 inches, 15 lbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Eula Shiner;
brother, Harry Shiner; and sister, Debra Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (nee Bylo) of the family home;
three daughters, Lacey Whittaker and husband Justin of Union,
Missouri, Lindsey Machelett (Dustin King) of Bourbon, Missouri and
Chelsea Shiner (Paul McCallum) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; four
grandchildren, Adalyn Whittaker, Olivia Whittaker, Jaivyn McCallum
and Brynlen King; one brother, Jimmy Shiner and wife Wendy of
Winter Springs, Florida; two sisters, Linda Wells of Altamonte
Springs, Florida and Judy Macuch of Fairfield, Connecticut; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on
Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Meramec Valley Baptist Church. Memorial
funeral services were conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014
from the Meramec Valley Baptist Church, Bourbon, Missouri with
Pastor Erik Williams officiating. Full military honors followed
the service.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home,
Sullivan, Missouri.
Fanny Maxine Stearns
Fanny Maxine Stearns of St. James, Missouri was born on
December 15, 1956 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Elmer and Kathleen
Stevens Winn and passed away at her home on April 3, 2014 at the
age of 57 years.
Fanny was united in marriage to Gary Stearns on January 4, 1978
in St. Louis County.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Kathleen
Winn.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Stearns of St. James, Missouri;
one son, Elliott Stearns of Farmington, Missouri; three daughters,
Lola Stearns and Ingrid Stearns of St. James, Missouri and Holly
Krewinghaus and husband Chaz of St. James, Missouri; two brothers,
Freddy Winn of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Bert Winn of Warrenton,
Missouri; two sisters, Colleen Moreland of Cuba, Missouri and Laurie
Miller of Warrenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sidney
Kouzebwski, Ivy Stearns and Elliott Stearns; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held Monday, April 7, 2014 from 10 a.m. until funeral
time at 2 p.m. with Fanny’s husband Gary Stearns speaking at the
service. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in
St. James, Missouri.
Clifford Carl Stewart
Clifford Carl Stewart of Cuba, Missouri was born February 28, 1934
at St. Louis, Missouri to Horace and Elizabeth Jane (nee Burleson)
Stewart and passed away Thursday, April 3, at the age of 80 years.
Cliff was united in marriage to Joann “Jodi” Rector on
October 8, 1954 at the Presbyterian Church in Cuba, Missouri and to
this union three children were born.
Cliff worked for Switzer in Rolla, Missouri from 1970 until 2000 and
retired as a Customer Liaison. Cliff was the first hired employee for
Switzer and he trained all of the first crew at the Rolla VO Tech on
how to operate the machinery. Switzer made all the fan blades for
the auto industry. After retiring Cliff owned and operated Stewart
Painting and due to his health he retired again in 2005.
Cliff spent years playing the guitar and singing in a band. He made
stain glass windows, did needlepoint, tole painting and spent hours
doing wood working. He always like the old classic cars and he could
even restore them. He was a member of the Rolla Car Club, past
master and former secretary of the Cuba Masonic Lodge #312 A.F. & A.M,
attended the Trinity Chapel for years and for the last few years
attended the Cuba United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Stewart and Elizabeth
Jane Stewart Ray; his wife, Jodi Stewart; two brothers, William and
Charles “Chuck” Stewart; one brother-in-law, Bill Albrecht.
He is survived by his children, Carla and husband David Koch of
Columbia, Missouri, Cathy Stewart of St. Louis, Missouri and Kevin
Stewart of Arizona; one grandson, David and wife Stephanie Woodruff
of Colorado; one great grandchildren to be born in June; one brother,
Bob and wife Joyce Stewart of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters, June
Albrecht of Cuba, Missouri and Nancy and husband Don Fisher of Fort
Mauve, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stewart of Cuba, Missouri
and Lou Stewart of Waynesville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 5, 2014 from noon to 2 p.m. at
the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Masonic service was held at 2 p.m. followed directly by the funeral
service with Chaplain Lindy Hartwick officiating. Special music was
“Crossing the Bar,” Three Old Rust Nails” and “Wings of a Dove.”
A private family interment and prayers followed at the Oak Hill
Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of
Cuba, Missouri.
