William Joseph "Joe" Anderson
William Joseph “Joe” Anderson of Eureka, Missouri, formerly of Cuba,
Missouri, was born November 19, 1945 at St. Louis, Missouri to Jacob
and Mary Lee (nee Morton) Anderson and passed away Tuesday,
April 15, 2014 at the age of 68 years.
Joe was a factory worker most all of his life. He loved being dad,
was everyone's favorite uncle and he treasured spending time with all
of his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and
being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Mary Lee Anderson;
three brothers, Sam, Steve and infant Ronald Anderson.
He is survived by his children, Kelsey and Kevin Anderson of Cuba,
Missouri; five sisters, Linda and husband Tony Ojile of St. Louis,
Missouri, Sandy Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Ann Anderson
of St. Louis, Missouri, Gail and husband Dan Wollberg of Eureka,
Missouri and Rhonda Jo Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers,
Tom and wife Marjorie Anderson of St. Louis County, Missouri, Gary
and wife Kathy Anderson of St. Louis County, Missouri and Bradley
and wife Judy Anderson of St. Louis County, Missouri; like a brother,
Fred Warren of Houston, Texas and Jerry Turnbough of Steelville,
Missouri; aunt, Shirley Morton of Salem, Missouri; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the
Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Special music was “It's a Wonderful
World,” “Tears In Heaven,” “When I Get Where I'm Going” and “I'll
Fly Away.'
Interment and prayers were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014
at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Salem, Missouri with Pastor Larry Nash
officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Threcel Mae Shine Curry
Threcel Mae Shine Curry was born on November 20, 1921 to Alious and
Easter Belle (Smith) Shine and passed away April 6, 2014 at the age
of 91 years.
She was united in marriage to Martin Odell Curry on July 5, 1941 and
to this union a son was born.
They spent 61 years together before his death in 2002.
Threcel and Martin lived in St. Louis, Missouri until they retired
to St. James in 1980. She spent most of her early life as a homemaker
where she excelled at cooking and baking, the more her friends and
family ate, the happier she was. Threcel always put her family first.
When she was blessed with two grandsons her whole life changed, she
adored them, and they her. She taught them lots of card games, board
games and when they got a little older she taught them how to play
poker.
She was always busy crocheting throws, sewing, and doing needle
pointing for everyone or maybe working on a new craft she had seen.
She so enjoyed people that after settling into life in St. James,
Threcel took a position with Ruby's Ice Cream Parlor, a position
she held for 12 years.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Rolla, Missouri, and
although her health kept her from regular attendance in the past few
years, she never waivered in her faith in God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alious and Easter Shine;
husband, Martin; and two brothers.
She is survived by her son and daugher-in-law, Ken and Lee of Elk
Grove Village, Illinois; sister, Mattie Rodewald and husband Vernon
of St. James, Missouri; grandsons, Jeff Curry of Boulder, Colorado
and Michael of Manhattan, New York; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on April 8, 2014 at the Mount
Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann, Missouri.
Casey Allen Edwards
Casey Allen Edwards of Bourbon, Missouri was born at St. Charles,
Missouri on May 14, 1988 to Larry Edwards and Dianna (Eckert) Parnell
and passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 as a result of an automobile
accident at the age of 25 years, 10 months and 27 days.
He had lived the majority of his life in the Bourbon, Missouri area
and was a graduate of Bourbon High School, Class of 2006.
Casey had been employed with the Byrne and Jones Construction Company.
He was known to have a sense of humor and would do anything for anyone.
He enjoyed music, fishing, hunting and arrowhead collecting. Casey's
special interest was in diesel trucks - the bigger the better and
louder! He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon,
Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Cody; maternal
grandparents, Ellen and John Propst and Jim Moreland; uncles, Jim and
Frank Eckert; and cousins, Jocobe Price and Sophia Moore.
He is survived by two children, Carsen Edwards and Ariana Edwards,
both of Sullivan, Missouri; his soul-mate, Amanda Wadley of Sullivan,
Missouri; parents, Dianna Parnell and husband Michael of Bourbon,
Missouri and Larry Edwards of Wentzville, Missouri; two brothers,
Ben Edwards and Mason Edwards of Wentzville, Missouri; sister, Erika
Edwards of Wentzville, Missouri; step-brothers, Chris Crow of Rolla,
Missouri and Michael Piersall of Steelville, Missouri, step-sister,
Alicia Villemure of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 and
on Tuesday, April 16, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at
2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Bourbon, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014
at the First United Methodist Church in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor
Mary Avizenis officiating.
Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery.

Missouri.
Raymond C. Foster
Raymond C. Foster of Cuba, Missouri was born August 24, 1924 at Menfro,
Missouri to Charley and Florence (nee Griffau) Foster and passed away
Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the age of 89 years.
Ray was united in marriage to Lucreita L. Holland on October 21, 1944
at Berkeley City, Missouri and to this union one son was born.
Ray retired from Emerson Electric in 1986 after 23 years of dedicated
service. After retiring Ray went to work for Echo Supplies as a night
watchman and janitor. He worked there for 17 years before retiring
again. Ray and Lucreita have been members of the First Baptist Church
of Cuba for the last several years. Ray loved to drive his car. He
would take the back way to McDonald's just to get coffee. In his
younger years he rode his motorcycle to visit family. Ray was always
aggravating everyone he knew and loved, in a fun way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Florence Foster;
his son, Charles R. Foster; three brothers, Carl, Cletus and Monty
Fosters; four sisters, Virginia Grubb, Ann Sissom, Marie Payne and
Ramona Stone; three sisters-in-law, Mae Griffin, Wanda Ferguson and
Alma Allred. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Lucreita
“Lou” Foster of the home; grandson, CJ Foster and Brittany of Virginia
Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one
brother, Leon and wife Betty Foster of Ferguson, Missouri other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at
the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Bob Knight officiating.
Special music will be “Amazing Grace,” “The Haven of Rest” and
“Beulah Land”
Interment and prayers followed at the Meramec Hills Cemetery,
Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of
Cuba, Missouri.
Dianna Garner
Dianna Garner of Sullivan, Missouri was born on May 5, 1956 at
Steele, Missouri to Everett Galen and Dorothy M. (Kirby) Hatch and
passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the age of
57 years, 11 months and 4 days.
She was raised in the St. Louis area and in 1968 moved to Sullivan,
Missouri.
On May 5, 1973 she was united in marriage to Donald Garner and to
this marriage two sons were born.
For a time, Dianna was employed as the manager at the Super 8 Motel
in Sullivan, Missouri. She enjoyed life to the fullest and there was
never a dull moment when you were around her. Dianna lived to the
“beat of her own drum”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Dorothy Hatch;
husband, Donald on May 18, 2012; a brother, Harley Hatch;
father-in-law, Vernon Garner; sister-in-law, Laura Sue Garner; and
brother-in-law, Jerry Garner.
She is survived by two sons, David Garner of Sullivan, Missouri and
Doug Garner and wife Amy of Sullivan, Missouri; one brother, Jerry
Don Hatch of Bourbon, Missouri; three sisters, Shirley Robertson of
Kennett, Missouri, Virginia Dudley and husband Willis of Punta Gorda,
Florida and Donita Garner of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren,
Lucas Kirk, Mason Kirk, Lexi Garner, Mitchell Garner and Kate Garner;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at the
Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014
from Grace United Methodist Church in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor
Steve Williams officiating.
Interment was in Old Argo Cemetery, rural Sullivan, Missouri.

Sullivan, Missouri.
Beretha “Nellie” Harris
Beretha “Nellie” Harris (nee Smith) of Steelville, Missouri was born
on Wednesday, March 10, 1937 in Cook Station, Missouri to Emory Clyde
and Daphna Carry Benton Smith and passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014
at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Nellie married Hartford Harris on December 10, 1956 in Cherryville,
Missouri and to this union seven children were born.
Nellie worked at Brown Shoe Company, Steelville, Missouri for 17
years as a dowel press operator in the heel department. She had
previously attended United Baptist Church in Steelville. She enjoyed
sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, canning, working in her
flowerbeds, shopping at yard sales and feeding birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Daphna Smith;
brothers, Wayne (Nellie Mae) Smith, Robert Smith and Thomas Smith;
sister, Elaine (Theodore) Lackner; sisters-in-law, Cletta Haffer,
Erma Smith, Alma Jean Harris and Mellie Marie Harris; and
brother-in-law, Estel Harris.
She is survived by her husband, Hartford Harris of Steelville,
Missouri; children, Steve (Debby) Harris of Cuba, Missouri, Ron
(Becky) Harris, Deryl Harris and friend Lynne (daughter-in-law,
Cheryl Harris), Cheryl (Kennith) Bennett, all of Steelville,
Missouri, Roger (Lily) Harris of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Carol (Mike)
Davis of Steelville, Missouri, Bradley (Molly) Harris of Cook
Station, Missouri; brother, Jerry (Rosella) Smith of Steelville,
Missouri; sisters-in-law, Merle Lee (Johnnie) Eye and Aletha Smith
of Steelville, Missouri and Pat Harris Sullivan, Missouri;
brothers-in-law, Walter (Ruth) Haffer of Cuba, Missouri and John
Smith of Steelville, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; seven great
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, April 18, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral
service was Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Hutson
Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Bob Coleman
officiating.
Burial was at the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri.
Valerie Renee Lewis
Valerie Renee Lewis of Cuba, Missouri was born January 17, 1986
at Washington, Missouri to Lori Ann Carnell (Bechtel) and Duane
Gregory Lewis and passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 as the
result of a car accident at the age of 28 years.
She received her schooling in the St. Clair and Pacific areas.
Valerie loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and flowers. She
enjoyed listening to music and had a love for animals, especially
her dog, Cheeto.
She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Lewis; and grand-
parents, Glen and Georgene Lewis and Charlie (Bud) Price.
She is survived by three children, Trinity Roberson, Leighten
Roberson and Kinlee Lewis, all of the family home; her mother and
step-father, Lori and Jimmy Carnell of Sullivan, Missouri; grand-
parents, Agnes Price of St. Clair, Missouri, Harold Bechtel and
wife, Diane of Webster, Wisconsin; three brothers, Kenneth
Johnson III and wife Chrissy of St. Clair, Missouri, Justin Lewis
and special friend Kamryn of Sullivan, Missouri and Braden Carnell
of Sullivan, Missouri; two sisters, Leeann Abbass and husband Greg
of Desoto, Missouri and Amber Lewis and companion Billy Hawkins of
Bourbon, Missouri; her boyfriend, Michael Garrison; special friend,
Michael Roberson; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 4:30-8 p.m. and
on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 9 a.m. until time of service at
1 p.m. at the Eaton Southside Chapel in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday,
April 16, 2014 from the Eaton Southside Chapel in Sullivan,
Missouri with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.
Entombment was in the Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum,
St. Clair, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in
Sullivan, Missouri.
Tyrone “Moose” Wayne Moore
Tyrone “Moose” Wayne Moore of Fenton, Missouri was born
January 15, 1952 in Valley Park, Missouri to Herbert I. and Anna
Marie Brucker Moore and passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at the
age of 62 years, 2 months and 29 days.
He Tyrone loved listening to his music and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Anna Moore;
brother, John I. Moore; and brother-in-law, Floyd Blackmer.
He is survived by his siblings, Roberta “Bobbie” Blackmer of
St. Peters, Missouri, Patsy Manley and husband Terry of Cuba,
Missouri, Evelyn Couch of Marilyn Heights, Missouri, Thomas L.
Moore and wife Judy of Barnhart, Missouri, Iola Moore of Union,
Missouri, Annette Lathum and husband Ben of St. Peters, Missouri
and Roger Moore and wife Donna of Sumter, South Carolina; other
relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,
April 19, 2014 at the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri
with Rev. Myron Couch officiating.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery,
Steelville, Missouri.

Home of Steelville, Missouri.
Dorothy Maxine Moreland
Dorothy Maxine Moreland of St. James, Missouri was born on
October 9, 1937 in Maries County, Missouri to Wilford and Velma
(Barnett) Martin and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014
at the age of 83 years.
On June 4, 1955 she became the bride of Herman Morton. They made
their home in St. James, Missouri and to this union six children
were born.
Dorothy was a cook for several at many local restaurants. She also
worked at California Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator.
Dorothy loved and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal
Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Velma
Martin; husband, Herman; and grandchildren, Bryan Gutermuth and
Matthew B. Moreland.
She is survived by her children, Donald Moreland and wife Bonnie
of St. James, Missouri, Delmon Moreland and friend Patricia
Headrick of Cuba, Missouri, Janet Jones of Bloomington, Illinois,
Vida Lynn Hufendick and husband Albert of Union, Missouri, Tammy
Moreland and fiance David McGee of Union, Missouri, Pammy Kisslinger
and husband Danny of St. James, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 10
great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Martin and wife Louise of
Chamois, Missouri, Bill Martin and wife Wanda of Gray Summit,
Missouri, Gayle Martin of Pacific, Missouri, Dennis Martin and
wife Diane of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the Chapel Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from
6-8 p.m. at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at
the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor
Gary Bartle officiating.
Interment was in the Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary,
St. James, Missouri.
