Benny was a retiree of the Bricklayers Union and worked most of his career for Koelling's Bricklaying Company in Union, Missouri. He also retired as an MP, with over 30 years of service in United States National Guard of St. Clair, Missouri. Benny enjoyed fishing, hunting and he always put out a garden every spring. Edna Elnora Clonts Edna Elnora Clonts (nee McMillen) of St. James, Missouri was born on Monday, July 18, 1921 to John Thompson and Sarah Elizabeth (Key) McMillen and passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the age of 98 years, 8 months and 29 days. Edna was raised in Keysville, Missouri and attended Keysville School. She married Thurston Edward Clonts on March 3, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Edna and Thurston enjoyed 45 years of marriage together before he passed away in October of 1987. She worked as a cafeteria cook in the St. Louis Public School System. Edna and Thurston moved to St. James, Missouri in 1980. She had attended First Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Missouri She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. She liked gardening, canning and growing flowers. She also enjoyed playing Pinochle. Betty grew up in Berryman, Missouri and attended the Slowensky School. She married Billy Lee Doss on April 2, 1951 in Steelville, Missouri. They lived in Redford, Missouri for a few years but knew Berryman, Missouri as their hometown. She worked as a cook most of her life. She worked at Spare Rib Inn, Wayside Inn and had owned and operated Ozark Cafe. She and Billy used to enjoy camping with Jim and Dodie Harmon and Red and Pauline Eaton. Betty enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and attend church singings. She liked gardening and canning. She loved to run around with her best friend Ina Gladden. Beulah Clara Lackey Beulah Clara Lackey of St. Clair, Missouri was born in Deshler, Nebraska on November 18, 1932 to Henry Edwin and Laura E. Borgelt (nee Fraemke) and passed away on April 13, 2020 at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 25 days. On August 18, 1951 she married Eugene Lackey. Beulah was a Christian and longtime member of St. John United Church of Christ in St. Clair, Missouri. She served as church organist for many years, as well as singing in the church choir. She was a faithful member of St. John's quilters, quilting at the church each week. During her working career she was employed by the United States Postal Service delivering mail on a rural route. She was a past active member of the St. Clair Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, embroidering, piecing quilts and marking quilts for quilting. Many of her quilts are now treasured family heirlooms. Beulah liked animals, especially cats, feeding the birds and playing cards. She enjoyed playing video games and puzzles on the computer and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and rarely missed watching a game. After moving to Victorian Manor in St. Clair, Missouri she was happy to play the piano for the Sunday services and to entertain the other residents. He was an avid user of Ebay and bought and sold many collectibles from the 1960s and 1970s. He had a great sense of humor and was always the first one to crack a joke. Mark enjoyed his job as a manufacturer/supervisor at Olin Brass Fineweld Tube where he worked for over 20 years. Mark also loved to play video games. He had almost every console available and played as often as he could. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, in 2010. Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army as a MP. He married Alice Margaret Meade on July 30, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri. Bob worked as a retail clerk most of his adult life in the National Supermarkets of St. Louis, Missouri. After moving to Cuba, Missouri Bob worked several years in the produce department at Mace grocery store in Cuba, Missouri. He had recently attended Deer Creek Church, Cuba, Missouri. He was always smiling and had many friends in the community. Caden Thomas Moss Caden Thomas Moss of Owensville, Misosuri was born on April 25, 2003 in St. Louis, Missouri to Elise (Minnigerode) and Charles "Chuck" Moss Jr. and passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the age of 16 years. Caden had been attending the Zion Lutheran Church in Owensville, Missouri. He was a member of FFA, enjoyed playing sports, hunting and fishing. At age 14, he started concentrating on bull riding. As time went on, he became more and more determined to be great. His ultimate goal was to win a PBR Championship. Through the loss of Caden, many lives were saved as he created numerous Easter weekend miracles by being an organ donor. Nunn Jackie C. Nunn of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, March 27, 1952 at Mangum, Oklahoma to James Ray and C. Mozell (nee Calloway) Nunn and passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 68 years. Jack had served in the United States Armed Forces. After the military, Jack worked in construction and on the oil wells in Texas. He also worked as a police officer in New Mexico and a telephone lineman. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed fast cars and he could sketch anything he had seen. He was known for his ability to tell stories and was quite the salesman; he could sell a gallon of water while in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. His true love was horses. He spent years riding them, taking care of them and being in and going to rodeos. In 1995 Jack was kicked in the head by a horse and his lead to years of surgeries, strokes and being in a wheelchair. But that didn't slow him down. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ray and Mozell Nunn; sister, Bonita Honeycutt; and brother, James C. and wife Linda Nunn. Lois Virginia McDowell Lois Virginia McDowell Scales was born August 25, 1929 to Charles Henry and Bessie Emmaline Dodge McDowell and passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 2 days. Lois was one of 12 children. Lois married Stanley Robert Scales. They were married 64 years. Lois was a member of the Park Place Church of Houston, Texas, served over 50 years as Bible teacher, council member, and recurring President of the Women's Circle and Outreach. She was known for her poise, beauty, and knowledge of various subjects, being a well-read, resourceful wife and mother. She truly believed the words of her favorite hymn "This is my Father's World" which surely resonates to us all today. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Charles McDowell; and husband, Stanley Scales. Betty Ann Stumpe Betty Ann (Blaue) Stumpe of Sullivan, Missouri was born October 11, 1931 at Gerald, Missouri to Charles W. and Minnie Ida (Pruessner) Blaue and passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the age of 88 years. As an infant she was baptized at the Ebenezer (Stone) Church. She later renewed this covenant through confirmation at the Ebenezer (Stone) Church and retained her membership until marriage. She then transferred membership to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur, Missouri. In 1969, Betty transferred her membership to Grace United Methodist Church of Sullivan, Missouri, where she remained a member until her passing. In 1952 Betty married Wayne A. Stumpe and they made their home in St. Ann, Missouri. Betty did office work for the International Shoe Company and later for McDonnell Air Craft. In 1968 she went through Cosmetology School and received her Cosmetology License. After moving their family to Sullivan, Missouri in 1969 Betty worked as a beautician at the Community Care Center in Cuba, Missouri and also at Eaton Funeral Home. In 1971 Betty opened her own Beauty Shop, Lilac Beauty Salon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stumpe; her parents, Charles and Minnie Blaue; one brother in infancy, Carl Blaue; two sisters, Dorothy Moellinger and her husband, Carl, and Joan Pyatt; and one sister-in-law, Joan Blaue. She is survived by her three children, Michael Stumpe and wife Pat of Rosebud, Missouri, Sharon Zelch and husband Joe of Rosebud, Missouri and Mark Stumpe and wife Shelia of Rosebud, Missouri; six grandchildren, Heather Reed and husband Mike of Bland, Missouri, Colleen Funke and husband Mark of Rosebud, Missouri, Sean Stumpe and wife Valerie of Des Moines, Iowa, J.W. Zelch and wife Caitlyn of Bourbon, Missouri, Rachal Smith and husband Joe of Sullivan, Missouri and Kelsey Stumpe of Rosebud, Missouri; great grand- children, Blaine, Morgan, Evan, Meredith, Patrick, Simon, Gabe, Erika, Gennevieve, Bennett, J.C., Hailey, Josey, Hank and Wyatt; one brother, Don Blaue of Gerald, Missouri; one sister, Norma LaValle of Owensville, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Larry Pyatt of Florida; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and cremation center of Sullivan, Missouri. Victoria "Vicky" Ann Voll Victoria "Vicky" Ann Voll of St. James, Missouri was born on July 6, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois to Clifford and Ellamae Jaquet and passed away on April 16, 2020 at the age of 62 years. She graduated from Woodruff High School in 1975 and received a clerical certificate from Midstate College in 1977. She married Allen Hamilton August 30,1980 and resided in East Peoria, Illinois. After the unexpected death of Allen in 1998, she married John Voll on October 31, 2009. Vicky was employed by Illinois Bell/Ameritech/AT&T until she retired in 2013 after 39 years of service. Her hobbies included playing slow pitch softball, fishing, bowling, watching her children's sporting events, cross stitching, thrift store shopping and slot-o-mania. Her family and friends remember her as a hard worker, strong, stubborn and the uncanny willingness to help others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ellamae Jaquet; and first husband, Allen Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, John Voll; two sons, Jeremy (Jenna) Hamilton of Washington, Illinois and Trent (Lindsay) Hamilton of East Peoria, Illinois; three sisters, Pamela (David) Neal, Glenna Campbell and Susan (Mark) Farraher; two grandchildren, Landon and Saige; other relatives and friends.
