MO Local Obituaries for the Week of April 29, 2015 Gerald "Jerry" Aemisegger Gerald "Jerry" Aemisegger of Bland, Missouri was born on August 28, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Henry J. and Martha E. (Venton) Aemisegger and passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the age 71 years. He was a 1963 graduate from Central High School in St. Louis, Missouri. On January 26, 1963, Jerry married Marsha Palazzola in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Jerry and Marsha have been residents of the area since 1991 after moving from St. Louis, Missouri. Jerry was employed at Custom Printing in Owensville, Missouri for 10 years and retired in 2001. Jerry loved to garden. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, bee keeping and watching westerns. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal and Pittsburg Steelers fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Martha Aemisegger; two brothers, Robert Aemisegger and Louis Aemisegger. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marsha; four children, Tammy Wolford of Bland, Missouri, Steve Aemisegger and girlfriend Sabrina McGowan of Ava, Illinois, Mark Aemisegger and wife Dawn of Bland, Missouri and Scott Aemisegger of Owensville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, April Aemisegger, Sara Aemisegger, Andrew Bray, Brittany Aemisegger, Tabitha Durbin, Billy Benson, and Kaya McGowan; four great grandchildren, Rylee Limberg, Jayden Aemisegger, Jordan Comer and Harmony Comer; one sister, Darlene Shivers of Bourbon, Missouri; his favorite cat, Jade; other relatives and friends. Warren "Sam" Sanuel Beck Warren "Sam" Samuel Beck of Steelville, Missouri was born November 13, 1923 in Pine Lawn, Missouri to Vincil Edgar and Pearl Vance Beck and passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 4 days. He married Colleen Farrar and to this union one daughter was born. After Colleen's death, he married Earlene King on July 4, 1963 in Steelville and to this marriage one son and one daughter were born. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 as a Gunner's Mate on a Destroyer Escort. He was awarded the Victory Medal, the European African Mid East Ribbon with one star, the Asiatic-Pacific and the American Area Ribbon. Warren had worked at Krogers and the Steelville Drug for 22 years. He was later employed at the Steelville Post Office as a mail carrier for 23 years and retired in 1985. Warren was a collector of baseball cards and coins throughout his life. He was a member of the Steelville First Baptist Church and the Steelville VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincil and Paerl Beck; his first wife, Colleen Beck; his wife, Earlene Beck; two brothers, Edgar Beck, Robert Beck and wife Nancy; sisters, Elsie Matchell and husband George and Pearl "Sissy" Beck; brother-in-law, Wayne King and wife Juanita; and sister-in-law, Wanda Hutson and husband Clifton. Ashlea married James Jim Bob Stroup on November 16, 2009 and to this union two children were born. Ashlea was a mother and homemaker. She attended Living Word Church in Leasburg, Missouri. Marcus of St. James, Missouri was born on November 15, 1929 in Bedford, Iowa to Harold and Ethel (Arthur) Macky and passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She was united in marriage to James Marcus on her 18th birthday. Margaret was a dietician at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri for over 30 years. She was a member of the St. James Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and cooking. Her passion was her family and getting everyone together for a special occasion or for a Sunday afternoon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Mackey. Murrell enjoyed gardening. He always looked forward to spring, getting the flowers growing and the big vegetable garden going. He was always ready to share his harvest of fresh vegetables with family, friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed bee keeping, genealogy and travel. In his downtime he enjoyed reading non-fiction WWII pilot books. Rose married Charles Edward Robinette on December 22, 1964 in Steelville, Missouri and with this family there were five children. Rose achieved her Licensed Practical Nursing degree and had worked at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Rose made a commitment to the Lord and was a member of the Cherryville Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. She also liked making jelly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lorean Branson; son, Donald Lee Owens; daughter, Nancy Jo (Tim) Whitaker; and sister, Mary (Ross) Alm. She will be remembered for her love of fishing and being in the outdoors and her delicious cooking. She was preceded her huband of 58 years, Billy B. Cleatis Eugene Wisdom Cleatis Eugene Wisdom of Steelville, Missouri was born July 5, 1926 in Greeley, Missouri to Sargent McKinley and Pearl Mae Kay Wisdom and passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 15 days. On March 20, 1948, Cleatis married Clara Mae McCarter and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. Cleatis served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 during WWII as a sharpshooter. After marriage, he and Clara lived outside Salem, Missouri for a few years and then moved to Steelville, Missouri, which became their home. He was a member of the Steelville First Baptist Church. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing and training and showing his coon dogs and quarter horses for many years. Cleatis also made time for bowling in which he was still enjoying up until a few months ago. He had looked forward to the opening of turkey season this year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sargent and Pearl Wisdom; his wife, Clara Wisdom; one son, Larry Eugene Wisdom; one daughter, Donna Missey; brothers, Lester Wisdom, Lloyd Wisdom and wife Delana, Lowell Wisdom and wife Carrie, Rondal Wisdom and infant brother; sisters, Berthel and Darlene Wisdom; brother in-law, Dale Callahan. He will be sadly missed by his son, Denzel R. Lorena Wissmann Lorena Wissmann was born March 17, 1920 in Canyon, Idaho to Paul W. and Mollie Lorena (nee Hammond) Millsap and passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Lorena received her education at Lickcreek Grade School and Kirkwood High School. Lorena was united in marriage to Lester "Jiggs" Wissmann April 26, 1939 in Des Peres, Missouri. The couple made their home in Leasburg, Missouri. Lorena was a buyer for Rexall Pharmacy in Sullivan, Bourbon, and Cuba, Missouri. She was also a homemaker, and farm wife. Lorena was a 60-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #456 in Leasburg, Missouri. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Bourbon, Missouri and a member of the Ladies Aid at church. Lorena was also a member of the Crawford County Farm Extension Service. She enjoyed baking wedding, anniversary, and birthday cakes. She moved to Union, Missouri in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jiggs Wissmann; one sister, Lavinia Palmer; and one brother, Donald Millsap.
