Ester was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines where she went to school and later attended school for tailoring. She met Robert Gene Carmack Sr. while he was stationed in the Philippines and they later married on March 10, 1972 in Olongapo City, Philippines. Ester worked as a cook at Kelly's and Voss Truck Port in Cuba, Missouri and the Huzzah Club in Steelville, Missouri. She later worked at Tacony Manufacturing in St. James, Missouri. She attended First Apostolic Church of Cuba, Missouri. She loved cooking, was a nurturing woman who loved caring for and feeding people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Faustino Sr. and Nacy Academia; parents-in-law, William and Ruth "Jeanette" Carmack; siblings, Zenith (Maurice) Ross, Roland Academia; three other infant siblings; and brothers-in-law, Steve Carmack and Donald Turnbough. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert "Bob" Carmack Sr. of Steelville, Missouri; children, Robert "Rob" Carmack Jr. (companion Rachael Harris) of Cuba, Missouri and Chanda Carmack (fiance Ronald Boggs) of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Landon Alexander of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Emelia Blair of Levelland, Texas, Nicholas (Abigail) Lunsford of Ft. Robert "Bob" Glenn Dooley Robert "Bob" Glenn Dooley of Salem, Missouri was born September 4, 1944 and passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Schafer) Dooley of the home; children, Ricky Dooley of Texas, Becky Aguero and husband Pat of Texas, Shana Simon and husband Jarred of Oklahoma, Lisa Emory and husband Rick of Salem, Missouri, George Canaday of St. James, Missouri and Larry Newman and wife Tonya of Salem, Missouri; one sister, Joy Ring of Holdenville, Oklahoma; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Daryl Julius Daryl Julius was born July 11, 1947 in Union, Missouri to William and Lucille (nee Brune) Julius and passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Daryl attended school at the Union School District and East Central College. He served in the US Army from August 1966 to August 1968. He was injured in the Vietnam War and continued his service in Germany until his honorable discharge. Daryl worked at Chrysler for 30 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church Parish in Union, Missouri. Daryl enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises and trail riding. He was also an avid collector and bargain hunter. He was known as a handyman that could fix anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Julius; four siblings, Barbara Kelley, Terry Julius, Douglas Julius and Dwight Julius; two brothers-in-law, James Kelley and Ron Michels; and extended family, Leonard Brautigam and Clifford Brautigam. Shirley Ann Kinsey Shirley Ann Kinsey of St. James, Missouri was born October 30, 1935 in St. James, Missouri to Rubel and Velva Robertson Basford and passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the age of 84 years. She married Tony Kinsey on August 5, 1956. Shirley always found happiness in the simplicity of life-cooking meals, bird watching and being out on her farm. She loved to share stories of growing up with her mother and daddy and she enjoyed talking with her sisters. She never wanted to miss a Cardinal's baseball game. As a follower of Jesus, her strength and faith guided others with a light of selfless love. She was filled with patience and kindness. Shirley worked as a beautician and a medical receptionist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubel and Velva Basford; brother, Eugene Basford; and oldest sister, Patsy Davis. James Howard "Big Jim" Looney James Howard "Big Jim" Looney of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of Leasburg, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 7, 1941 to George and Mamie (Larrison) Looney and passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the age of 78 years. James served seven years in the United States Air Force as a cook and was stationed in Alaska, Philippines, Altus AFB, Scott AFB and Lowry AFB. While stationed at Altus Air Force Base he met Patsy (Miller) Norris and they were married on March 8, 1963. They were married for 20 years. After doing his time with the Air Force he worked 25 years for Sears as a customer service appliance repairman. James was known to many as "Big Jim" due to his huge personality and size, but that never stopped him from one of his greatest loves in life - fishing with family and friends. Recently he enjoyed going to the casino. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Looney; two sisters, June Cunningham and Fern Frazee; and brother, Glen Looney. Lloyd Allen Myers Lloyd Allen Myers of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 21, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia to Otis Lloyd and Maxine Henrietta Allen Myers and passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the age of 71 years and 3 days. Lloyd served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard and Army Reserves. Lloyd married Wanda R. Hoke on August 12, 1972 in Cuba, Missouri. Lloyd retired from Doe Run Mines, Sullivan, Missouri working in several different positions. Lloyd was a member of the Covenant Praise Church of God in Cuba, Missouri where he served as an usher and was involved in the nursing home ministry. He was a very friendly man and enjoyed making people smile. His hobby was fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Maxine Myers; sister, Pat Long; and parents-in-law, Jim and Hilda Hoke. Sergio Navarro Sergio Navarro of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 4, 1968 to Carmela and Rosendo Navarro of San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico and passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the age of 52 years, 1 month and 13 days. Growing up in Mexico, he loved being with his friends and playing in the nearby river. Since childhood he had a fascination with cars and later met Evelia. After coming to the United States, Sergio dedicated his life to being a father and running his own carpentry business in which he took so much pride in. He loved taking on new projects. He loved that his business not only allowed him to meet new clients but that it allowed him to create new friendships. Sergio could always be seen around town in his Alfa Romeo ruby red car and starting his morning with a coffee and donut. He loved going to the bakery or Casey's, but loved going to the Four Way with his wife even more. He enjoyed going to the wineries, attending social and family events, relaxing at the river and traveling. He loved sharing his life and photos, especially selfies, with friends and family on Facebook. He was preceded in death by his brother, Salvador Navarro. Gloria Jean Stroup Gloria Jean Stroup (nee Hamilton) of Bourbon, Missouri was born July 20, 1948 in St. Louis to Dennis and Juanita Bayless Hamilton and passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at the age of 71 years and 9 months. Gloria married James Stroup in September of 1969 in Cuba, Missouri Gloria graduated from Cuba High School and Cosmetology School. She worked in real estate for a few years and volunteered for the Red Cross. She enjoyed making ceramics, spending some time on the computer and traveling to Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Juanita Hamilton; and one great grandson, Bennett Kitchen. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Stroup of Bourbon, Missouri; one son, James Lee (Lisa) Stroup I of Steelville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Billie Jean (Mark) Kitchen of Bourbon, Missouri and James Lee (Liz) Stroup II of Steelville, Missouri; four great grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Hamilton of Utah; other relatives and friends. Brooke Kathleen Swallow Brooke Kathleen Swallow was born April 6, 1995 and passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the age of 25 years. Brooke will forever be remembered by her extended family and numerous friends for her infectious smile and genuine caring nature. Her life ended way too soon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Williams.
