She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Leonard "Bud" Burton of the home; children, Margaret (Jerry) Woodward, Spokane, Washington, H. Wendell (Joan) Turnbough, Seattle, Washington, Linda Turnbough, Spokane, Washington, Glenda (Dean) Haddican, Parker, Colorado, Lorna Wetzler, Spokane, Washington, Lenora Powers, Spokane, Washington. Eighteen grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman L. Turnbough and a son, Gary W. Turnbough. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Hayford Community Church. Viewing was Friday, March 31, 2006 from 2-8 p.m. at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, Spokane, Washington. Interment was in the Marshall Cemetery. Bertha Gay Cooper Bertha Gay Cooper, nee Stevens, of Cuba, Missouri, was born in Cuba, Missouri to Claude Hilbert Stevens and Lula Martha Burleson Stevens on Tuesday, February 22, 1921. She passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 8 days. Bertha married Guy Cooper at Carsonville Baptist Church, St. Louis. Missouri on June 23, 1945 and to this union two daughters were born. While living in St. Louis she taught three year old preschoolers in Sunday School for many years and was active in the WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She enjoyed gardening and most of all providing for her family as a loving wife and mother. Those who preceded her in death are her parents; sister, Gladys Schwidde and brother-in-law Charles Schwidde, She is survived by her husband, Guy Cooper of Cuba, Missouri; daughters, Dorothy (Bob) Nichols of Jefferson City, Missouri and Judy Stewart) Quittschau of O'Fallon, Missouri; brother, John (Helen) Stevens of Cuba. Missouri. Grandchildren: Stana (Jim) Gordon, Dena (John) Sanders, Liana (Greg) Denney, Jennie (Justin) Schnieders, Joe (Teresa) Nichols, Scott (Heather) Quittschau, Ashley Quittschau and Casey Quittschau; and 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Visitation was Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Jim Bruns officiating. Congregational music was "Because He Lives," "What a Friend we Have in Jesus," and "Jesus Loves Me." Burial was at the Enloe-Hodge Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri with pallbearers, Scott Quittschau, Joe Nichols, Gene Schwidde, Greg Denney, Jim Rose, and Brother Bob Knight. All arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Ansley Dalton Ives Ansley Dalton Ives, son of Seldon and Lena Ives, was born on February 12, 1931, in Cherryville, Mo. and entered eternal rest on April 29, 2006 at Depaul Hospital, Bridgeton, Missouri. Ansley and Margaret Bernice (Pilgrim) Ives were married on February 9, 1952. Two daughters were born to this union, Sheila Beth Fisher and Debra Arlene Reis (son-in-law, Robert Fishe) of Tustin Ranch, of California and Robert Reis of Florissant, Missouri. Survived by one brother, Donald Ives and wife Marcella of Florissant, Missouri. Three sisters, Hallie Bouse of Stover, Missouri, Marvell Kaysinger of St. Louis, Missouri and Jean Belt of Cuba, Missouri. Also survived by six loving grandchildren, Michael Surgeon and wife Patty of Wentzville, Missouri, Tony Reis and Pam of Wentzville Missouri, Kurt Reis and Kyle Reis of Florissant, Missouri, Bill Godbey of California, and Sydney Godbey of California. Great grandchildren, Ashleigh and Autumn Surgeon; one sister-in-law, Lucille Davis of St. Louis, Missouri. Many nieces and nephews and many children he and Margaret cared for the last 15 years and many loving and faithful friends. He was employed by Trimfort Shoe Company in the early 1950's, moving to St. Louis, Missouri when that plant closed and worked at Combustion Engineering Company for 25 years. He then worked at Harvard Industries until he retired. He was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Ottmer; three brothers, Ed Ives and wife Belle, Delmar Ives and Harles Ives; one nephew, Donnie Ives; brothers-in-law, Lute Bouse, Herschel Kaysinger, Henry Davis, Marvin, Leo and Melvin Pilgrim. Mass was celebrated May 3, 2006 at St. Ferdinand Church, Florissant, Missouri with Father Jack Dempsey. Interment was in St. Ferdinand Cemetery, Florissant, Missouri.
