MO Local Obituaries for the Week of April 10, 2019 Bruce Alan Brown Bruce Alan Brown of Cuba, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on September 5, 1955 to Sidney and Marilyn (Prewett) Brown and passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Bruce was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School Class of 1973 in St James, Missouri. He married Sue Ann Stewart on October 19, 1974. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman, he took his love and respect for nature and wildlife, and turned it into a 31 year career with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Bruce worked as a Fisheries Management Technician and then as a Wildlife/Forestry Technician. It was his joy to share his knowledge, not only with his family and friends, but with anyone he came in contact with. He was a true "hunter, gatherer" and there was nothing he enjoyed more than sharing his catch of the day with a big fish fry, with himself serving as the cook. Bruce never met a stranger. He could work the room with his quick wit and funny one liners and made everyone feel like family. Bruce was a proud "PaPa" to eight grandchildren and he took on the grandpa role as he did everything else in his life, with a passion and a purpose. Making sure he was teaching them about the outdoors, just as he had his own children. He took great pride in sharing their hunting and sports stories and pictures with anyone who would listen. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Brown; sister-in-law, Rosa Brown; in-laws, Oran and Eva Stewart; brother-in-law Richard Stewart; sister-in-law, Judy Stewart; and cousin and great friend, John Hodge. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue Ann Brown of Cuba, Missouri; mother, Marilyn Brown of St. James, Missouri; children, Jason Brown and wife Sheila of Prairie Home, Missouri, Josh Brown and wife Shannon of Cuba, Missouri, Jordan Brown and fianceŽ Justine Minzey of Montesano, Washington and Kaitlin Brown of Cuba, Missouri; brothers, Bryan Brown and wife Roberta of St. James, Missouri and Stewart Brown of Edgar Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Tucker, Kennedy, Madison, Cooper, Caleb, Miley, Thomas and Tanner; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Craig Rippy officiating. Ethan James Childers Ethan James Childers of Rolla, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on March 16, 1993 to Matthew Jason and Jacqueline "Jackie" (Gertler) Childers and passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at the age of 26 years. Ethan was a graduate of the 2011 class of Rolla High School, where he played on the offensive and defensive line for the Rolla Bulldog Football Team. He was an avid sports and Cardinal fan. His greatest pride and joy was his son, Jakson Childers. Ethan loved hard and protected fiercely. This earned him the nickname "Grizzly" at a young age. He was a kind soul and a loyal friend, willing to lend a hand to anyone at anytime. Daniel Ward Fabian Daniel Ward Fabian of Fort Worth, Texas was born on April 5, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Helen Ward Fabian and passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 29 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Ward Fabian. Hutchcraft of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, August 18, 1935 at Nashville, Illinois to John and Maggie (nee Majewski) Palucki and passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Annie retired in 1997, after 44 years of dedicated service, from Frito Lay as a production worker in the pretzel factory. Annie spent her 42 years working nearly seven days a week. She believed in "saving for a rainy day." She enjoyed going to the river, floating, camping and just being outdoors. Her flower gardens and vegetable gardens were always beautiful. After moving to Cuba 22 years ago she became a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church and she enjoyed being able to walk around town. Reading to her grandchildren and camping with her children was what she loved to do in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie Palucki; two brothers, Martin Palucki and Johnnie Palucki; and one sister, Regina Raymo. Kenneth Ray Pyatt Kenneth Ray Pyatt of Sullivan, Missouri was born in Cherryville, Missouri to Otto and Martha Harris Pyatt and passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 7 days. Kenneth married Helen Virginia Eaton on January 17, 1960. Kenneth worked on the assembly line for 30 years at Ford Motor Corporation, Hazelwood, Missouri. His hobbies were playing his guitar and singing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Martha Pyatt; daughter, Karen Slade; brother, Troy Pyatt; sister, Imagine (Lester) McBenge; sisters-in-law, Geneva Pyatt and Bertha Taber; and brothers-in-law, Harold Cooper, Ray Anderson, Paul Myers and Johnny Eaton.
