MO Local Obituaries for the Week of April 25, 2018 Mary Jane Bogoger Mary Jane Bogoger of Broomfield, Colorado, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born Friday, September 26, 1941 at Cuba, Missouri to Alexander Manson and Hazel (nee Brand) Munro and passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Growing up on her family's farm, she spent most of her childhood in Cuba, Missouri. As a sophomore in high school, she went to live with her sister in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Parkview High School in 1959 and attended Southwest Missouri State (now known as Missouri State) in Springfield, graduating in three years with a degree in mathematics. After college, she went on to work for McDonnell (McDonnell Douglas) in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked on the Mercury and Gemini space programs. In 1969 she moved to the California Bay area to work at Lockheed Martin. While working there she met her husband, Richard Neil Bogoger. After several years of running her own Technical Writing business from home, she ended her career with LSI Logic, where she was the head of Technical Writing. She retired in 2002, at the age of 60, after recovering from breast cancer treatment. In the years following her retirement, Mary Jane enjoyed playing tennis, going to the theater, traveling with her sister, whale watching in Maui, singing in her church choir and cheering on the Golden State Warriors. In February 2018 she moved to Broomfield, Colorado to be closer to family and spent her final months enjoying movie nights, dinners and quality time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Hazel Munro; and husband, Richard Bogoger. She is survived by her son, Mark and Ana; two granddaughters, Kate and Sabrina, all of Colorado; one brother, Rudy and wife Rhonda Munro of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Henry of Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:30-11 a.m. at the Cuba United Methodist Church, Cuba, Missouri. Lena Mae Breuer Lena Mae (Beeman) Breuer, of St. James, Missouri was born June 12, 1919 in the Miles Community north of St. James, Missouri to Roy and Minnie Carter Beeman and passed away April 16, 2018, at the age of 98 years, 10 months and 4 days. She married Leo Breuer on December 21, 1946. Lena was baptized into Christ in July, 1949 and was a long-time member of the St. James Church of Christ. She began working as a seamstress at the age of 17 and continued sewing in factories in St. James, Missouri until the age of 67. After retiring, she enjoyed the activities of the Golden Age Center in St. James, Missouri where she was chosen as a Volunteer of the Year. She spent many hours there quilting and she especially enjoyed helping to sew quilts for the Head Start children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Minnie Beeman; her husband, Leo Breuer; her brothers, Alfred, Clarence and James Beeman; sisters, Olive Claus Isgrigg and Gladys Crain; two infact siblings; and a beloved niece, Ann Simmons. Charles Richard Bufford Charles Richard Bufford of St. James, Missouri, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, was born to George C. and Floyce Leona (Feagan) Bufford on January 10, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Richard honorably served his country in the United States Army from February 21, 1966 to February 20, 1969. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Citation Medal, 1 Overseas Service Bar and the Sharpshooter Badge. Richard was a retiree of Laborers' Local 660, St. Charles, Missouri. He enjoyed having a good time, hunting, fishing and shooting a game of pool. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Bufford and Floyce Leona Anderson; one brother, Don C. Corzine of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, October 21, 1927 at Nashville, Tennessee to Leonard and Sarah (nee Dunning) Kellems and passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Dorothy married Billie Dean Corzine on October 19, 1946 at West Florissant Baptist Church, Jennings, Missouri. Dorothy retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company as a Xerox copier in 1985. In 1985 Dorothy and Bill moved to Cuba, Missouri. Dorothy was a member of the Cuba VFW, Cuba Eastern Star, Cuba American Legion and the Cuba United Methodist Church. She spent hours quilting, bowling, reading and writing poems. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and she attended games in each of the Cardinal stadiums. In the spring of 2017 she got to meet the Cardinal players. Dorothy watched every episode of "Murder She Wrote," "Family Feud" and "The Price is Right." She loved to play bingo, eat chocolate and go dancing.She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sarah Kellems; husband, Bill Corzine; two sisters, Janet and husband Virgil Rothmeyer and Catherine LoCocco; one brother, Leonard "Bud" Kellems Jr.; and brother-in-law, Bob Corzine. Greg Paul Fabian Greg Paul Fabian of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, was born Sunday, February 28, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert E. and Mary E. (Roach) Fabian and passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 18 days. Greg worked as a salesman in retail most of his adult life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Fabian. He is survived by friends in Cuba, Missouri and the surrounding area. Tom Fraley Tom Fraley was born August 12, 1931 in Horatio, Arkansas to Gordon Fraley and Josephine Lowe and passed away on April 13, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Tom served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and later attended Coffeyville Junior College in Coffeyville, Kansas. While at Coffeyville, Tom played on the football team, which won the National Junior College Championship in 1956. Tom and other members of that team were inducted into the National Junior College Football Hall of Fame in 2007. Tom graduated from Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1958, before accepting a teaching position in Salem. While teaching physical education and driver's education Tom also coached Tiger basketball, football and track, touching the lives of many students and players. During his coaching years, during the summer months, he and good friend and fellow coach, Ben Koeneman, managed the Salem Municipal Pool during the first several years it was open. After his coaching years he worked for Western and American States insurance companies as the branch claims manager for south central Missouri. Tom maintained his ties to the Salem Tigers and Salem schools by serving for many years on the "chain gang" at football games and as a judge for Salem's annual spelling bee. After his retirement Tom worked several years in the photo lab at Salem's Wal-Mart, where he was known to make appearances as Santa Claus during the holiday seasons. He and Nadine were members of the Salem Golf and Country Club for many years, where they enjoyed golfing with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Fraley and Josephine Lowe; and wife of 62 years, Nadine Walker Fraley. Maurice served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War and later was a recruiter. He married Margie N. Chronister on June 8, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked 31 years and retired from General Motors Industry in St. Louis, Missouri as a supervisor. Maurice was a Cuba City Alderman for three terms in Ward 2. He had attended Amazing Grace Church in Cuba, Missouri. His hobbies were gardening and planting flowers. When he went shopping his familiar quote was "I didn't come to look, I came to buy". Margie was the love of his life whom he treated royally and she was often mentioned in most of his conversations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Wilma Grant; son, Richard M.
