Daniel Paul Hogue
Daniel Paul Hogue of New Haven, Missouri was born on Friday, August 19, 1977
in Kansas City, Missouri to Rickey G. Hogue and Travice D. Rawson. He passed
away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the age of 30 years, 7 months and 20 days.
Daniel married Amy Marie Crider on June 3, 2005 in Sullivan, Missouri and
to this union one daughter was born.
He worked in construction of residential homes. He enjoyed playing his guitar
and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfathers, Harold G. Hogue and
Claude Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of Union, Missouri; daughter, Emilie Marlene Hogue
of Union, Missouri; step son, Corbin Crider of Gerald, Missouri; mother
Travice and husband Frank Jackson; half brother, Lance Jackson, all of Arnold,
Missouri; grandmothers, Nadene Hogue of St. Clair, Missouri and Billie Cooper
of Herculaneum, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Lisa (Aiman) Ghattas of Ballwin,
Missouri and Allen (Tammy) Hogue of Dittmer, Missouri; parents-in-law, Gilbert
(Linda) Crider; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lori (Rick) Cooksey,
Kenneth (Susan) Crider, Kevin (Nicole) Crider and Gilbert W. Crider Jr., all
of Union, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, April 14 from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral service was Monday, April 14, 2008 at 1 p.m.
at the Hutson Funeral Home with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.
Burial at the Carr Cemetery, Cook Station, Missouri with pallbearers Earl
Grubaugh, Angie Campbell, Bill Carr, Wayne Hogue, Kenny Crider and Kevin Crider.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri.
John Henry Schwidde III
John Henry Schwidde III, son of the late John Henry Schwidde II and Betty
Bernice (Edgar) Schwidde, was born July 14, 1953 in Cuba, Missouri where he grew
up and attended Crawford County School. He passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008
in the Harry S Truman VA Hospital of Columbia, Missouri at the age of 54 years,
8 months and 22 days.
In 1971, John entered the United States Army and served his country until his
honorable discharge in 1973. He had attained the rank of Private First Class.
For his faithful service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal,
Sharpshooter Badge w/Rifle Bar and the Sharpshooter Badge w/Grenade Bar.
After leaving the military, he began working as a plumber and roofer. He was
self-employed and operated his own business. In his spare time, he enjoyed being
outdoors whether it was fishing or camping. He also liked art. John was a very
caring person and was always there to help anyone in need, especially the
senior citizens.
He is survived by three children, John Henry Schwidde IV and Heather LéJon Loehr
and Amy Agan of Richland, Missouri; two sisters, Janet Pingleton and her
husband, Rex of Sullivan, Missouri and Doris Payne and her husband, Bob of
Richland, Missouri; two grandchildren; three aunts, Pauline Bay, Velma Edgar
and Joyce Edgar; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the Richland
Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chuck Baker officiating. Nancy Williams read a poem
that she had written in memory of John. Guitarist Dirk Ellis accompanied
Soloist Cindy Franks as she sang, “Amazing Grace My Chains are Gone” and as he
and Cindy sang “I Can Only Imagine.”
Pallbearers were Doc Braack, Blair Ganoe, Dan Ganoe, Lance Payne, Robby Payne
and Rex Alan Pingleton.
A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the
Meremac Hills Cemetery of Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Chuck Baker officiating.
Services were under the direction of Richland Memorial Chapel.
William D. Summers
William D. “Bill” Summers of Cuba, Missouri was born on December 21, 1944 in
Bonne Terre, Missouri and passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 19 days.
Bill was an Independent Sales Representative with Cornwell Tools and later Owned
& Operated Mr. D’s Liquor Store and Baseball Card Shop in Bolivar, Missouri. He
enjoyed the outdoors, especially the water and fishing. He was a collector of
many things and liked to follow sports. He proudly served his country in the
U.S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Post #522.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Edna Summers and one brother, Doyle
Jacobs.
He is survived by two sons, Ryan and wife Tonya Summers of Sparta, Missouri and
Jeff and wife Rhea Ann Summers of Sullivan, Missouri; father, Dale W. Summers of
Cuba, Missouri; mother, Lucille Jacobs (nee Conway) of Belton, Missouri; four
grandchildren, Megan and Baily Summers of Sparta, Missouri, Samuel and Micah
Summers of Sullivan, Missouri; six brothers, Don and wife Tiny Summers of Nixa,
Missouri; Rodney and wife Vicki Jacobs of Ozark, Missouri, Charles Jacobs of
Kansas City, Missouri, Dennis and wife Gail Jacobs of Lufkin, Texas, Michael and
wife Pam “Irene” Summers of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry Summers of Villa Ridge,
Missouri; one sister, Janet Montgomery of Belton, Missouri; two uncles, Marvin
Summers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Jim and wife Sandy Conway of Arkansas; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba,
Missouri.
Funeral was Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with
Pastor Don Martin, officiating.
Interment in Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Mark Edward Willy
Mark Edward Willy of St. Louis, Missouri was born on Monday, December 14, 1953
to the union of Vernon and Delores (nee Welker) Willy and passed away Friday,
April 11, 2008 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 28
days.
Mark grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and worked there for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Willy; one brother, Michael
Willy; grandmother, Irene Reed and other relatives and friends.
He is survived by three children; his mother, Delores Gault of Arnold, Missouri;
one brother, Ted Austin of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Kim Stout of
Bourbon, Missouri and Robyn Austin of Arnold, Missouri; grandfather, Marion
Reed; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was at noon on Monday, April 14, 2008 at St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Cape Girardeau, Missouri with Father Tom Kiefer officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Louise F. VanBeers
Louise Frederick VanBeers of Sullivan formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the
union of Charles E. and Marg (Mueck) Kreichelt on Saturday, July 6, 1912 in
St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Sullivan, Missouri
at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Louise was united marriage to James P. VanBeers on September 7, 1934 in East
St. Louis, Illinois.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cuba United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles E. Kreichelt, Jr.
and one sister, Bernice McCaleb.
She is survived by her husband of Sullivan, Missouri; one daughter, Joan Alyne
Bisesi of Fenton, Missouri and one grandson, Glenn James Wilson of Festus,
Missouri.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 10-11 a.m. at Britton Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral was on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with
Pastor Paul Lathum, officiating.
Interment in Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
