Erma Berry
Erma Berry of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, November 3, 1921 in
Harborcreek, Pennsylvania to Andrew Klins and Bessie Sabin Klins. She
passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Phelps County Regional Medical
Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
Erma married Arthur Berry on July 24, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania and to
this union two children were born.
Erma previously worked in housekeeping for several years and retired from
General Electric Corporation in Erie, Pennsylvania. She moved to Cuba,
Missouri in 2002 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her hobbies
were reading and taking care of her cats. She loved the Lord and her family,
especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant brother, Andrew
Berry, Jr.; sisters, Reva Spoor and Shirley Briggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (David) Paulsen of Cuba, Missouri
and son James (Susan) Berry of Fairport, New York; grandchildren, Scott
(Jennifer) Paulsen of Beaufort, Missouri, Justin and Christopher Berry of
Fairport, New York; great grandchildren, Nichole and Alyson Paulsen;
brother-in-law, Jerry Briggs of New York; other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Lakeside Memorial Park,
Erie, Pennsylvania.
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Lulleen Berry
Lulleen Berry of Cuba, Missouri was born to William F. and Nannabelle (Lisle)
Talburt on November 4, 1924 at Aurora, Missouri and passed away Thursday,
April 23, 2009 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 84 years, 5 months and
19 days.
Lulleen retired as a cook from the Briarwood Manor after many years of
service. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her trips to the Cuba Library.
She also enjoyed farming, gardening, animals, being outdoors, a game of
pinochle and spending time taking care of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Duane and Wallace
Talburt; one sister, Billie Talburt; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy and husband Robert Kent of Cuba,
Missouri; son, Gary and wife Ruth Berry of St. Charles, Missouri; five
grandchildren, Robert and wife Jeannine Kent, Brandy and husband Mark
McMillen, Natalie and husband Jay Smeltser, Laura and Sarah Berry; eight
great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Private family services were held.

Richard George Brakefield
Richard George Brakefield of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of
Monroe W. Brakefield and Opal M. (Koebbe) Enke on Thursday, November 9, 1950
at Gasconade County, Missouri and passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at
Cuba, Missouri at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 16 days.
Richard was a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air
Force and was a member of VFW Post #7147 and A.L. Post #347. He was an
avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; other relatives and friends.
He is survived by two brothers, James and wife Mary Ann Enke of Cuba,
Missouri, Johnny Enke of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters, Sharon Phelan and
Linda Nanan both of Mobile, Alabama; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. at
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Mark
Smith officiating.

Teresa Lynn Happle
Teresa Lynn Happle was born on May 13, 1957 to Lloyd and Louise (Bailey)
Terry in Fort Ord, California and passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009
at her home in rural St. James, Missouri at the age of 51 years, 11 months
and 9 days of age.
She was united in marriage to Eric Happle on September 10, 1983 in St. James,
Missouri.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, enjoyed the outside doing
gardening, loved to cook, collect Coca Cola cans and Hershey’s cans, talking
to people and just enjoying life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise (Bailey) Terry and first
husband Randy Klossner who passed away on November 25, 1981.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Happle of St. James, Missouri; one son,
Devin Klossner of Chamois, Missouri; one daughter, Casey Hoevel and husband
Mitchell of Rolla, Missouri; father, Lloyd Terry of Vienna, Missouri; six
brothers, Bill Cook and Donnie Cook of Cuba, Missouri; Gary Cook of Salem,
Missouri; Mitch Terry of Vienna, Missouri; Mike and Lanny Terry of Rolla,
Missouri; two sisters, Marilyn Boyce of Branson, Missouri and Mary Snethren
of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jamie and Jake Hoevel of Rolla,
Missouri and Blayden Klossner of Licking, Missouri; other family and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Jones Funeral
Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James,
Missouri at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009 with Karen Alden of the Vienna
United Methodist Church officiating.
Pallbearers were Gary Cook, Donnie Cook, Bill Cook, Mitch Terry, Lanny Terry,
and Mike Terry.
Hymns “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”
were provided by vocalist Lori Garver with Connie Rhea at the organ.
Burial in the family plot in the Vienna Community Cemetery in Vienna, Missouri.
All arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Charles Leonard Hopper
Charles Leonard Hopper of Cuba, Missouri passed away on Thursday,
April 23, 2009 at the age of 71.
He is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law.

Billie Jean Lynn
Billie Jean Lynn of Sullivan, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born
Friday, May 29, 1931 at Tuckerman, Arkansas to Luther and Jewell (nee McClain)
Simpson and passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at St. Louis, Missouri at
the age of 77 years, 10 months and 27 days.
Billie worked as a waitress for many years. She had been a “Witness” of the
Kingdom Hall in St. Louis, Missouri and then Sullivan, Missouri for over 43
years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rebecca Dorris; other
relatives and friends.
She is survived by her son, Rick and wife Lora Lynn of Leasburg, Missouri;
daughter, Judy Baumhoff of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Martha Narrens
of Des Moines, Iowa and Dee Roberts of Sarasota, Florida; one granddaughter,
Darlene Bach; three great grandchildren, Nicole, Cameron and Carley; other
relatives and friends.

Ted Allen Paquet
Ted Allen Paquet of St. Louis, Missouri, was born October 6, 1951 and passed
away April 22, 2009 at the age of 57 years.
He was a Marine Veteran and a 1969 graduate from Crawford County R-II School
in Cuba, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Paquet and brother, Gary Paquet.
He is survived by children, Leslie (Pete), Andrea (Adam), Dana, Mark, Olivia;
step daughter, Samantha; grandchildren, Amanda, Holly, Jacob, Robert, PJ,
Devin, and Ryan; mother, Virigina; siblings, Norman, Elizabeth (Bill), Patti,
Shari (Neal), David, Kathi (Rick); sister-in-law, Fran Paquet; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 9-10 a.m. for family. Open
visitation was from 10 a.m. to time of service at noon
Services were at the Lords Funeral Home, St. Louis, Missouri.
Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery, South County.

John A. Robertson, Jr.
John A Robertson, Jr. of De Soto, Missouri was born Friday, December 1, 1944
at St. Louis, Missouri to John A. Robertson, Sr. and Florence (nee White)
Robertson and passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Crystal City, Missouri
at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 21 days.
John proudly served in the United States Army from December 2, 1966 to
September 4, 1968.
John graduated from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri with a
Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration. He worked as a hospital
administrator for the Hospital Corporation of America for 15 years. He
traveled many places with his career, Oregon, California, Texas and Missouri.
He enjoyed music, played the sax in a band, fishing, working with stained
glass and making jewelry. He was always a snappy dresser and enjoyed
drinking coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, James Gross;
other family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Jon Paul Robertson; daughter, Kelli and husband
Charles Sharp; like-a-daughter, Melanie Turner; three sisters, Marilyn Gross
of Osprey, Florida, Sue and husband Jim Cobb of St. Peters, Missouri and
Peggy and husband Dan Jacobsmeyer of Ballwin, Missouri; two grandchildren,
Courtni and Nicholas; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, April 24, 2009 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009 with Father James
Finder officiating at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military honors.

Elmer J. Sapp
Elmer J. Sapp of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Lamar, Colorado was born to the
union of Ernest and Anna (Yonally) Sapp on October 19, 1921 at Wells, Kansas
passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of
87 years, 6 months and 6 days.
Elmer retired from Sante Fe Railroad after 40+ years of service as a Ticket
Agent. He faithfully served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army/Air
Corp.and was a member of the Lamar Christian Church, Colorado. He enjoyed
traveling and visited 49 States including Hawaii. His hobbies included
playing cards, riding horses and square dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Elfreda (Marshall) Sapp;
second wife, Wilma H. (Lundgren) Sumners-Sapp; and one sister, Edna
Thomeczek.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia and husband David Doyle of
Steelville, Missouri, Carole Sapp and partner Linda Hostetter of
Independence, Missouri; one sister, Betty and husband Joe Buckhaults of
La Junta, Colorado; two granddaughters, Janet and husband Murray Hempe of
Edgewater, Florida and Wanda and husband Thomas Conley of New Smyrna Beach,
Florida; four great grandchildren, Elaina and Matt Hempe, Elizabeth and
Thomas II Conley; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the
Lamar Christian Church, 811 S. Main St. Lamar, Colorado with Pastor Ian
Blacker, officiating.

Deloris R. Willig
Deloris R. Willig of Sullivan, Missouri was born November 3, 1924 to John
and Lula Mae (Bayless) Enloe and passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the
age of 84 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Deloris was raised in the Oak Hill area and professed her faith in Christ
at an early age and was baptized at the Assembly of God Church at Oak Hill.
She later moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked at the small arms
plant during WWII. She later moved to the Sullivan, Missouri area where she
was employed for a time at the former PACCO plant.
On September 22, 1958 Deloris was united in marriage to Wayne Edgar Willig
and to this union three children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Herb and Jim Enloe;
three sisters, Edna Wise, Luloa Dobkins and Ruth Bell Kendricks; great
grandson, Ean Michael Hill; other relatives and freinds.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Willig and wife Kelly of West Alton,
Missouri and, from a previous marriage, Ronnie Miller of San Diego, California;
two daughters, Debra Board and special friend Jim Ballard and Sherri Hill and
husband Mike, all of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Daniell Dodd
Curtis and husband Tim of Winslow, Arizona, Timothy Board of Sullivan,
Missouri, Mikey Hill and wife Tasha of Sullivan, Missouri, Emily Hill and
special friend Josh Farrell of Sullivan, Missouri and Durrenda Willig of West
Alton, Missouri; four great grandchildren; one sister, Georgia Farris of
Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from the
Southside Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor
Scott Perry officiating.
Interment was in Hodge-Enloe Cemetery, rural Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan,
Missouri.
