Barbara was united in marriage to Bud Bridgeman on June 16, 1956 in Hernando, Mississippi and two this union two children were born. Barbara spent her life taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed playing bingo at the casino and bowling. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marie Hill. She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Bud Bridgeman of Thousand Oaks, California; two children, Terry and wife Debra Bridgeman of Cuba, Missouri and Lisa and husband Chris Dyck of Moore Park, California; three grandchildren, Tara and husband Ed Williams of New Kent, Virginia, Robyn Bridgeman of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Zachary Beethem of Moore Park, California; three great grandchildren, Johnny, Blair and Gwyneth; sister-in-law, Minnie Crider of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Hunt was born September 20, 1955 to Carl and Zoe Hunt and passed away February 25, 2014 at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 5 days. Michael grew up in Cuba, Missouri and graduated from Cuba High School in 1974. He lived in Houston, Texas before moving to Techachipi, California where he passed away in his sleep. He was working on a cherry and apple orchard ranch. Delmar B. Hutson Rev. Delmar B. Hutson of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, September 24, 1929 in Gray Summit, Missouri to Otis Hadley and Martha Elizabeth Bell Hutson and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 27 days. Delmar graduated from Cherryville High School in 1947. He accepted Jesus as his Savior in high school, was baptized in Crooked Creek in Sligo and was licensed to the gospel ministry at age 17. He attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri during the summers while he taught public school at Short Bend, Carr, Cook Station, Huzzah, Wesco, Cuba and Steelville. Delmar married Dorothy Marie Pinnell on September 8, 1952 in Salem, Arkansas. Delmar pastored for more than 50 years beginning his ministry at Shepherd Hill Baptist Church, rural Cuba, Missouri, Crossroads Baptist Church, Leasburg, Missouri for 14 years then Center Point Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri for 30 years, retiring from there in 1998. Delmar was a member of Lebanon Lodge #77 AF&AM, and the St. Louis Scottish Rite Club. He was a deputy for Johnny Giles and served as juvenile officer in Crawford and surrounding counties for 10 years. Delmar liked to buy/sell cars and motorcycles, and at one time had a car lot. For many years, he had horses and enjoyed trail rides. He loved riding 4-wheelers and camping with his boys. Delmar and Dorothy purchased Economy Shoe Store in Steelville, Missouri in 1952 from Buster Hewkins and Jay Garms, added clothing merchandise and became Hutson Economy Store. In 1957, Delmar's dad bought Hayes Shoe Store in Steelville, Missouri and merged the business into what became known as Hutson's Department Store. After 36 years, they closed out Hutson's Department Store in 1988. In 1989, the family opened Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri and in 1990, Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Martha Hutson; in-laws, James Lloyd Pinnell, Grace Coleman Pinnell and Marie Simmerly Pinnell; three brothers-in-law, Eugene Schmidt, Lindell Bouse, and James Haskell Pinnell; and one great grandson, Jubilance Divine Griswold. Herman Jackson Herman Jackson of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1925 to Clarence and Stella Easley Jackson and passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 22 days. Herman was drafted on September 10, 1943 into the United States Army during WWII. In June, 1944 he was sent to Europe and was a member of the 28th division of the Army serving as a rifleman and 1st scout until May, 1945 earning the combat infantry badge and rifle sharp shooter designations. He was wounded in action in Germany on November 5, 1944 and received the Purple Heart. He returned to active service until the war in Europe ended May, 1945. He was discharged from the Army in December, 1945. Other decorations and citations received included WWII Victory Medal, four Bronze Service Stars and Good Conduct Medal. Battles and Campaigns included Northern France, the Ardennes, the Rhineland and Central Europe. After service, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he married Dorothy Starks. He worked for several years at Tower Grove Foundry in St. Louis, Missouri and then moved to Steelville, Missouri in 1956 where he worked at Fleming manufacturing. He later worked for MoDOT and retired in 1985. After retirement, he continued to work part-time jobs at Lea's Feed Store and Jack's Auto Sales. He enjoyed cutting wood, brush hogging and working on his farm. Also, washing and waxing his truck. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Stella Jackson; brother, Albert Jackson; parents-in-law, Robert and Bertha Starks; brothers-in-law, Russell Gray, Mitchell Lewis, Cletus Conner, Earl Starks, Willard Starks, Bob Starks, Walter Karnes and Kenneth Hubbs; sisters-in-law, Virginia Gray, Evelyn Lewis, Jeanne Conner, Elenour Starks and Clara Jackson. Klem of St. James, Missouri was born August 14, 1925 at Belleville, Illinois to Edward and Grace (nee Krietner) Klem and passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 88 years. Robert was united in marriage to Laverne Logan on January 30, 1954 at East St. Louis, Illinois and to this union five children were born. Robert proudly served in the United States Army and the United States Merchant Marines. Robert was a Stag Beer truck driver for many years working at Fairmount and Cahokia Downs before he retired. He lived in the desert for 20 years and he always enjoyed going fishing. He spent hours painting scenery on rocks and the last several years family was the most important thing to Robert. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Grace Klem; brother, Bill Klem; and sister, Marie Gain. He is survived by his wife, Laverne Klem; three daughters, Judy and husband Brad Auer of Smithton, Illinois, Louise Ann Klem of Belleville, Illinois and Carole and husband Steven Casperson of Highland, Illinois; two sons, Rob and wife Denise Klem of Cuba, Missouri and Jeff and wife Megan Klem of Golden, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Concetta "Chetty" Katherine Pardee Concetta (Chetty) Katherine (Donati) Pardee was born December 14, 1914 in Bevier, Missouri to Emilio and Francesca (Amedei) Donati and passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 99 years. She lived in Rosati, Missouri for 95 years. Chetty was united in the Sacrament of Marriage to Donald Leo Pardee on June 16, 1951. They were married for 58 years until Don's death on July 21, 2009. Chetty was an excellent seamstress and employed for several years by Rice-Stix. Mostly she worked as wife and mother on her grape and cattle farm in Rosati. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Francesca Donati; brothers, Louis and Michael; and sisters, Anita Donati, Lena Marchi, Delphine Krewson and Corrine Zulpo. She is survived by her sons, Rev. Charles Pardee of Rosati, Missouri and Mark Pardee and wife Sharon of Gulfport, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Angela Pardee of Jacksonville, Florida and Anthony Pardee of Arlington, Virginia; one sister, Marie Cuccarollo of St. James, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Robert Pardee of Cleveland, Texas and Joseph Zulpo of Rosati, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Ann Piatchek Ann Piatchek of Cuba, Missouri was born July 2, 1938 at St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Catherine (nee O'Shea) Piatchek and passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at Cuba Manor at the age of 75 years. Ann worked for a trucking company in St. Louis as the secretary for many years before retiring and moving to Indian Hills. Ann was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, enjoyed playing dominoes and shopping on line. Ann made lots of good friends the two and half years that she spent at the Victoria Place in Cuba. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Piatchek; and sister, Mary Koke. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Richard Koke of Cuba, Missouri; nephew, Mike and wife Pat Koke of Florissant, Missouri; friend, Ralph Capriano of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Dennis "Buck" Lee Simpson Sr. Dennis "Buck" Lee Simpson, Sr. of Cherryville, Missouri was born December 23, 1949 in Steelville, Missouri to John Thomas and Arnetti "Lillie" Oxendine Simpson and passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 29 days. On October 5, 2003 in Steelville, Missouri he married Sheila Elaine Callahan. Dennis was self-employed for several years working as a concrete finisher. He always enjoyed working on lawn mowers and small mechanical engines in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arnetti Simpson; in-laws, Landis and Alva Conaway Callahan; infant son; brother, Dale Simpson; sister, Ruby Christenson; special nephew, Myron Garms; sisters-in-law, Fern Callahan and Sylvia Stroup and husband Raymond; and brothers-in-law, Lindell Thompson and Don Nickelson. William James Splittorff William James Splittorff of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Stamford, Connecticut on June 17, 1948 to William and Florence (Clark) Splittorff and passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the age of 66 years. Bill, as he was known by his family and friends was raised and later graduated high school from Stamford, Connecticut. After high school, Bill entered technical school and learned to be a tool and die craftsman. In 1973, he was married to Joan Roberts and to this marriage a daughter was born. After divorcing, Bill married Mary Ann Lachance on February 20, 1994. He was employed at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed cooking shows and trying his skills in the kitchen. Bill was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed auto bodywork, and at one time had a body shop where he could work on his cars. He enjoyed football and riding his lawn mower. Bill was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and guest member of the Sullivan V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence Splittorff and father-in-law, Robert Lachance. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Splittorff (nee Lachance) of the family home; one daughter, Lisa Marie Gousse (Gouse) of Lewiston, Maine; two grandchildren, Jaedyn and Ethan Gousse; mother-in-law, Joann Lachance of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Carol had lived the majority of her life in the Sullivan, Missouri area. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and was raised in the Presbyterian faith. On December 22, 1995 Carol was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Umfress at Cherryville, Missouri. She had a heart for animals and especially loved her dogs and horses. She also enjoyed camping and was taught by her mother to play the piano. She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Waller.
