Barnicle, 86, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born March 23, 1920, in Keysville, Missouri, daughter of Cecil and Grace Stinnett Hulsey. She and Kenneth Barnicle were married March 28, 1940, in Keysville, Missouri. She had been a resident of Jackson, Missouri, for 20 years, where she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, and recently received the Life Membership Award from the Presbyterian Women. Marian was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Kenneth of Fruitland, Missouri; two sons, Len (Ellynn) Barnicle of Millersville, Missouri and Mike (Margery) Barnicle of Chesterfield, Missouri. Four grandchildren, Jeff (Nickie) Barnicle of Shawneetown, Missouri, Stacy (Jim) Corcoran of Jackson, Missouri, Tony Thompson of Jackson, Missouri and Theresa Barnicle of Chesterfield, Missouri. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Thompson, Alexis Mansker, Ethan Geary, Rylie Grace Corcoran, Victor Barnicle, Bethany Barnicle, and Madison Barnicle; brother-in-law, Victor Reader of Ellisville, Missouri; and a nephew, Jim Gearhart of the State of Washington. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Arrangements in Jackson (McCombs Funeral Home, Jackson, Missouri) were Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Missouri. Funeral service was at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Arrangements in Steelville (Britton-Bennett Funeral Home) were Monday, April 17, from 1-2 p.m., with a graveside service immediately following at Barnicle Chapel Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Edith Delores Collins Edith Delores Collins was born May 22, 1937 to Ruth and John Mitchell in Newburg, Missouri and passed away April 12, 2006 at the age of 68. Edith loved the outdoors, fishing, flea markets, dancing and going to the casino and play bingo. Edith's nickname as a child was Lucky. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bernie Wilder; two brothers, Donald and Tommy Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Leon Collins of Richland, Missouri; two daughters, Debra Richardson and husband Scott, Vicky Brennan and husband Chris of Cuba, Missouri; two sons, Billy Wilder and Linda of St. Louis, Jimmy Wilder and K of Valley Mines, Misssouri. Eight grandchildren: Danny, Dana, Patrick, Jennifer, Matthew, Michelle, Marie and Jamie and eight great grandchildren. Edith is also survived by three sisters, Patty Black and David of Springfield, Missouri Ruthann Helton and Windell of Springfield, Missouri and Mary Bergon and Kenny of North Carolina; three brothers, Junior Mitchell and Mary Jane of Mississippi, Johnny Mitchell and wife Billie Joe of Waynesville, Missouri and Joseph Mitchell and Sue of Valley Mines, Missouri. Edith is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Edith will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. There was a one day funeral service Friday, April 14, 2006. Visiting hours were from 9 a.m. to noon with the funeral service at noon. Interment was at the Newburg Cemetery in Newburg, Missouri. All arrangements were made under the direction of the Teague and Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri. Ronald Lee DeWitt Ronald Lee DeWitt of Cuba, Missouri was born February 8, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 3 days. Ron was a bartender at the East Office Bar and Grill before becoming disabled. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a life time member of the Cuba VFW Post No. 7147. Ron is preceded in death by one son, Brian DeWitt and his parents, Dorothy Herman-Slape (nee Wahlig) and Farris Herman. Those who survive to mourn his passing is his daughter, Tanya Carabajal; two grandchildren, Dylan and Laila Carabajal; one sister, Renee (Ron) Watkins; special friend and former wife, Kathleen DeWitt; and niece Katrina Bantel. He was a great uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of many. Visitation was held Thursday, April 13 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 West Washington St., Cuba, Missouri. Funeral services were Friday, April 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Britton Funeral Home with Rev. James Finder, officiating. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis County, Missouri at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors. Vincent A. Reeves Vincent Alexander Reeves, 84, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 surrounded by his family. He was born Friday, September 3, 1921 in Sligo, Missouri, the son of Noah and Anna Stinnett Reeves. He was united in marriage to Lucille Gilliam in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1967. Vincent is survived by two sons, Mikel Leroy Reeves and wife Roshell of St. Louis, Missouri, Noel Reeves and wife Willa of Boss, Missouri; two daughters, Cathy Reeves of St. Louis, Missouri and Rose Mary Reeves of Ocala Florida; two sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Vance of Steelville, Missouri and Alene Draper of Caledonia, Missouri; brother-in-law Purn Gilliam and wife Debris of Davisville, Missouri; 26 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter Mary Kim, four brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law. Mr. Reeves had been employed as an oiler at the Liberty Foundry in St. Louis. He was member of the oilers union and the Pentecostal Assembly of God. Funeral Services for Vincent Reeves were held Friday, April 14, 2006 in the Britton Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Special music were CD's of "Believe" from Brooks and Dunn, and "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" from Willie Nelson. Granddaughters, Tasha and Angela Reeves sang "Sanctuary," and Chosen Generation consisting of Kelly Howard, Lena Medley and Ella Greenwalt, pianist, sang "Daddy's Home." Organist music was provided by Dennis Cottrell. Serving as casket bearers were James Reeves, Alex Reeves, Frank Vance, Tim Johns, Terry Reeves Rob Bauman and Jason Reeves with committal prayers and burial in the Czar Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville. James L. Watson James L. "Jim" Watson, 79, of Florissant, Missouri formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at his home. He was born June 17, 1930 in Norwood, Ohio, the son of Lawrence and Margaret Martini Watson. Jim was united in marriage to Jackie Joyce in 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio and she survives of the home. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters, Jeanette McDonald of the state of Wisconsin, Jennifer Foust of Bridgeton, Missouri and Julia Watson of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Harry Watson of Sisco, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son, James "Jimmy" and one daughter, Joan Watson. Jim had served in the Korean War as a paratrooper retiring after 14 years of service. He had worked as an executive recruiter. He had been president of the Numismatic Society of St. Louis and written several articles for the society. He was a former member of St. Michaels Catholic Church of Steelville, Missouri. Graveside services and committal prayers for James Watson were held Thursday, April 13, 2006 with Father James Finder in the Steelville Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Bennett funeral Home of Steelville.
