Bailey of St. James, Missouri was born October 13, 1977 in Columbia, Missouri to Morris and Brenda (Usery) Bailey and passed away April 7, 2010 at the age of 32 years. Brian was united in marriage to Christy Taylor and this union was blessed with three children. Brian loved to rodeo, he was a professional bareback rider and he also enjoyed riding bulls. He loved playing with the kids and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Morris Bailey; grandfather, Morris Lee Bailey; grandparents, John and Alice Usery. He is survived by his wife, Christy and their children, Blake, Jacob and a baby on the way; children, Timothy, Samantha and Adam Bailey, of Steelville, Missouri; parents, Brenda and Floyd Cale, of St. James, Missouri; brothers, Anthony Wayne (Fuzzy) Bailey and wife Lorie, of Licking, Missouri, Jason Bailey and wife Rhonda, of Union, Missouri; Jeremy Cale, of Chicago, Illinois; Shane Club and wife Mirssia, of St. James, Missouri; Timothy Bailey, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; sister, Ruth Kean, of Rolla, Missouri; special friends, Brian and Christy and Wally Spencer; other relatives and friends. Harold Bradford Harold Bradford was born September 8, 1925 in Granite City, Illinois to Clyde Bradford and Emma J. (Peter) Bradford, and passed away in Salem, Missouri at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 27 days. In 1957 Harold was united in marriage to Phyllis Borden. She preceded him in death on March 25, 1983. Harold was a member of Grace Community Church. He loved the Lord and his faith was very important to him. He was quite talented and hand carved very intricate and detailed miniature furniture, which he would sell at craft shows in Illinois. Being outdoors, especially fishing and just enjoying nature all brought him great pleasure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Emma; his wife, Phyllis; brothers, Clyde, Mark, Jim, Ralph and Curt and one sister, Irene. He is survived by his son, Ronald Bradford of St. James, Missouri; daughter, Elaine Burton and husband Fred of Weiser, Idaho; sister, Peggy Gott of Salem, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Memorial service was at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary, with full military honors performed by the Salem American Legion Post #99. Cecil Busby Cecil Busby of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri was born on June 2, 1925 to Joseph Madison and Addie (Leggett) Busby in Lepanto, Arkansas and passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis, Missouri. Cecil was 84 years, 10 months and 5 days of age. Cecil was united in marriage to Beatrice Joyce Singleton. Cecil worked as a Teamsters Freight Handler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Addie Busby; brothers, Walter, Johnny, Paschall, and Walter Busb and sisters, Tishie Clark and Mary Bee Propes. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Busby (nee Singleton) of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Sandra Joyce Hussey and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchild, Kim Cervantes and husband John of St. Louis, Missouri; great grandchildren, Chris, Steven, David, Miranda, and Jacob; sister, Dorothy French of Tennessee; other relatives and friends. Donald Eugene Cook Donald Eugene Cook known to many as “Donnie or Doc” of Cuba was born to Arthur P. and Thelma L. (Bailey) Cook on June 12, 1947 in Vichy, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 62. Donnie worked for many years as a mechanic and a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, his two dogs Turkey and Baby and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur P. Cook and Thelma L. (Bailey) Terry; one brother, Daniel Cook; two sisters, Dorothy Cox and Teresa Happle; three grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Pearly June Cooper Pearly June Cooper of Sullivan, Missouri, was born at Bunker, Missouri on June 21, 1924 to Charles and Lucy (Jordan) Wisdom and passed away Wednesday, at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital on March 31, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She came to live in the Sullivan area in 1959 and was employed for a time with the Sullivan C-2 School District as a cook. Later, she became employed at the former Sullivan Community Hospital, now Missouri Baptist, as a Nurse’s Assistant. However, for the most part, she was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, camping, playing Bingo and reading and enjoyed flower gardening. On October 18, 1941 she was united in marriage to Raymond Morris until his untimely death in 1966. In May of 1970 she was united in marriage to Bobby Cooper who passed away in 2007. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucy Wisdom; husbands, Raymond Morris and Bobby Cooper; two brothers, Louie and Raymond Wisdom and a sister, Ina Myer. Lewis M. and Dorothy Mae (Sifford) Deason Lewis M. Deason and his wife Dorothy Mae nee Sifford of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away within 3 days and 21 hours of each other; Lewis at the Presbyterian Manor in Farmington, Missouri on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the age of 79 years and Dorothy on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Wilshire at Lakewood Manor at Lee’s Summit, Missouri at the age of 80 years. Lewis was born at Saint Louis, Missouri on March 29, 1931 to Louis and Mildred (Baer) Deason. He was a graduate of Washington University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Dorothy was born on December 29, 1929 at Saint Louis, Missouri to Raleigh Gene and Myrtle (Ellsworth) Sifford, Sr. He was employed many years as an Electrical Line Design Engineer with the former Union electric Company, which is now Ameren UE. Dorothy was a faithful homemaker who was actively involved in her church and taught Sunday school for many years. On March 31, 1950 they were united in marriage and to this union three sons where born. Their marriage, of almost 60 years was sustained by the Word of the Lord. They raised their children in the nurturing and admonition of the Lord and was responsible in some way or another with the professions of faith by their entire family, including both sides of the family. Lewis’ hobby was Bible study and Bible trivia. He was faithful in all things and a true man of God. In 1979, the family moved to Bourbon, Missouri; having bought his great grandparents property. Lewis and Dorothy were members of Temple Baptist Church where Lewis was a Sunday school teacher and at one time was an active Deacon. They are survived by three sons, Richard L. Deason and wife Kathy of Leesburg, Virginia, Kenneth L. Deason and wife Lori of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Russell L. Deason and wife Krista of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, William Dale Deason and wife Ruth Ann of Londell, Missouri; eight grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Lewis were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri, with Pastors Scott Perry and Bill Miller officiating. Interment for Mr. and Mrs. Deason was in the Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Lytle L. George Lytle L. George of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Granite City, Illinois on June 5, 1920 to Edward and Della (Litton) George and passed away at Saint Clare Hospital, Fenton, Missouri on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the age of 89 years. On April 8, 1941 he was united in marriage to Virda Smith at Steelville, Missouri. They made their home in the Sullivan and Bourbon areas the majority of their lives. He was employed as a carpenter with Cy Dace Construction Company and retired from there after many years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, making up songs to sing for the grand- children and family get-togethers. He was raised in the Pentecostal faith and attended Greens’ Branch Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Della George; son-in-law, Elvin Bunton, two brothers, Freeman and William George; six sisters, Nettie Stroup, Rosetta, Evelyn and Savannah George, Myrtle Stroup and Kate Immekus. Marie Jane Mabe Marie Jane Mabe of Steelville, Missouri, was born March 14, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Lillian (O’Keefe) Lancaster and passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 87 years. On September 12, 1946 in Salem, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Richard Lindell Mabe. Since the beginning of St. Michael’s Church in Steelville in the 1950’s, Marie was an active founding member and had been involved in the Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking when her health permitted. Marie loved all of the people that she met and they loved her back. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lillian Lancaster; her husband, Richard Mabe; one son, Danny Mabe; one daughter, Julie Young; and one brother, Jim Lancaster and wife Mary Ann. She is survived by her seven sons, Richard Mabe, Joseph Mabe and wife Edie, John Mabe and wife Linda and Jim Mabe, all of Steelville, Missouri, Thomas Mabe and David Mabe and wife Melanie, all of Cherryville, Missouri and Bill Mabe of Viburnum, Missouri; two daughters, Mary Turnbough and husband Danny of Steelville, Missouri and Jeannette Payne and husband Gene of Bourbon, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Charlene Vaughan Mace Charlene Vaughan Mace (nee Hell) of Rolla, Missouri was born to Charles H. and Neva F. (Vaughan) Hell on July 2, 1937 in St. James, Missouri and passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the age of 72 years. Charlene was united in marriage to Lynn Mace in Lebanon, Missouri on August 20, 1955 and to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Mace; parents, Charles and Neva Hell; one sister-in-law, Norma Mace; other relatives and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Pastor Gary and wife Sharon Mace of Cuba, Missouri and Charles and wife Jennifer Mace of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Susan Mace of Rolla, Missouri; one sister, Susan Kay and husband Don Jordan of Rolla, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Carroll Mace of Rolla, Missouri; five grandchildren, Eric Mace of Temecula, California, Brad Mace of Cuba, Missouri, Emily Jones of Rolla, Missouri, Katie and Caroline Mace of Cincinnati, Ohio; other relatives and friends. Hazel Lorena Uthlaut Hazel Lorena Uthlaut (nee Hauser) of Big Spring, Missouri was born in a log home on Monday, September 9, 1912 just east of Big Spring in Montgomery County to Frank C. and Clara A. (nee Anderson) Hauser and passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri at the age of 97 years. Lorena accepted Christ early in life and attended the Methodist Church at Hugo where she also attended school through the eight grade. She loved to sing and loved poetry. She was an avid quilter and still possesses her first quilt, an Improved Nine Patch, she made in the 1930’s. She made quilts for all her children and grandchildren and read over 500 books in recent years when she could no longer quilt. On October 5, 1932, she was married to Ralph E. Uthlaut of Big Spring, Missouri, at the Methodist Parsonage in New Florence, Missouri. They became members of the St. James Evangelical Church at Big Spring also known as the Sandrock Church. They later became members of St. John’s United Church of Christ at High Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. and Clara A Hauser; her husband, Ralph; brothers, Walter and Frank Jr. and sister, Vaurene Heldt. She is survived by her four children, Ralph Jr. and wife Carol, Judith and husband Arthur Gerloff, Ronald and wife Patricia, all of Montgomery County; daughter, Dina Thomas and husband Robert of Cuba, Missouri; 14 grand- children, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Leo and wife Gladys; one sister, Thelma and husband Benjamin Kattelmann and one sister-in-law, Melba Hauser.
